101  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinmarket.io Scam Warning on: March 04, 2014, 07:49:16 PM
I have funds on coinmarket.io too. Their website is currently down, supposedly a maintenance.

I hope we didn't get goxxed!

Too late.  This kid has been online a few times since his last post but said nothing.  No responses to PM's, no responses on the thread, garbage tweet updates every few days.  Our coins are gone.

If somebody does find out their location, then they are in big trouble.

The fact they haven't even posted a concise update of what's happened and whether everyone's coins are safe tells me that its over, coins are lost and they dont know what to do about it.  At least other exchanges have the balls to post what's happened and put a plan in place.  This kid has just gone offline.  Well god help them if people do find out their name and location.  There are some nutcases in this world, and you dont know who this kid may have pissed off by just going offline with their coins.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 04, 2014, 07:39:49 PM
People that are posting the WHOIS info.  How f..kin dumb are you?  Are you begging the owners of coinmarket to get pissed and do something unnecessary?  You dumb shits are putting all our money at risk by posting things like that online.

Do you think you are smart and the only person who can do that?  What do you gain by posting that?  Morons.

+1 coinmarket might not be great at PR but that is no reason to put them at serious risk of harm because of a wobbly lip

Why not?  All they need to do is post up some honest answers and start dealing with peoples problems.  Until then they are the thief, and they deserve to be treated like one.

If they aren't bothered about updating hundreds of people on the status of possibly tens of thousands of dollars worth of coins, then why should anyone be bothered if they are paid a visit by somebody who is upset?
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 04, 2014, 06:38:35 PM
@C3ALL

I read your posts here. You said that you did'nt get any confirmation on your email, maybe you miss typed your email addr

Have made many withdrawals using this exchange previously.  All worked fine.  Ever since the up/down/up started no confirmation emails.

So they are stuck.   Coins are supposed to return to the wallet if not confirmed within a certain number of hours.  That didn't happen either.

This exchange has lost our coins and has not got the balls to admit what's happened.  Regardless what some fan boys of this exchange may think.  They are just trying to convince themselves its not true.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 04, 2014, 06:22:12 PM
Ahh crap.  I think I sent coins to an exchange wallet address belonging to Coinmarket (mislabeled by myself unfortunately) last night.  And looking at the current support issues, well, this isn't looking promising.

you are listening to about 2% of the users, who are probably quite young and immature, flipping the fuck out in this thread. At least 2 of the people flipping out in this thread, never even attempted to get support before flipping out in this thread.

Most of us have had no problems withdrawing under this upgrade.

nothing at all about this is like mtgox, people who say it are completely retarded.

I HAVE WITHDRAWN COINS.

I have sent coins and then withdrew them later.

They havetn communicated a lot.
they havent communicated ENOUGH.
But they havent "OMG THEY DISAPPEARED OF THE FACE OF THE EARTH, ZERO UPDATES.. I KEEP PM'n THEM EVEN THOUGH TECH SUPPORT SAYS USE THE THREAD"

But there are some little whiny ass bastards in this thread.

there are a couple people with legitimate problems and grievances who have tried to get help and havent really gotten the help they need yet but a majority of the flipping out "OMG THIS IS MTGOX II" people.. seem to just be trolls trying to spread FUD.

I get being upset. I dotn get being a stupid douche that doesnt read through a thread when upset his money is locked up. I dont get flipping the fuck out over the devs when you havent even requested once.. for help.. not even once. and yall are fucking it up for people who actually need help.

once again, not really happy with the communication and how coinmarket handled this upgrade.  THEY HAVE DONE SOME WRONGS.

but 90% of the freak out in this thead is pure bullshit.

Bullshit.

I've requested help via pm several times, email and on this thread.  Not a frigging word from coinmarket and I can see they have logged on.

As for immature, you really are barking up the wrong tree.  I dont like having money stolen from me, regardless of how much it is.  1btc or 100btc doesn't bother me, its theft pure and simple.

Just like a previous poster you are pulling this percentage of users affected figure out of your arse.  Please show me some evidence that only 2% of users are affected.  You can't.  So if you are happy with this exchange then fine, good for you.

In fact I'll make you the same offer as any other deluded fan boy of this exchange.  You can buy my account off me for 1btc.   It has just over 1btc in there plus about 6m leaf.  I'll even throw in a couple more million leaf from my wallet.

So, if you (or anyone else) seriously has faith in this exchange, put your money where your mouth is and risk buying my account for just 1btc.  You stand to make an instant 50%+ when this exchange is up and running again if you honestly believe it will be.

If you aren't prepared to do that, then you haven't got any faith in coinmarket either, in which case you have just posted a great deal of baseless bullshit.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 04, 2014, 06:14:16 PM
i still do not believe that they are hacked.

In that case, I've got some magic beans you can buy if you like.  1btc for five.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 04, 2014, 03:47:57 PM

Hey idiot do you work for another exchange?  They just posted last night saying they are applying a patch and will put up a poll regarding whether we want all the orders to be reset before they reopen.  So f..kin learn how to read and stop your f..kin whining all over the board.

Are you for real?

They posted a made up name of some patch to keep people thinking they are actually doing something.   Look at the post linked to previously by another exchange that got hacked.  Thats professional communication.   The communication from coinmarlet.io is a complete and utter joke.

So get a clue, learn how to interpret behaviour.   You think the behaviour and communication we have seen from coinmarket demonstrates that they are even serious about getting everyones coins back and the exchange running?

Right now with the huge amount of down time and complete lack of communication, what do you think will happen if and when they open up again?

Do you think people will just start trading there again, or do you think everyone will be rushing to get their coins out before the next time it goes down.

What are people doing now when the site comes back up for 5-10 minutes?  Trading?   No.  They are withdrawing coins as fast as they can.

Not a single complaint about not being able to trade, or the buy they placed didnt go through...  every single complaint is about getting coins out.

If you think this exchange has any future at all after this, then feel free to buy my account off me.  Just over 1BTC and about 6m or so leaf.  Ill give you the password for 1 BTC.

You want to prove your faith in this exchange, buy my 1.3BTC account for 1BTC.   If you aren't prepared to do that, then don't bother telling me to shut up when an exchange has stolen about $800 off me.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 04, 2014, 01:52:09 PM
Hey devs, could you please help me with my withdrawal? I tried to withdraw 0.99642421 BTC to 1LBB5eUZRXUutHAMCfiUoupaFamTN8KUyP. Got confirmation email, clicked on it. Did not get a transaction number. The coins are no longer in my coinmarket.io wallet, but haven't arrived in my wallet. It's been since March 1st. Please help! Username is LifterPuller. Thanks!

Join the queue Im afraid.  I requested a withdrawl of just over 1BTC on Feb 25th, no confirmation email arrived, same for 1m Leaf.  No response from the devs by PM, no response on here and nonsense updates on twitter.

It looks like this exchange has been hacked too, but instead of coming clean and doing something about it (like in the link above), coinmarket.io is doing nothing, posting no updates and has all but disappeared.

Sorry, but it looks like your coins, just like mine, are now lost forever.

There has already been at least one person admit to stealing coins from this exchange on this thread, so there will be lots more out there for sure.   This exchange does not have the coins available for everyone to withdraw.  Thats why they are keeping quiet.  They have no answer to this problem and simply dare not admit it.  If somebody finds out who they are and where they live, then I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.   They could at least take the target off their back by admitting what has happened, but they are that dumb and disrespectful to people who used their exchange in good faith that they don't even do that.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 04, 2014, 01:38:36 PM
Of course, the nospendzeroconfchange patch.

Mysterious. Still better than no updates at all, but worse than milion other possible updates.

On the other news, that's how other exchange addresses and handles a serious issue:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499580.msg5499870#msg5499870

Something to compare.

That is an excellent example of communicating.  It appears that coinmarket have no intention what so ever of doing something like this.

I couls live with a nominal percentage reduction if indeed it is the error.

Perhaps the thief that posted about withdrawing double BTC in this thread would be kind enough to give it back to coinmarket if something like this can be done here too?

Its starting to smell a lot like coinmarket has been hacked too, but rather than try and fix this open and honestly, they post about bullsh*t patches and trading opening times etc etc....

That other exchange now has people trying to find the thief and taking it out on them, while still having respect for the exchange because they came clean.

Coinmarket just has people angry with them because they are saying nothing at all.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 04, 2014, 12:19:15 PM
The fact that they haven't even posted to this thread in days to even assure people that they are still even trying to get things fixed, is enough evidence that the coins are all but lost imho.  No response to PM's, no posts on their own thread here - its pretty obvious that they do not even care about the lost money and coins.  They havent even made a single comment here since failing to deliver on just about everything in their last update.

My guess is they have just walked away from it and couldn't care less.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 04, 2014, 09:03:12 AM
How exactly am I making it worse.  There has been no update from them on here in days, even though they have logged on.  They have not responded to PM's.  They have provided no updates via twitter, and no further information what so ever.

Sitting here just waiting for a magic fix when they are providing zero response and update is hardly going to get peoples coins back.

Would you reccomend people start using this exchange?

Its not FUD to tell people to avoid this exchange because people have lost coins, because it is true.

I actually think they are doing the right thing by having it go down when they find a bug. I'd rather that than they run a half baked platform ala gox. Waiting is exactly what you should do. Whining doesn't make them fix bugs faster,  and they clearly don't have the man power to do that and handle ignoramuses like you.

Just shut your cake hole and be patient.

How exactly is being annoyed at the loss of $800 being an ignoramus?

Its not that the site is down, its the fact that when it was up I withdrew coins and received no confirmation email and no tx id. So the coins are no longer in my wallet on coin market and they are also not in my personal wallet.

They then ignore pm's and give zero update on this issue.

We have already seen an example of people taking double coins out of the exchange, which means there is not enough btc at the exchange to give everyone their money back.  If you want to sit and be quiet at the back of the queue then that's fine.  You will be the one that they say "sorry no coins left" to.

I'd like to be at the front kicking up a fuss so I get my coins back before they admit there is not enough to go round.

I just want my existing withdrawals confirmed.  If its too much to ask for a response to three PM's, then it says a lot about the quality of the person running this exchange.

Relax, the only people who are complaining are the ones who had their withdrawals and they got stuck exactly at the same time the site was going offline.  Less than 1% of the people.  Almost everyone was able to withdraw their money.  The only ones complaining are the less than 1%.  Rightfully so, because it has been an extended time.

But. this is nothing like GOX,, so stop spreading FUD.  This is only effecting less than 1% of the users that had their withdrawals stuck.  Mine is stuck too. so m not happy, but lets stop trying to compare with GOX.

And yea, an update would be helpful. Like, the fixing the withdrawals are taking longer than expected.

Where are you getting this 1% figure from?  There is no evidence what so ever to suggest only 1% are affected.   I'm out about $800 worth of coins and have had no update and no response to my PM's even though I know they have been on here, so i'll spread as much fud about this exchange as I want.   I'll also do my best to get the personal details of the person who is behind the exchange and post them here.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 03, 2014, 10:39:12 PM
So they have allowed people to remove double btc deposits.  Great.  That means they are bankrupt and don't want to admit it.

By the way if you want to send me 1 btc out of those 3 free ones you got so I can at least get my honest coins back that would be nice Smiley

Seems people have just stolen double coins and destroyed the exchange for everyone else.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 03, 2014, 10:02:47 PM
They are using a mail server other than cloud flare.  Mail server appears to be based in Oslo.  Will ask them for details of this individual too.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 03, 2014, 09:15:55 PM
Will get a solicitors letter sent to cloudfare and request the personal details of the person who registered the site and purchased the server.

Once I have thier name and address I shall post it here.  I've had no response to my PM's and am down about $7-800 worth of coins now.

If there is no statement and response to my messages and return of my coins I shall resolve this another way.  Either they start making statements or their personal details will be published for all these angry people to do what they want with.

Good luck, but I would assume at the outset that I'd need a full-fledged court order to dox them that way.

They will have to give details of the owner of the site to a legal entity which would be a solicitor.  If they failed to do so, then the legal action would be taken against them as effectively allowing the activity to take place.  Having gone through the process before, the hosts will give up the details for certain.  They can't be bothered with the hassle and just let the person responsible for the server deal with their own mess.

So. No updates. No responses to PM's. No validation emails for withdrawals.

That's 1btc and about 6m leaf that I've lost thanks to this exchange.

What a fucking joke.  How hard is it to give a short update each day.

Negative feedback now left as I see their account has been active here today, yet still not the courtesy to respond to my PM's.

Thief!
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 01, 2014, 08:57:20 PM
No update for two days and still stuck withdrawals.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 01, 2014, 04:42:33 PM

MTgox cant withdrawl.

coinmarket can withdraw.
........

No robbery.

no missing coins.

and did i mention I CAN WITHDRAW.

Hey I am anxious, and annoyed and would like to trade as much as the next guy, but some of yall are too retarded for words.

Well good for you.  I have received no confirmation emails for any of my withdrawals, so I cannot withdraw from this exchange.  There are lots of other people having the same issue.   Some people cannot withdraw and some people can.

For those who cannot withdraw, this is exactly like MT Gox. No responses to PM's and no response on here for those who are not getting confirmation emails.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 01, 2014, 04:39:16 PM
No confirmation emails received for withdrawals.  Not in spam folder, inbox etc. They just have not been received.  Never had a problem a few weeks ago, but now no emails received so withdrawals stuck in pending for 3 days now.
