21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NO-PREMINE][QuarryMN][EtherGEM] An ethereum network with a different view on: November 12, 2018, 12:25:44 PM
How is EGem different than ethereum apart from few basic changes.
I want to know what exactly do you plan to achieve.

If its just about speed then there are a lot of other networks like EOS, Tron which can achieve the same.
If its just about a different skin of Ether then it makes no sense.
Ethereum also has a list of plans to make a move towards POS, along with addressing the scalability issue. If they are successful then there wont be any need for EGem.

Just curious about why are people supporting this project.
Looks like a lot of shilling going on in twitter for the same.

...and quite the opposite of a "lot of shilling" EGEM almost made a "non announcement" of the recent airdrop of SFRX 2:1 to all EGEM holders because it EGEM community is tight knit since day one and it was based to reward on participation in the initial chain build. If you happen to be on tweets related to EGEM you might want to consider yourself fortunate to be following someone that at least is into real POW crypto. The entire team came from another coin project and has not advertised at all except grass roots to active participants. Case in point, an airdrop is a major marketing move for shilled coins and I don't even think a single reddit post was made in advance of the airdrop. The team came from a previous ethereum based POW project and a community that values working on this type of chain as a base, and has made significant enhancements on that open source stack that are coming out on this integrated subchain. Meanwhile the information on Twitter has been to a direct audience and in conjunction with podcasts and conference attendance or even private dev meetings with a need to reach that direct audience. Besides I think you are also overlooking the fact that there was no pre mine or ICO on this fair launch POW eth chain which is a direct improvement over those exact activities on Ethereum.

All that being said, team EGEM developers (at least myself for certain as I am one of them) are extremely appreciative of the ETH codebase and philosophy and have decided to improve on that function in their own way. Initially, yes, this means only a difficulty adjustment and faster block time with a removal of the premine and presale funds, lowering the uncle reward, and a fair launch mining situation. But, secondly an extension to that base of a retrofit "quarrynode" was placed into the community to support network growth. Finally that base is being enhanced with a multi currency wallet and additional related chain (our integrated subchain sapphire) that improves the way the entire ecosystem interacts with the stable core. Sapphire is original code from the ground up that incorperates some new connection protocols for peers (based on other open source projects which will be acredited in the code) and unique approach to mining and node expansion. Sapphire is also independently mined with a dofferent algorithm than the main chain and is designed to accommodate dual mining expansion of the EGEM ecosystem in general. These activities take EGEM into its own direction and hopefully provide a new block chain open source base for thee communities to learn from and explore further enhancements to the crypto community down the road.

tldr: I don't think its shilling as much as you are following someone related to the great EGEM project on twitter :-D

final: hope to see you there in our discord :-D
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Sapphire] [SFRX] [POW] [DEX] A 51pct protective sidechain on: November 06, 2018, 12:13:40 PM
Is it also possible to run a masternode? if yes how many coins do we need to have?

There is a node structure for SFRX that extends the EGEM quarrynode system. We always advertised since launch that SFRX would be part of EGEM and also mentioned that anyone who held the basic quarrynode on EGEM at the snapshot would get enough SFRX for a basic Sapphire node.

Tier one quarrynodes are 10k EGEM and tier one Sapphire Nodes are 20k SFRX (which you get in the airdrop). You have to run the EGEM node to run the Sapphire node but they do not need to be on the same box.

The ecosystem is designed so that both sets of nodes reward the other nodes plus each other (EGEM and SFRX) in the DEX listing trading and even in the Mining processes, and the tiered system is designed to reward bagholders with a separate pool of funds that supports network integrity.

More details will be released on this program shortly and I think someone else was nice enough to reply with the EGEM quarrynode system specifics.

Any pools supporting sapphire ?

Yes; a list will be provided. Currently announcing the snapshot.

Pow?

Yes, EGEM Sapphire is independently mined (dual if you prefer) on a subchain to EGEM

EGEM Sapphire is an integrated substructure containing a decentralized exchange and enhancing other technologies on EtherGem's main chain. EGEM holders will be airdropped 2 SFRX for each 1 EGEM recorded in their wallets at EGEM snapshot block 1530000. SFRX will use the same EtherGem wallet for coins making balances seamless between the two EtherGem chains. SFRX is POW and will be independently or dual mined (complimentary) with EGEM.

27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (XBI) Bitcoin Incognito | POS | Masternodes | Privacy Coin on: September 23, 2018, 10:22:40 PM
Im suspicious

#xbi is a pump and dump by devs, they have 90% of masternodes, getting 90% if minted coins using premine coins, get out whilst still in profit  http://explorer.bitcoinincognito.org/address/BBsmMxfHqP59Zd4WnL3UWnbC1FxkEQxE4o
You wouldn't know quality if it hit you in the face. Do you drink O'Douls lager and live in a trailer park somewhere near the Lower Peninsula, Detroit

There is a huge difference between the old BTCI and the new community drive XBI Project with loads of exchanges added, new roadmap and tens of thousands of followers and a rising value.

XBI is gaining traction in crypto with a good base community and solid support. The existing admin and dev team had to take back over from an unfortunate situation. It is a very good earning coin, has vision for some new areas of crypto to explore, and an open admin community. Like I said previously, they are on voice chat in the discord on Fridays doing AMAs and working with the user base. Dev team and community is here to stay.

Also in the top 3 volume leaders on graviex the other day... I noticed because I am on dev team for 2 of the top 3.

Everyday you can see EGEM on top 3 on minerpool.net profit's list!  Wink
And on top 3 volume on graviex...  Grin

and EGEM was number 1 on kastle.pro for votes yesterday which according to the rules means EGEM won

Uhhhhhhhh OSOESE here.

I don't think I am even on the telegram stating anything right now for XBI. At any rate, yeah the coins will eventually be "burned" that you are talking about but the team does not have access to those coins. Step one was to recover the peer client and nodes from the exit scam devs and recover all the exchanges. This was because there were a lot of XBI holders who were stuck with what they thought was a great coin. Myself included. I was asked by the new XBI team to help fix the client and recover these assets and that part went very well. Further steps are discussed in the discord channel and I encourage you to participate in those discussions. The team even did a voice AMA on Friday with a soak party to answer and hash out all questions from users. That is not so much anonymous as you accuse. In fact it does not take that long to find me and others on linkedin with a little bit of a look.

I understand from the comments you were banned. I did not do this to you and have no need. You can ask anyone on here that knows me - I am like the last person to ban or kick someone - even a FUD monster - from a discord. I encourage you to talk your game. Because in the end, I will come back at you with legitimate answers to what your "concerns" may be.

No time for FUD. Have a nice day.

30  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: September 04, 2018, 09:56:37 PM
Its not a legit platform. Volume is fake.

So that is it - fake exchange - never cold prove to be legit and they scammed a lot of coins out of their listing fee. What can be done about it?
31  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: August 30, 2018, 11:12:29 AM
So is there anyone with a successful KYC approval? Or is it really a scam so nobody gets accepted.
Mostly are only partially verified, i havent seen one with full approval. For partially verified accounts, like mine, you can trade for some specific coins, you need to be fully verified to trade for fiat and other coins. Per bitebtc, full verification may happen 10 to 14 days post August 22. So we might, see fully verified accounts post september 6 or so.

Again, i am just basing my answer based from my personal account and reply i am getting from dev. Disclaimer : as you backread through the thread you can also view others experiences: we have some skeptics and some hopefuls on this group. A good mix i would say, at the end of the day, its still your decision on how you weigh the views and opinions of each member here.
Thanks for clarifying things. So you can trade some coins with partially verified accounts, but not the one I am interested in. I think I just have to wait for next week.

same with me. my preferred pair has same issues.

do you think we can get verified by next week?

Guys, it makes no sense to ask "will we get verified by next week".

BiteBTC is a scam! It always was. It always will remain a blatant SCAM!

Deal with it.

I wonder what OP of thread has to say about it.

Infact their ANN thread has also been locked on BTT here.

I have not been able to trade or deposit yet. I have an email thread to share so far which was written several days ago and EGEM is not on the list of coins to deposit so I am unable to test it at this time. I have no desire to deposit BTC or ETH only EGEM which i what we paid to list and was the reason for this post.

Dear [osoese],

Thank you for your request!
I passed all the instructions to our development department and got a response that the necessary tasks on updating your wallet will be completed in time.

Thank you for being a part of BiteBTC community!

33  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: August 24, 2018, 04:47:24 PM
I tried depositing and withdrawing, but unable to trade. Says i need full verification to trade which will take 10 - 14 days. Waiting game again

Hey osoese, i would like to send you a personal message
Can you update your setting to allow newbie to send you a pm. I would like to send you a pm first before i flood this thread

updated - will be AFK for a bit
34  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: August 24, 2018, 04:45:46 PM
Updated main thread to reflect I could log in and see all the wallets. If they enable EGEM and I can make a deposit and trade will apologize like promised. I see reports above of the wallets not working so if that ends up being the case will update with that info also.
Hey on previous threads you mentioned they listed EGEM and you saw there were trades happening, but not from your community.

Did they unlist your coin? On the previous trades that happened, was it reflecting on your explorer?

Hi, yes - one of the other EGEM devs asked them to remove the coin when he could not find proof of them having an exchange wallet matching the trades. Since they approved our accounts I asked them to relist us so that we can verify if legit or not. I noticed that the wallets for globycoin said under maintenance or something. Still waiting to verify before updating threads.

I was able to log in to my account on BiteBTC and see some new screens....so posting this on the front page of this thread

UPDATE!!! Was able to log into MY account - still not verified - and does not explain the fake volume - BUT if BiteBTC turns out to be legit in the end will honor my promise to apologize publicly - AGAIN my account is still unverified - what about YOU?

Please post some proof if you get verified and do a legitimate trade

Keep in mind there is still the fake coin listing that needs to be explained also....

Honestly, I don't know why you're laughing. I also read the news exchange, today's the day of judgment:)

I waited so long for the moment when the KYC procedure will be canceled, but today it did not happen, maybe tomorrow?

News is still no, we will wait, maybe tomorrow something will be announced? I have accumulated a lot of coins that I would like to sell on this exchange.

You won't be able to because it's fake. No one is going to get approved.
39  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: August 22, 2018, 12:53:36 PM
Hmm I've first heard of this exchange because of the airdrop I participated in (privcy) but I didn't join bc you have to do KYC and didn't really want to do that with an exchange I never heard of. But I'm pretty sure Privcy team didn't have a hard time getting on the exchange and wasn't scammed but I will bring this thread to their attention.
LOL wut? Not a single user in the privcy discord has been approved there either, i'm reading up on this thread and it's blatantly obvious the guys saying they're able to trade there are in on the scam, all jr accounts saying the same thing over and over, no matter how many times you repeat a lie, it won't make it true, it remains a lie. (btw i'm not saying your in on it but if you are active in priv discord you'd know nobody there has been approved either)

I will add your coin and the link to this post on the main page of coins that got scammed. Thanks.
40  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: August 22, 2018, 12:52:28 PM
Look at it! The team is looking for a cheap listing, 0.1 BTC. None of the top exchanges will even take 10 btc let alone 1btc. Funds for listing at least on regular should be considered while preparing for a project. This should also not be the reason or excuse why the token should not get listed if the project is a good one. The project wanted to be scammed, I don't have account with such exchanges and wont.

If you were talking about that other guy asking to list his coin after our reports - then yeah - he looks like he wants to be scammed.

But just in case you are talking about EGEM - the coin that started this post, as for us...

...no one wanted to be scammed. There are multiple legitimate exchanges that charge 0.1 BTC and the coins actually get listed and people can trade. BitBTC faked the volume and exchange traffic behind a KYC process that is fake and took all the new coins money.

We are just trying to get the word out so others can not lose their 0.1BTC - but more importantly so the coin users don't put their ids on the fake KYC process and fall victim to identity theft.
