Hey guys,

A discussion about Supernet vs. Blocknet has been started over on the Reddit site here...

http://www.reddit.com/r/Litecoindark/comments/2jnpr9/governance_of_the_blocknet_the_blocknet_will_be/

Please drop in and give your opinion on the matter... We have time now to learn about both because we will need to make a decision on which way to go in the coming days or months!!

Cheers,

Ghosty

Is this your another profile voodoo1967?

I've been having an impression that you might have created few profiles in this forum lol

I can assure you that Voodoo only has one account... He and I are friends in RL and I was about to post a response to whomever made that statement... Although Voodoo and I are very active in these forums and on the Reddit site we are not part of the PR team... We are just community members just like the rest of you but we have decided to do whatever is within our power to help out... So we started the Reddit site and continue to update it, we have been instrumental in getting the coin added to various sites and exchanges, we have written articles for the dev team, we have helped out with the development of the new website by proof reading it and making corrections as english is our first language (which is looking great I can tell you but still a bit of tweeking left to do IMO), we have participated as much as we can but we have done nothing that any one of you couldn't do... Anyone of you could get your names on the hall of fame with simple participation... You can start by helping get to 100 subscribers on the Reddit site so if you haven't subscribed yet please do so now and you will have a chance to win the 1000LTCD that is up for grabs!!

Cheers,

hello people.
1 question. TrollByFire, Xircom or general dev. somebody please explain one thing
What is the specificity cryptocurrency second generation?
I like many here present almost from the start of the coin. but the last 2 months, and no information about it is not.
please rediscover the mystery and give at least some information about it. and why did you decide that it would be cryptocurrency second generation?
Today dozens of protocols and algorithms, the mass of hybrids and varieties.
I do not want to offend anyone or trolling (honestly), but in the 2 months you have not even been able to create mac wallet.
so how and what exactly do you plan in the creation of this very cryptocurrency 2nd generation?

I think people have a right to know this, because leaving such strong statements for them to follow though, would have any plans. Plans with the vector and the details though, would be a little
[/quote]

Personally I think the fact that this coin is built in a modular fashion is the primary feature that makes it a 2nd generation crypto... I don't think people understand just how big a deal that really is... I am sure there will be other cool and unique features in time though... It's been 6 weeks since launch not 2 months... I am sure we would have been further down the road if not for the block reduction issues... Also there are probably features that they want to keep secret until they are ready for launch so that other coins can't get a head start on duplicating them... I expect that much progress will be made in the coming weeks as new features get dropped into place... Once again patience is key... Because it  doesn't matter what coin you are invested in... It's a long term investment!!

In the case of StealthCoin, some people think they are staking coins, because there wallet has been broke for 9 days. Stealth had a major update, and Cryptsy has been broken since then.

Well my coins still have not shown up there and they were supposed to have updated the wallet awhile ago... I have yet to hear back from them about what the issue is... Whatever the problem they better fix it cause I won't let them sleep until they do!!!

Somethings weird... I sent some LTCD to cryptsy last night around 11:30PM and they still have not shown up in my wallet there... They are looking into this but it was sent from the latest wallet so I have to assume it's something on their end... I know they had some hardware failures they had to work out yesterday so I hope they are still on the right wallet after getting those fixed!!

Has anybody else had any issues with sending LTCD to Cryptsy recently?

I mentioned something to NetworkAdmin in their chat, and Mullick has been very busy with the fiasco they have had. On the email that was sent to all of the pools and exchange support departments, I noticed that Cryptsy was not on the list. I assume they have not yet updated.

How could we miss not sending an email to Cryptsy about the wallet update... Surely that was done... Did we get a confirmation from them?

I have proof I have send them a email and I am sure Xircom Also have that. Also on Twitter I have send them a tweet...

Yeah I didn't think we would miss one of our biggest exchanges on such an important update... Still not sure why my coins have not shown up there but it must be a problem on their end!!

@Litecoindark @TrollByFire @Xircom @Devs: have you seen this opportunity?

SuperNet has a new competitor that seems more serious: Blocknet !

LTCD could join them?

http://downloads.xc-official.com/images/14-10-15%20Blocknet%20presentation.pdf

At this point in LTCD life it would be extremely foolish to even consider that.  Once the Blocknet stuff is actually built, proven itself, is open source, the whole XC sphere of stuff has also shown itself to be de-centalized and is proven to actually be of benefit to any other coins as opposed to just XC itself, then it should be considered.

they do have some good coins/devs participating in it already tho, i think the point ppl are making is that we should keep an eye on it and not just keep supernet as option only.

We don't even know if we will be accepted to the SuperNet yet and it's still a ways down the todo list so yeah at this point we are just exploring our options... Heck SuperNet has been around longer and some believe it hasn't yet proven itself to be an asset yet to any other coins... We need to educate ourselves on both these options and choose the best one when the time is right!! It's never too soon to do some home work and some leg work!!

I think this should certainly be explored at the very least... Everyone should read up on it because it might come down to a vote... that's assuming we can even get access to the supernet but if not this might just be the alternative opportunity we need and might even be the better solution to begin with!! Great find!!

I'm very impressed with this coins dev. I'm new here, and new to this coin. I've spent a lot of time involved in other communities and never seen such active involvement between the dev and the community. I recently came out of a squabble about changing the name of Boolberry, and that dev was very heavy handed. If you wanted a change you'd almost have to petition for it, and in the end the dev would end up doing his own thing. There were some big investors interested in the coin, which would have been huge for that coin, but the dev refused them. Tech wise Boolberry was impressive, but there was very little community involvement in the coins tech and road map. This coin's tech is awesome as well, but with one major difference the dev actually listens and acts on what the community wants. I applaud you guys, and now see why all the hype around this coin wasn't unwarranted.

+100 and welcome to the community... Please take some time to subscribe to the Reddit site as well you might have a chance to win 1000 LTCD once we hit 100 subs!!

that's one big green circle on bittrex for buys in ltcd wow Grin

What's encouraging about that is that the volume in LTCD of those buys is several times greater than the total number of LTCD that will ever exist.  What's discouraging is that the order for that number is as low as 1 satoshi.  This is why I don't market.

I noticed that also... Guess you couldn't ask for more demand then that!!

LOL

We have to tell then, that this multipool was throwing 50 Ghash at the network at last Hardfork, so we could not get through the blocks. I can tell you all we could bite out tongues for not shouting like maniacs.
Instead we took the quiet way and this hard-fork is the result. No multipool is going to tell us what to do ever again.
Now the team can focus on the real deal and move on with the dev.

Thanks guys for your patience, it has been a struggle.

It was amazing to watch this unfold!! Now everyone you can see by this example just how powerful a feature it is to have a modularly build coin... This one feature alone makes LTCD unique and the first of it's kind as a true 2nd generation crypto... In the past there have been whole pieces of software written just to do this same sort of thing to be able to apply that to a coin... Our coin has it built right in!!

This is going to turn some heads and open some wallets!!

Great job dev team!! ~Slow Golf Clap~

Looks like we made the transition smoothly, and Difficulty Shield's modular design played a big part in this one.  A stub difficulty engine was built and made effective at block 59999 which essentially makes "all blocks" zero difficulty.  At block 60000, control of network difficulty was once again passed to the KGW-based module which has a maximum upward adjustment which allowed us to ease back into a proper block schedule.

Essentially, what we've just done was modularly swap difficulty algorithms on the fly using shield's OO architecture not once, but twice within just a few blocks.

This is what all the delay was for.

Best of luck to you all.  I already have several changes planned for the next update.

Great work... With your ingenuity in coding I can't wait to see what you come up with... We are very lucky to have such a skilled programmer on the team!!

Nice Breaking News ltcd is multipool resistant  Grin Now we know what they have been doing Great work Devs

A big multipool contact the team to tell us what to do with LitecoinDark, kind of controlling the coin. Unfortunately for them it didn't work out so well...  Grin

It's probably the multipools dumping all that coin so low!!

I have one thing to say to them... Bye bye!!!

lol

How to get BTC fast:

If you ever wondered how to get BTC fast to buy LTCD, then use this guide. I do it my self and bought for € 280,- in the last days.
Its quite foolproof if you follow the guide. You only need either a Paypal adress or a creditcard.
When the first 3 transactions has been approved you are allowed to buy for more Fiat than the start up limit of 60,-€ pr transaction. Try it out  Wink
http://www.bitcoinscreditcard.com/

Check out Circle, its faster than Coinbase in getting from fiat to Bitcoin. No waiting period you can buy coins with you credit card. Up until now I was getting my BTC from Coinbase. You can get it by hooking you bank account with ACH just like Coinbase, and also you can use a credit card. I even heard you can use a gift card as well. Check out, it a lot better than Coinbase. I've used it twice and can highly recommend Circle it. Here it the link:

https://www.circle.com/en

Circle looks good but I'll be holding off using it until they bring support for Canadian Bank Accounts... Until then I will continue to use Quadriga... For you Canadians here is a link... I have used this site to purchase bitcoins straight up with an electronic funds transfer and I will use it again!!
