This Gox bot is scary.

Is not... It keeps up the good work  Grin
Would be great to have Willy's twin also on stamp...

There's been an arb bot running between gox and bfx all day.

Bit off topic.. but i know this thread get's plenty of attention, so cheekily i'm posting here.
It's a link to another thread i posted, it's the story of a man who lost his sight through Glaucoma 5 years ago, and is attempting to fight a legal battle in Ireland for the right to have medical marijuana..

if you feel curious, please check it out. I've been in contact with him and have since set up a address to help aid his cause, legal fees and so on..

sure go on.. have a wee look -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=431596.new#new

Good cause, I hope he's successful.

Medical marijuana makes a huge difference everyday to people with all sorts of ailments. Shame they have to involve themselves in criminality just to relieve their symptoms, it's a human rights issue.

OMG, it's Saturday and nobody's panicked yet- time to throw around some FUD!
Yeah, Gox sucks, but we've known that for a while and it's priced in.

yes, but that was a problem withdrawing fiat - now people are complaining they can't withdraw btc either.

Make hay while the sun shines guys.

I'm shopping for a rig now, I figure that I can use it for other coins if things go badly with btc, I would love to be mining doge right now - I'm tempted by the fact you can swap coins easily as the market dictates.

But how long until guys with BTC stop trying to make more BTC by manipulating the altcoin markets, only alts that are not prone to this are at BTC-e (with fiat coming into it).  I dont see how Doge coin will be tied to BTC like LTC is now.

Prob not that long, but the lifespan of my rig would be limited too, I don't see the manipulation stopping any time soon.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 24, 2014, 03:26:31 PM

Am I reading this wrong or is it far better to buy rigs in USD?

Its always better to buy rigs in USD, the question I am kinda asking is it actually better to buy a rig in USD (and mine for a year) or just the coins now.  Assuming say $2,500 on an average across the board setup.

nvm, I read it wrong.

I'm sure there were plenty of people who have contacted Bitpay with buying offers.

I doubt that these coins will hit the market.

They use bitstamp.

I´ve just read that google is also thinking about bitcoin as payment method. But its not official.

Google are not thinking about using Bitcoin as a payment method, they're just looking at it.

http://thenextweb.com/google/2014/01/23/despite-claims-reddit-suggesting-otherwise-google-says-current-plans-regarding-bitcoin/

Tell Google what you want regarding Bitcoin here, 1000's of others already have :

https://www.google.com/moderator/#16/e=20e106

They don't want to incorporate btc because they are workng on their own version of it - they recently applied for a patent which failed. Think about it, google copy every good idea, they have unlimited funds and googlecoin fits into their world domination ethos perfectly.

I'd definitely buy some Googlecoin if it wasn't pegged to a fiat value, however I think that would be unlikely.

Imagine the stampede to buy!

EDIT: ok, I'm bored of btc now, gimme some googlecoin!!
Any Google coin would definitely have an NSA backdoor built in.

Wall St would go loco. I'm sold, where can I buy??

I just mailed your posts to some participants from the upcoming senate hearing...

Can you share their email addresses? I'd like to send a few emails myself.

We're doomed Smiley

I would also like to point out that I have a private key memorized.  Nobody's worked out a way to hack human memory as far as I'm aware. Cool

What about your family if the worst happens? Your wife / children / mother / husband / favourite charity or whatever can't retrieve btc by showing a death certificate and a will, they can with all other assets.

I have made arrangements so that my family can retrieve mine if needed (nice bonus that it's tax free too).

Seriously guys - STOP USING GOX.

The volume is so low it's pitiful. Look at btc-e, stamp and huobi for what is really going on. No-one with money follows gox anymore.

I understand that eBay will allow buy/sell cryptocoins ads, but will not use Bitcoin themselves.

How much will it cost to place an ad in that section?

That Classified Ads section will probably be a very slow and very inefficient cryptocoin exchange.

Is there trade in other commodities going through eBay?

[edited for typos]

People have been selling bitcoin there already, I know someone who bought some there as Xmas presents (& yes they were at a ridiculous price, but quick and easy).
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 19, 2014, 05:13:13 PM
It is actually the same bullshit Gox bot that was identified a couple weeks ago. At least on Gox. People call it the "Willy" bot and is likely run by MtGox since it had trading access while everyone else was shut out of Gox for an hour+ last week. Most of this current rise on Gox is the Willy bot. Buys around 15btc every 7-10 minutes.
There is no indication that anybody is calling the bot "willy"

You should read and listen to more btc live casts, a lot of people are calling it willy. I think it was 'coined' a week or so ago on the live cast run by this guy bonavest.com - there was another name in the running too, but I forget that.

Dunno what's up, people. I'll have it sorted shortly though.

Hope so, we always crash when chartbuddy goes down.

O Market Pundits: is the volume low because the price is stable, or is the price stable because the volume is low?

This. I´m expectin to see serious dumps over the weekends as upwards manipulation hardly works anymore. So i guess we´re seein a harsh downards correction. Just my 5 Satoshi  Wink

Edit: Gox buybot is in full maniac mode. Buyin 15-19 BTC of his own asksevery 4-5 minutes. I assume the real Gox Volume without bots and Mark´s orders would be about 50-100 BTC per day.
Great to have a market leader like this....

Could I ask, did you create your account solely to come and spread FUD or do you have an ulterior motive that has not yet become apparent?  Cheesy

14 activity - there is huge chance he is going to post utter bullshit all the time Cheesy

That's curious, I always think that about people who sell their sig.

Guess you think I sold my sig  Grin

Your own affiliate link is the same thing, all it does is show you know the system.
