with oryginal port 44440 I have 2 connection to nethwork. nor rising number. now its 8 weeks ago synchro but I had it with 0 conection to nethwork before. I change ALL to your config I copy all. More new addnodes which not saw in link on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nav/#!network maybe some help more. EDIT: 3 active connections to network 8 weeks behind. EDIT: after another 3 hours I make progress: 5 connection to nethowrk and 7 weeks (not 8 like before) behind. But I need to sleep so turn off. bye. It is not normal to have less connections to the NavCoin network when everyone else is having 7+ connections mate , have you tried a different pc or changed the network that you are currently in or maybe changed your router just to see if it is blocking ports? This seem to be a very specific issue that is prevalent to you mate. Unfortunately sometimes despite all the other factors are in like , there can be issues on the local network you are in that can pose issues to your syncing process. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need further help with regards to the same.
Warm Regards, ~SoopY~

I just came back and checked on the wallet. It's been 6 full hours and it still hasn't synced. I'm 3 weeks behind at about 150000 blocks
So... if the bootstrap is working, I can't see the advantage of using it.
It will be another 2 hours at least. I'll check in the morning, hopefully it will be OK
Very little of the time in syncing the blockchain is spent on downloading the blocks and most of the time is spent on CPU and I/O.
We are always looking for ways to sync faster and more efficient ways to sync mate.
Will further focus on this aspect furthermore.
That is why we are working on the Thin clients that's going to be available soon , where you can start using NAV right out of the box.
Warm Regards, ~SoopY~

downloaded 3.6 wallet and now its staking like a motherfunkster - like 10 a minute!
Any ideas?
There's not many clients on the 3.6.0 and the network is yet to propagate to it , so less weight. More stake for the one's staking.
Warm Regards, ~SoopY~

I did a full sync on the latest wallet, with the downloaded blockchain
It synced but still kept crashing after 15-20 mins and did not seem to be getting new blocks.
At some point it started staking like mad again so I shut it down.
All this time I am full of connections whereas the previous days (without problems) I had 3-4 at most.
What is bootstrap.dat and how does it help?
A bootstrap is a concatenate version of the blockchain. Once placed in your %APPDATA%/NavCoin2
It will read blocks from the disk and syncing should be pretty fast and minimal use of bandwidth.
Warm Regards, ~SoopY~

Also guys you can add.on your navcoin.conf file to speed up your syncing process.

Website and Wallet update
Dear NAV Community
We have seen some users today experiencing a problem with their wallets syncing. We have released a new version of the wallet with a built in checkpoint to get your block chain past the problem area.
Please proceed to the downloads page of the website to get the latest version of the wallet (3.6.0) http://navcoin.org/downloads
We have also uploaded a zip of the blockchain to this page, so if you're syncing from the beginning you can use these files to get a head start.
The android wallet has also resumed service now that we've updated the electrum nodes with the latest version.
All of our nodes are now on the latest version version which can be found on our github https://github.com/navcoindev/navcoin2/tree/master
Please add these nodes to your navcoin.conf
addnode=185.61.148.209 addnode=95.183.51.15 addnode=95.183.50.58 addnode=95.183.50.54 addnode=95.183.53.184 addnode=95.183.53.12 addnode=95.183.52.165 addnode=5.230.142.254 addnode=5.230.146.212
We will postpone the payouts from the twitter competition until the network stabilises. We endeavour to make these payments as soon as possible, hopefully within the next day or two.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your support!
Warmest regards, The Nav Team

Nice
I thought the web wallet was coming first (poswallet.com not counting). Is the web wallet going to use the same blockchain as mobile?
Can mobile stake? I suppose not but it's good to have it explicitly answered.
Can I import keys from desktop wallet to mobile wallet? So I can stake on desktop all the time and still have it accessible from mobile anytime.
Webwallet will be using same technic / bip32 electrum-server . There is no way for staking this way. Yoiu need a full node for staking. It is not implemented into HD wallets as far as I know. I don't know if there is a way of importiing these key. But I guess not, since this bites each other. Think about you want to send over mobile, but the coins you are sinding are in stake / not matured. That would occur into errors. Indeed as shahim said a staking mobile wallet is quite the power drainer and even though it can hold a blockchain on it and stake fine , it would be less practical in the long run.
The beauty of BIP32 is that you can import your keys from your desktop wallet to mobile wallet without effort.
Go to NavCoin on the Mobile Wallet
Go to Settings and you will see an option to import a private key.

any clue what i'm doing wrong cheers and thanks in advance Hi Mulleivan,
We understand your concerns please follow the following steps.
1. Please create a file named navcoin.conf and add the following nodes as shared by Shahim a few posts above this.addnode=1.10.221.32 addnode=1.10.221.56 addnode=1.34.180.245 addnode=104.236.223.182 addnode=108.95.144.170 addnode=109.110.66.76 addnode=118.173.178.240 addnode=122.166.167.187 addnode=122.53.112.74 addnode=123.3.30.61 addnode=14.192.209.23 addnode=160.176.171.123 addnode=171.6.250.169 addnode=175.214.144.141 addnode=176.154.77.92 addnode=184.167.180.122 addnode=185.17.207.189 addnode=185.61.148.209 addnode=199.189.131.12 addnode=2.121.162.167 addnode=2.84.167.61 addnode=208.95.215.81 addnode=212.180.171.44 addnode=213.108.119.84 addnode=219.88.236.170 addnode=219.88.238.26 addnode=41.142.44.167 addnode=45.50.28.121 addnode=5.230.146.212 addnode=60.53.25.89 addnode=73.10.170.79 addnode=73.254.153.254 addnode=76.21.107.113 addnode=77.121.108.134 addnode=77.236.177.243 addnode=78.88.29.171 addnode=79.42.100.117 addnode=81.156.249.127 addnode=84.52.229.225 addnode=84.84.197.176 addnode=87.113.188.239 addnode=87.195.35.125 addnode=88.217.180.223 addnode=90.200.245.58 addnode=91.153.109.149 addnode=92.45.169.75 addnode=93.185.20.219 addnode=93.185.20.248 addnode=95.183.50.54 addnode=95.183.51.15 addnode=95.183.53.184
2. Place this navcoin.conf file on ~/navcoin2/
3. Let it sync.
Please write back if you experience any further issues.

lol. Will get back to you in 45 mins or so then.
Yeah the network is getting very small and smaller ... the smaller it gets, the longer we have to wait Still no connections, have tried over several different wifi networks and left it running 6+ hours a few times over the past few days. Any ideas? pretty frustrating to have purchased nav over a year ago and now not be able to access them that things are upgrading :\ Hi ROT ,
I'm having a look at this.
Meanwhile if you are looking to swap , Shahim here will help you to manually swap your NAV 1.0 coins to NAV 2.0 coins in a jiffy.
