102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [DIME]Exchange post for users | so many million coins users here on: December 26, 2013, 07:10:34 PM
Mining difficulty is going up, my prices are coming down.

I'M LIQUIDATING!!!

450,000,000 ->  yes, 450 million DIME  for 1.75BTC.

WAIT!  Act now and get 44 Million free DIME with your trade.

That's right, 494 MILLION DIME for 1.75BTC.

In all seriousness... let me know today if somebody wants this, otherwise I'm tossing it in archive status and I'll just make off like a bandit if it ever hits an Exchange... hey, it happened with DOGE.

OOC, what hardware are you running to get 450Mill?   I've got two E3-1230's running full tilt, and at first I was getting a few mill/day, now getting between 800k-1.6mill/day, but it's slowing down.   I've got ~40million so far, but jeez 450?  did you start minute one?
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DIME] Dimecoin | Many Coins | Step Reward | CPU mining on: December 26, 2013, 07:08:12 PM
Difficulty is very high at 302.03723040. Anyone manage to mine?

E3-1230v2 @ 160-200Kh/s, still getting ~ 1Million-1.5 Mill a day.
E3-1230 @ 120Kh/s  ~800-1 mill a day.

all aboard the fail train.   What's next?  Nigeriancoin?    Block reward of 1 million coins, you just need to send a facilitating nigeriancoin payment to the creators nigeriancoin account first.

Oh...and reserved.   Xie Xie Ni.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: December 26, 2013, 10:42:08 AM
Is there an option to auto-sell my coins that I'm missing somewhere?  I'm a slow miner (100 KH/s), so getting tiny amounts like 0.00029534 WDC ends up being useless to me.  I can't sell them because its less than the transaction fee.

No offense, but you're likely burning more in electricity costs than you'll ever make from 100 KH/s

37,061,632 dime, Make me a reasonable offer, or I'm hanging on in hopes they get on an exchange.  >1 BTC

is there a password reset link somewhere?   I can't login to check to see if I was affected, it doesn't take my password.

Edit:  just saw the post about being locked down.  That explains things Smiley
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HASHCO.WS WEBSITE HACKED ALL MONEY STOLEN on: December 26, 2013, 12:08:07 AM
I tried to log in to change my password, but it just sits and gives me the login page again, no errors or anything.  I don't see a password reset link either, so how the hell can I reset my password?   I had fortunately removed all funds from there except maybe 0.02 BTC, but I'd still like to grab that out if possible.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2.500.000 Doge Coins For 300$ on: December 25, 2013, 05:44:07 AM
I'll bite.  I'll see your 300$ and raise you to 3 BTC...  deal?  send me your  credit card #, exp date, and CV2 code, so I can credit the BTC back with my credit card terminal
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm after a 4Mh/s hashrate using 4 or 5 GPU but which are best (and cheapest)? on: December 25, 2013, 01:45:49 AM
radeon r9 290x's supposedly do around 900 kh/s each, so 4 of those would work, but probably run you around 1300 watts.  I've got 3 280x's doing over 2100 Kh/s  @ ~940 watts, waiting on a second PSU and my aluminum frame chassis to come in to add 3 more.

I tried venturing out onto 290x's but they didn't perform so well mixed with my 280x's in win 7, perhaps they'll do better on a linux platform
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The REAL alternatives to Bitcoin - Nxt, MMC, Sky, Master... on: December 25, 2013, 01:39:17 AM
With this forum being flooded by giveaways and dogecoin bullshit, it's time to discuss the state of alt coins.
There are 100+ forums for pump and dumb, get rich quick coins.

For example, Mastercoin was just released on coinmarketcap and with little or no promotion already has $60mil market cap. This is not even being discussed on these forums.

dogcoin bullshit?   Funny, I just sold for a 300% ROI.

ok, i'm beginning to wonder if this is a trick coin, just got home to find no mined blocks

What are you mining with?  I threw 64 CPU cores at it and it was spitting out blocks like a lego hooker.

LOL  64 cpu cores? christ.   I threw 8 cores on a server at work plus my hyper-threaded 4 cores at home, and I've come up with ~28Million coin

...

Does anyone has any experience with, for example mining Doge, with a R9 280X?
I would like to know if it is worth to mine with this card.

The R9 280X pulls around 850 kH/s of scrypt hashing on optimal settings without overclocking, and that's not half-bad. However, if you're serious about making an effort with this you should try locating an HD7990 instead. It costs just marginally more than the 290X but does around 1350 kH/s before overclocking, and can reach 1500 kH/s with a tiny amount of overclocking - assuming you can manage to cool it properly so it doesn't throttle down from the heat.

off topic, but what did you do to get 850 khs out of a 280x?  I've got two (sapphire and a gigabyte) and under win 7 x64 i can only get 750Khps out of both ( total around 1500Khs.  here's my config:

Hi All.
Im looking into starting the build of a facebook page/app/iframe that is essentially a Doge Faucet/Give away with the aim of spreading the word to a larger audience outside of these forums and would like the thoughts of others.
My plan of attack is to front up 500,000 doge myself into the initial pot, and then continue to fuel it with 10% of anything else i mine.
The payouts will be approx 2% of the faucets balance daily and divided equally amongst facebook subscribers until exhausted - no idea what payments will work will fudge that as i go.
Subscribers can refer a friend (upto a max of 10) and receive upto 10x their share (essentially the same as signing up themselves 10 times) with the aim of spreading the word.
As part of the signup process they will partake in accepting wall posts with latest news regarding Doge including current value, merchants selling via doge etc etc. Again - hopefully helping spread the word.
As part of the embeded facebook app i will include information about the coin, links to the wallet, games, merchants etc (see rough design).
Once setup i would like to approach pool owners to contribute directly towards fueling the faucet. In return i will advertise their pool within the app. I will limit this to only a few pools that have good support on these boards.
So thats my plan. My time is fairly limited over xmas but im going to aim to launch in Jan if people think this is a good idea.
Im not a designer by trade so please dont be too critical of my efforts! My skillset lies mainly within Javascript and responsive programming these days but have enough experience with server side stuff to pulls this off.

Let me know your thoughts and opinions and if positive ill start building this up. More than anything i kinda want to do something fresh - i do web dev every day and get fucking sick of being asked to build 'another wordpress site' and doge has sparked my imagination Smiley
I wont be too hurt if no-one likes this. Only spent a few hours in photoshop so you can be ruthless :p
Thanks!

You spelled phenomenon wrong...

Other than that, looks cool!
