Wow, that site has turned into a huge advert since the last time I used it.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The BTC patron, who is he/she? on: March 01, 2014, 04:51:35 PM
.

Stop posting this then deleting your post when someone replies. It's annoying as fuck.
103  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Steam][Autobuy][24/7] 100% Automated steam gift sales! [Rust][Insurgency] on: March 01, 2014, 04:49:06 PM
Amazing idea, good luck.

Thanks I guess. I see you did it also from your signature.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Address of Austin ATM? on: February 28, 2014, 03:38:31 PM
Not too sure I'd trust a jailbroken (And thus root permissions & skewed sandbox) device to do financials on.
Why would you trust an Apple device for anything in the first place?

I don't use an apple device? I'd trust one, however, maybe not for my privacy, but, not to steal from me? Yeah, I'd trust Apple.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The BTC patron, who is he/she? on: February 28, 2014, 03:35:55 PM
I didn't like the question about my Top 5 Websites.
Why would you ask something like that?

youporn
xvideo
...

Someone doesn't automate their downloads of pornographic movies off newsgroups, I see.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Address of Austin ATM? on: February 28, 2014, 03:31:09 PM
I heard apple deleted all bitcoin wallets from app store. How can I send bitcoins to the address on a receipt within 300 seconds?

Evasi0n.com -> Jailbreak -> Install the official Blockchain.info app from Cydia

Not too sure I'd trust a jailbroken (And thus root permissions & skewed sandbox) device to do financials on.
107  Economy / Gambling / Re: Player might have Committed Suicide at dice.com He lost 20 bitcoins on: February 28, 2014, 03:12:37 PM
The fact any of you take this seriously is insane, the amount of suicides people claim on the internet is insane.
108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it standard to create a new address everytime? on: February 27, 2014, 10:20:29 PM
It's recommended, for multiple reasons:-
1. Easier to tell who is paying what from where
2. Better privacy, site A can't tell you also use site B. Site A also can't tell how much money you have.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why does "createrawtransaction $(decoderawtransaction $hexString)" not work? on: February 27, 2014, 08:48:31 PM
Anyway, it'd be very simple to do, I would do it, but, the issue is that I couldn't guarantee uptime of months on months (Which, I know some people would want, to say "I want this broadcasted in X months/years"), so, I'm not going to.

Actually, several services like this could should be set up, all of them broadcasting the same transactions (at about the same time, when they'll be accepted)  - If one of them fail, it doesn't matter because the others would do the job. What should be done is some kind of replication server to do that job... so all the servers stay synchronized and maybe more importantly nobody can't put a threat on a server's owner to make a transaction disappear as an exemple for financial reasons...

Ho damn, I just reinvented the peer-to-peer, ho well ...

Well, if bitcoins just accepted transactions that were in the future, there's your setup.

Unfortunately, people have to ruin the fun and use it for DoS attacks (I believe that's why it's disabled?).
110  Economy / Auctions / Re: Rare Starbucks giftcard on: February 27, 2014, 03:18:07 PM
does this only work in the US?
It does i think, someone correct me if so.

It works just like a regular starbucks giftcard. If a starbucks near you accepts giftcards it will work just fine.

Gift cards are region locked (Due to currencies). I can't go to the US, buy a $10 giftcard, then spend it in Germany, as, Euros != USD.
111  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Spotify/Google Play Gift Cards on: February 27, 2014, 02:48:53 PM
Wait, what, so for a £10 gift card, we have to give you £12.50 in BTC?

Yeah...
...you realize the majority of people offer discounts? I bought a 1 year spotify subscription two months ago for $6.

I would offer discounts, but I don't like making an immediate loss. If I had a way of getting the cards cheaper, then of course I would offer a discount...

My point is that others can get the cards for cheaper, so, why'd anyone buy from you? You have to give a reason for people to choose you over others.

How I recommend doing it, allows a lot of customization:-

114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick BTC transfer between exchanges, on: February 26, 2014, 08:57:00 PM
5-10 minutes? What?

This should take you ten seconds tops, I know if I made a service I'd have to working instantly.

Instantly takes 1-2 minutes at least.

But hey isnt 10 minutes better than 40 or 60?

And this will give you chance of arbitrage like you wanted.

Why does it take 1-2 minutes?

1. User gives you code/transfers money
2. System automagically activates and checks code/transfer.
3. System generates/transfers money from exchange in question to them.

Define "Small Fee"

It could be 0.5% or 1% of the amount being transferred.

I would say a 1% fee, but, a cap of around a dollar or two. So, if someone isn't transferring that much, they pay very little, but, if they're transferring a lot ($100 or more), it's capped and they're not paying insane fees.

Define "Small Fee"

It could be 0.5% or 1% of the amount being transferred.

That's a HUGE fee.

Jesus how do you even think anyone would pay that kind of fee.

TacticalFacepalm.

I currently dont want to go below 0.5%.Imagine what you will be getting for this.

Honestly? Unless you can convert USD as well, and not just BTC, not much from what I'm seeing.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Cold Storage? Is this secure! on: February 26, 2014, 08:53:54 PM
I'm new to Bitcoin, if you want Bitcoin to work you can't call non tech savy people idiots...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiot_proof

It's common to call people idiots, don't feel bad. It's more of a generalized term. Imagine a internet service provider, they must get tens of thousands of calls per day, a tiny percentage of those people actually know what they're doing, the rest go "Duhh, router in da c00mp0tor, wats meh p4$$w0rd?", so, the level one technicians (Who probably don't know much themselves) have a flowchart explaining everything they have to say, so, that the idiot on the end of the phone doesn't get overloaded. Don't get me wrong, I'd love if my ISP would pick up the phone and listen to me when I say "Yup, I can verify the issue is at your end (from your modem, upstream), issue occurs even executing the task from it's perspective", but, then way to many "Duhh, I thunk i no wut im doing" types would pick up the phone and be like "omg slow net", when running 10Mbit NIC cards or something.

On top of that, I fail to see why you need to use tor, you're just opening your self up to a MITM attack. You're trying to be secure, not private.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Cold Storage? Is this secure! on: February 26, 2014, 08:28:13 PM
Having a nervous breakdown here...

Then stop trying to do what you are doing. The way you are going about it you are likely to loose bitcoins because you made a mistake and not because somebody stole them from you.

This. Don't use technology you don't understand, or, wasn't aimed at complete idiots.

I've just got an E-mail from Gox, is this legit ?  ( I didnt open the attachment yet)

emails can easily be spoofed. I can even send you an email from admin@paypal.com. Don't trust anything that is not yet announced.

>Via smtp.com

That's not even a valid attempt at spoofing. That's just a failure.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Path for Wallet on: February 26, 2014, 06:40:30 PM
Thanks XCASH,

You went above and beyond the call of duty!  You even took the trouble to post an image.

I did what you said, and it worked perfectly.

Many Thanks!!!

Many people use software such as ShareX, literally takes about ten seconds to take a photo, see I did one too:-

Anyway, I'm posting to point out, if you don't want to enable hidden folders, you can just do:-
Code:
%appdata%

In the address bar:-

It'll take ya there.

too -- in addition to a Raspberry Pi build Smiley

Grand, but, will it be only for Debian or for other distros as well? I know the actual source (last I tried) got all pissy that I couldn't use .deb files.
