101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MNT] MountCoin Help on: May 29, 2014, 07:58:03 AM
I don't understand the whining or the talk of orphans. I have been mining since it was released (had some issues syncing but someone in IRC helped me) and I've gotten some coins.

It's pretty clear that one pool has a ton of hash power at it, and the other pool has essentially none.

Solo mining is effective. Why do people expect pool mining to work perfectly on launch of a coin when the difficulty is tiny? Not to mention a coin that is NOT a fork of Bitcoin. Stop being lazy and solo mine - it's better for the network anyway.

Now, let's move onto something productive. Time to start promoting the innovations of this new protocol. We will soon be on at least one exchange.

FYI: Those power meters are rated for 1800w max. Be careful.

Edit: I was mistaken. UK version of that power meter goes up to 3120watts.

I purchased 2 50 chip Avalon3 modules a week ago. They arrived quickly (shipped next day via DHL) and are working well. They do generate a lot of heat and noise however so be aware of this if your planning to mine with them at home.

Have an Avalon 800GH Miner I want to sell.  Made by lktec.com.  Unfortunately in AZ its quickly getting hot and I need to move some equipment.  It runs at 740GH for me because I had to slightly under-clock it because of cooling problems at my mining location.

Will include ground shipping in the US.

Prefer bitcoin $1600.  Would accept paypal $1675

Some pics? I'd like to see the inside. Curious if the modules are same design as Avalon OEM.

Hey guys, I was thinking about running a promo and wanted to see what you guys think.

So we would draw a random order number, and whoever the order number belongs to, would get a free Fury. I was thinking it would be cool to do one a day until our launch.

Thoughts?

I would group the "entires" by money spent or some other factor then just order #. Could be unfair if i order 100 Gridseeds on one order vs 100 orders of One Gridseed ea. Just something to consider.
110  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 110 Asus R9 290's ($270 each) on: May 12, 2014, 04:13:53 AM
Do any of these have aftermarket coolers? Or are they all blower cards?

Do you accept escrow? Or have any other proof of successful shipments to customers?

I'd like to order a few Avalon3 modules.

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CURE] Protein Folding EC2 Setup Guide: 300k PPD per Server! on: May 11, 2014, 11:43:25 PM
this is pointless now, it could damage the whole folding operation, i thought the point was to submit more WU?

With this as people compete for EC2 instances, they'll keep killing each others... and no one will profit. I'd advise everyone to not use this as it could do more harm than good.

This can be avoided by not using spot, and using regular instances. Prices are higher but risk of instance being killed goes away. Either way, this will likely not be profitable in any form.
114  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAW Miners- THE WAR MACHINE 54MH Miner!! on: May 11, 2014, 07:43:33 PM
a bit confused 1 gridseed = 333 so 3 are 999 or 1 mh   correct?

1 fury = 1 mh correct?

power is close to the same correct?

so buying 3 gridseeds at 60 each if you are a member and have room is as good as buying 1 fury at 199

or is my math off?

I ask since I decided to get 8 more gridseed's my gridseed's run at freq 850 and pull 9 watts.

So at the fury level It looks like my gridseed buy coming on monday was better for me.

Am I correct or do I have a math issue?

You are correct. Pricing of all 2nd gen Scrypt ASICs is just too high at the moment. GAW, Inno, Hashra, Zeus, etc. All about 25-50% more expensive then they really should be IMO. With that said, GAW is competitively priced with the others.

Price has been reduced to $999

Accept trusted escrow and I'll buy 2 right now. PM me.

They are our miners, so we are very polarized to support them. We offer a one year warranty, along with other features in the future Smiley

I do not have any additional technical information to share at this time.

We will release more information in the future. I understand if that does not work for some. So we either may not be the right company for them, or they would need to wait until we come out with more specs Smiley

Josh,

I, like everyone else, appreciate the way you are running your business. I just placed another order (probably my 15th by now) for some more gear. Since day 1 you have been answering the phone, making things right, and standing by your word. Much respect for that. I look forward to what you and Gridseed come up with to make the price drops a little easier on all of us.

Do you not want to sell any of your gridseeds?  I have tried PMing you twice also with questions regarding an order i want to place.

Seems the forum isn't emailing me when I get a new PM. Sorry about that. Reply sent.
