Yes you can dual mine now, but the sidechain will dual mine and complement the main chain data structure. Also kind of an oversimplification to call it just a sidechain, but really more of a "sidechain structure" so to speak. This is Team EGEM original contribution to the cryptosphere and based on real world projects implemented on a blockchain like structure over a ten year period.

Definitely a POW coin that will trade and most likely combined with an airdrop to EGEM hodlers at launch to get it started.

Right now we are focused on releasing a side chain that works in conjunction with the main chain. The POW mining community is very important to EGEM so if the average GPU miner is affected by ASIC we will take effective action when those issues are brought to our attention.

EGEM is listed on bitshares which has been around for quite some time. This also gives you access to your trade through the DEX opening up cryptobridge and openledger. You have to search a little harder to find it on CB (direct link). Not sure how hemorrhoids trade on bitshares myself, but EGEM is pretty easy to deposit on that exchange by just following the directions at trade.egem.io link. This it is a temporary solution until we embed the api in our wallet. You can deposit BTC or BTS onto bitshares and buy EGEM there too. The only interface is you have to have the EGEM routed to your bitshares wallet through the Team EGEM deposit account. It is routed to your EGEM wallet through the Team EGEM withdrawal account. Both are on the form at trade.egem.io. We are a new coin just about a month old if even that. So, this is pretty good timing for first exchange. More exchanges will follow and we will let you know when they do. Thanks.

You can register your wallet in the bot channel and get rained on, for instance. This is when a community admin or dev will just rain a rewards on a number of registered wallets. Hi, there. We do most of our community interaction on discord, but here is what's new: The reimbursements for the first day mining on the soft launch are now complete.

This means the next thing is bounty rewards and roadmap release.

Decentralized so none at the moment.

New coin that doesn't trade yet? Miners testing the difficulty and playing with nicehash? Network stats page needs an update? We seem to fluctuate  between 100 and 600 GHs but are balancing between 100 and 200 GHs really. That block rate of 13s is starting to dial in.
