Thank you Lolliedieb for your efforts! My long dormant 5x580 8gb rig is humming away at ~115 hashes on BTCZ!
 hoo hooo….
Not to be too picky picky here now, but howzabout some colorful stats on the miner? Just sayin' the white font on black gets a little stale after a bit but my daughter insists there is a puce hue to the vertical separators? Could that be true?
Anyhow, thanks for what you are doing and I am praying an even higher hash rate soon as these ~115 hashes are costing me near 1100 watts at the wall.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.4 on: July 30, 2018, 03:30:47 AM
Good day everyone! I am considering mining Monero with SRB and am wondering how many coins to expect hashing 10k?
10x580 8gb and one Vega56. Looking for pool suggestions, also.

Thank you for responding!

You can always check mining calculators to estimate the amount of coins you can expect to mine. Take a look at whottomine, cryptunit, or nicehash profitability calculator. There isn't much to it and you just need to input your GPUs/hashrate.

For pools, it will depend on the coin you want to mine.
Thank you all for your comments. I was hoping to hear some personal opinions based on experience if anyone cares to share. Thank you again,.

"And now for something completely different!" I have 10 AMD cards sitting idle since the algo change and am considering mining Monero (XMR) as it seems to prefer AMD cards above all others. Any suggestions or preferences regarding miners (SG, SRB, Stak, Cast, Claymore) and or pools? I have been doing some studying. Looking for experienced suggestions if at all possible. Thank you and God bless you for responding.

Good answer! I'm on it!

How is a manager going to effectively motivate a group of developers and engineers that are doing work for free most of the time?
Sounds like you really just want a single person to be the FACE(Steve Jobs type) of BitcoinZ for marketing purposes which seems wrong for a coin that has privacy built into it and against my idea of decentralization. I voted NO for your tweet when I came across the link on here.
Can you come up with an idea that is not centralized and controlling like the one you are proposing.

At first - thank you for pointing the discussion to the proposal. I would like you to go a bit deeper in the scheme frame I am proposing.

The person representing the community should be elected for term cadency(2years?), and by voting amongst people that decided to propose their way for the coin to the community. This is our job to make this position as much requiring as it would give self-realizing for the person willing to take up this challenge. As for me - this is not a job to do after hours. Several thousands members of the community need more time. This is serious task and should come with a potential reward.  I really am convinced there is no free work. But there is a potential here for the community to accept or not every agreement.

Also please stay realistic. We are not that revolutionary as Apple nor Litecoin. There is no place in here for a remarkable icon as Steve Jobs. There is a place for a person that would bring up all the pieces together and represent the community to the outside world. We already had issues about big investor who was willing to help us but never sat to the table because none of devs was officially representing the coin.
At last - the voting should decide whose vision is to be implemented.

Analysing my proposition you should see that in fact I am against any form of dictatorship and ruling of just one person. The above system is about to give the community the foundations of an advanced form of Network Democracy where the people have control over who represents them and who leads and schedules the main processes.

After watching your posts over the past few days I for one could Not possibly accept anything you would suggest. I won't describe my reactions to what you have posted any further than that and I will not respond further to anything you might have say.

Have a great sunday.

This is "forecaster" claptrap doublespeak of the lowest order. Why even bother posting it? Of course this "forecast" could be accurate. Could this coin go the opposite way to .01 or .02 USD or greater in the same time frame? Absolutely. Or, maybe BTCZ will just dither and do nothing for the next year and all the traders will whine and cry. How dopey to trust in ANY crypto "forecaster" especially one that states because there is little investment in said coin now it would be a bad idea to do it going forward. Huh? I would consider the source of this drivel and so will anyone else who concerns themselves about the long term viability of BTCZ or any other project they are interested in.

Anyhow, Windows 10 Defender has tagged EWBF v.2 as a trojan virus and I can't seem to overcome it? "Exclusion" hasn't worked. Anyone have a clue or been through it already?

Thanks

What I do is turn off the antivirus for 5 mikutes (can't do it longer i think) then copy the miner file to mining directory and exclude it from antivirus. Works fine for me.
Thanks to all who offered assistance and God bless you!
The answer was to exclude the specific file >miner.exe< in Win Defender and it now runs perfectly.

Thank you all, again
And you all can now return to your regularly scheduled programming....

Exclude a file don't work : you have to exclude a specific directory and directly download EWBF in this directory.
Or using Linux :-).
Just a dumb miner here with very little tech or computer knowledge. Don't know how to "exclude a specific directory and directly download EWBF into this directory"
Thank you for offering instruction

I think I understand what you are saying to do but don't know how to create a "directory" to dl EWBF into.

try this:
https[Suspicious link removed]N&mkt=en-us&httpsmsn=1&refig=188e73b16860488b9d75563c6b3040b0&sp=1&qs=RI&pq=how+to+exclude+folder+defender&sc=4-30&cvid=188e73b16860488b9d75563c6b3040b0

just point to folder EWBF or where EWBF is
Thank you Azz but I did this and it's not sufficient. I'm gonna need some reds real soon as I am getting edgy from not mining for the past several days, not to mention the frustration. Smiley

wish people would stick to the subject here instead of going on and on about how they hate their lives and their drugs etc etc ad nauseum.... probably some plant from BTCP or Zerocoin trying to disrupt BTCZ with inanity.

Good news on EXMO. I see that the oft maligned Coinbene is now the number 1 exchange? I wonder why so many were trashing it a month back? Too bad we couldn't go there, seems to me.

Also it has no future. You forgot to mention the most critical point. Please don't be so one sided.
no future, are you serious, Mindin?
what are you talking about?
Current, there are several exchanges to sell and buy Bitcoin Z.

So what, 100's of shitcoins with no future is traded on several exchanges, When the dust settles only the biggest and the strongest will be left standing. I don't see BTCZ in that category.

BTCz is in the 600s range.
What you don't understand is that if BTCz gets in the top 100 I can retire. Not that I would even sell then anyway.
If it hits the top 50 I can buy 5 lambos.I will still HODL even then.
If it hits top 3 I may be as rich as Vitalik. I will buy everyone on this thread a used lambo.
I dont need it to be the top

good answer, brooklynite1...For a little more perspective, when this coin gets to .02 USD it is worh 1PHP (Philippine Peso) Someone living in the Phils on 100k PHP a year can get a nice spot on a white sand beach for a very long time. The average middle income in the Phils is 30-50k PHP each year. Other places around the world are fine places to spend some time with a very low cost of living. BTCZ at 1 USD would make me a wealthy man but I don't need it to get anywhere near that high. Any coin tradeable to BTC has value. These whiners are really wieners looking for a quick buck; the bane of crypto. This BitcoinZ is an excellent project and the commitment of the volunteers is impressive and easy to see for those who understand value as opposed to price.

Yeah I'd support a 1-2% developer donation fee. Since I have 3 mining computers that would be 3-6%.
That's the most hillarious calculation I have ever seen. Cheesy

On a serious note: I just took a look at the vieo with the explanations. One thing that caught my eye was the 2.5 GB mem requirement. Does that mean that I cannot mine BTCZ on windows with my 1060 3GB card anymore?

Seems basic math isn't the strong suit of either of these posters! Sorry guys...

A 1-2% development fee would be a 1-2% dev fee no matter how many miners you have and as last I checked 2.5gb is still smaller than 3gb so your  3gb 1060 should function just fine, eh?
Well, it's not that simple actually (that's why I wrote "on windows"). Windows takes up several hundered MB of GPU RAM (at least on the GPU where the screens are connected to). So my question was, how "hard" the limit of 2.5 GB is and how it is reflected in GPU RAM consumption.

Or in other words: The ETH DAG is at approx. 2.4 GB right now, but ETH is definitely not minable on 3GB cards on Windows anymore (in contrast to Linux and of course headless systems).

I hope I expressed this clearer now. Wink

I'm hoping it works well for you cuz I'd hate to see you or anyone else have to move on because of the changes. The more the merrier, right? Keep us posted will you?

They say there is no "dev fee" on the new Zhash miner. Very kind of them, but it seems to me that a 1% fee to cover some expenses such as exchange fees, development costs and publicity might be an easy way to raise some cash? Most of us are already paying some kind of developers fee on the miner we are using. "Our guys" developed this algo and the coming miner didn't they, so it's only fair that they and the community reap some benefit when other coins start to use it, also. Mining and keeping open wallets and stabilizing the network for the benefit of all would also then raise money for the community and bounties for developers. Who knows who might take an interest in this coin with some greater bounties? Just my thinking out loud here as I haven't seen any discussion anywhere of the possibilities opening up with the creation of this one-off miner. Surely someone will want to upgrade the miner soon and they might as well be paid to get after it ASAP as it would benefit all of us, eh? Not to mention exchange fees and publicity funds that could be raised. Anyone?

The introduction of 1% developer fee / community supporting fee might be a good idea, I would support that.
But what about the "No-Dev Tax" & "All contributors are volunteers" fundamentals? Doesn't it go against these?

--------------------------
BitcoinZ: In Decentralization we Trust

If devs developed a miner, it can be 0% default, but also an option to choose % manually. I would mine at 1-2% for sure. most equihash miners mine at 2% now.
I'm sorry. I forgot/wasn't aware such a dev fee on the new Zhash miner would violate white paper policy. A voluntary fee is one answer if necessary, but I have a feeling that other coins/communities might well use the new miner when they adopt the Zhash algo also and "our guys" and this community should reap the rewards of a dev fee from those outside of BTCZ. We all know that reinvesting in our business is the only way to grow and sustain it and it seems here is an opportunity to create some much needed cash for exchange/publicity purposes.

Hello BTCZ Community!

Remember the https://btcz.news logo bounty?
It can be seen here: https://info.btcz.rocks/
And more detailed here: https://forum.btcz.rocks/t/btcz-news-logo-bounty/335

It has been a while since it was announced and people think that this bounty was forgiven, but NO!
We have a winner and the news hub will be up in the following weeks.

I picked one winner for the 5000 BTCZ bounty, but I decided to award other 4 members that got in with awesome work.
#5

#4

#3

#2

And the winner #1:

Thanks you all for being a part of BitcoinZ. In decentralization we trust!

Congrats on all the winners! But, now all the turds like me that didn't put a logo together get to input our 2 cents, eh? Smiley  I'm thinking number 2 was the better. The "Z" needs to be bigger than "bitcoin", just my thoughts in case the decision hasn't been chiseled into stone just yet.

No idea what that means.

Did some exploring and stumbled across "Zcoin" and read through some of their tech and they seem to have an answer in MTP... "Merkle Tree Proofs" as a memory intensive answer to ASICs. I know that increasing memory requirements has been discussed around here but so long with no updates dunno the devs have an answer yet?? I understand why some are getting impatient but that is how they are weeded out I suppose.
