For some reason, I really think that New Zealand honestly does not care about losing the series. But there should certainly at least try to avoid the Whitewash.

NZ intention now is just to finish this series and fly back home. After 33 over NZ are 173/3 and there CRR is 5.24. With this CRR NZ is expected to give a target of around 300 and it will test Pakistani batting lineup. Mark Chapman is looking dangerous as he has scored 36 runs on just 22 balls. Pakistan need to get Mark Chapman out as quickly as possible otherwise things may get out of control.

I feel like New Zealand can actually show some problems which led them to be unable to win the series. But whenever it is a whitewash it certainly does look very bad for any team. And the way New Zealand is playing today it certainly looks like they are very interested in avoiding the whitewash.

But Pakistan have lost two wickets scoring 40 runs, so I think Pakistan will have some problem in the batting line-up which will make New Zealand more likely to secure victory. I was expecting Pakistan to clean sweep the series and i thought they will be chasing the total and Babar Azam would produce another incredible innings but they already lost their 4th wicket and now the hopes of a clean series win is not there as the new comers Agha Salman and Iftikhar Ahmed are in the crease and if they could build a good partnership and take the team close then it would be great.

The batsmen of the Pakistan team got out very early. If the opening batsman would have been able to perform brilliantly then this match would surely have ensured Pakistan victory. But on the other hand, the New Zealand bowlers have to be praised, they managed to get Pakistan's middle order batsmen out very quickly. As a result, the match is now very much in their hands.

And the end of match New Zealand won the last ODI match by 47 runs. Actually I will also agree with you that in today's match in some how Pakistan couldn't stay on their previous match performance. If we look at the score card, none of Pakistan's top order batsmen performed well today, especially Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood. Even adding the total runs of the three of them, it cannot touched twenty runs. I really didn't expect such a performance from them however the previous performances were very good although I was busy these few days so I couldn't watch the games. However, a victory in the last match will be somewhat comforting for New Zealand. And all the best to Pakistan for the upcoming season, hope this series performance will help them.

The top order failed and Pakistan have lost the match. In the previous matches, even at the failure of one player the other contributed. In one match each and everyone contributed. In today's match bowling from New Zealand is good, particularly Shipley and Rachin bowled really well and took important wickets. Ifthikhar tried and continued his play, but there isn't a supporting player. These situations shouldn't arise, because it disappoints the good performer. Anyhow with the win New Zealand had avoided the series whitewash.

There is always a reason for a loss but to be frank, I was expecting this match to be won by New Zealand. It's not that Pakistani team is weak but I had a gut feeling that they have won the last four consecutive ODI, so they may lose this one as winning five out of five matches needs a bit of luck too other than the hard work.

The way NZ stated their batting strongly and the way Pakistan lost early wickets was a clear sign that New Zealand would win today's match.
Anyways overall, it was a good series for the Home team, and also remember that they managed to top the ODI ranking due to these recent wins under their belt.

The reason for the loss of the Pakistan team is (those who batted well in the previous 4th ODI match did not score runs in the 5th ODI match) this is the main reason for the loss of Pakistan. In the 5th ODI match, you notice that Masood, Babar Azam, Rizwan have performed very poorly in batting form. If they could have scored some runs and then the pressure on the other players would have been much less. The good batsmen collapsed in the power play which put the Pakistan team under a lot of pressure and at the end of the wicket. But if the over survived, Pakistan's victory was hidden in the survival of the wicket.
Meanwhile, New Zealand performed very well in terms of bowling due to which New Zealand's victory was assured. The small number of runs that New Zealand set was much lower than in other matches. That's why I think the biggest role behind New Zealand's victory is the bowling.
