^ Not really sure what that means, I don't know anything about ypool so whoever is online will mean nothing to me. Anyway, i was interested enough to scour through your source code as well as try to mine, I'm not here to tear your project down. I guess you can take my 2 cents however you wish, I'll keep watching.

There was a branch mix up along the way so consider it 1 of two things 1) Clutter 2) A glimpse into the future either way..for now let's focus on what we have....what will be will come. There seems to be quite a lot of it, I'm just wondering if it's a good idea to be having everyone compile all this unused stuff especially with respect to trouble shooting. Have you had a chance to talk to ypool? They seem to have given up mining bitcredits for the time being because they can't seem to stabilize wallet. What is unused? What branch are you on? I encourage users to stick to master branch, all other branches are strictly for testers and developers at own risk. Jh00 has been offline more than a month now he's hard to reach. As for wallet instability that was fixed a very long time ago. I'm nearly always available on ypool chat. Master branch. Admin at ypool responded immediately to message within their website.

I am really not on-board with the whole buying the other coins github, locking it and bulldozing that small community. I don't think he who owns the github gets to decide whether a coin is alive or not. I'm also not onboard with entering into legal battles with people who were rightfully using the name Dash, and who have about a dozen VC firms backing them up. What's the deal? Things were going so well.

Is there a purpose to being a Darkcoin Foundation Member, is the board the only decision making entity? Since they are not elected and seem to be in very firm control of the future of the coin I would very much like to understand how the structure works, as well as the decision making. In my opinion Evan is the daddy so what he says sorta just goes to a certain extent. But there are a lot of invested parties and I would love some clarification as to how the decision making process works. What is the role of a darkcoin (or dash) foundation member?
We’re absolutely open to everyone’s input and always have been. We would like this process to be 100% transparent as possible. In the community supports it, I would support hiring a firm to handle the rebranding for us. We could allow the firm to engage directly and transparently with the community, then have foundation members vote on the final decision.Evan. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rebranding-followup.4266Awesome! So Foundation Members, not just the foundation board as I had mistaken?

One (possibly small) point, we are still seeing new articles that honestly believe we are still using the old-old darkcoin logo. If first we change name and then much later change logo, we will be seeing that "D" until the end of time. New brand, fresh start!

I have to admit, I wasnt 100% convinced on the name, like others were saying...I thought it was ok but we could do better. But afte messing about last night, its started to grow on me. Done in PS for quickness (no vector goodness) Morse code of the left, D -.. A .- S ... H .... I had a few others, but this was prob my fav. This is really really damn close to what I was imagining, thank you so much. I believe we should keep open minds and not chain our selves to the "D"... hehe .. Also, number one on this list is relevant!

Or maybe an dark panther could be more elegant
Yes apparently DASH is popular with the ladies and I believe they would like the panther

|
|
Since we are switching brands anyway, I think we should not pre-emptively chain ourselves to the old "D" design. Its awesome obviously, but the whole point is to go in a new more professional direction, and we might be able to scrounge up some really worthy logo designs! I'm not slamming the work above by any means, but we have quite an opportunity to consider some new looks.

Digitally secured cash unit DiSeC Units [pronounced "DySeck"] "Yo, my Steam account is dry, pass me some Disecs, bro!" Just messing around Not bad!

For logos ideas im thinking of something in blue that makes use of the "-" symbol more than the d

Looks like we still have 2330+ masternodes.

You people thinking it was solely Evan making the decision need to get a clue. I'm happy the uncertainty over whether or not a new merchant will be interested isn't immediately setup on a weak foundation because they automatically associate the word Dark negatively. It's the right move. In the fallout, we may have lost a few good people but now the doors open for more individuals.
Not having a clue is the problem... There needs to be more transparency. Nothing should be a "shock" like this, we expect more from a coin that is much more mature than all the crap out there. Evan has been mentioning something like "Working on a better narrative to better compete with btc and ripple" for a while now, I'm actually trying to find the posts now.
