101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The big VTC Vertcoin settings thread on: January 29, 2014, 08:38:54 PM
Asus Radeon HD 7790 2GB

cgminer --scrypt -o x -u x -p x -I 19 -g 2 -w 49 --thread-concurrency 4000 --shaders 896

I 12 = 87kH - No HW errors, lagless
I 14 = 125kH - Computer bit laggy but can be used for normal tasks, sometimes HW error
I 19 = 140kH - Computer unusable, hashrate peaks up to 150kH, sometimes HW error

- The GPU is set to "Gaming" settings in GPU tweak program from Asus (+20MHz, power target 110%).
- GPU drivers crashes when I start CGMiner at I 19, works normally if I start on lower and then increase to 19.
- While GPU and CPU mining at once, I had to set CGMiner's process priority to high and CPU miner to idle, otherwise drivers crashed after a while.

If anyone knows how to get rid of HW errors and prevent driver crashes, please let me know  Smiley

Is CGminer and GPU vertminer only 32bit? I noticed it now that vertminer is 32bit (or does it even matter in GPU mining?).

It doesn't matter in GPU mining.

Okay thanks  Grin

Guys I have a problem. I set up CGminer and the card was going nicely up to 100kH (the system was totally frozen but for mining it was fine), now when I start it again at same and even lower settings, it crashes drivers or mines super slow (10kH). My settings:

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.bitcrush.info:3444 -u x -p x -I 17 -g 1 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 4000

I had 96kH at I 17, now I have 10kH and GPU at 100%  Huh

Forgot to mention: Asus radeon HD 7790 2GB  Grin

EDIT: Fixed, no idea what happened, I restarted my PC and it works again, even at intensity 20

Is this site legit? I see no history of them on the forum via search...

It is new exchange, I traded qbits there and everything went well.

Psst, I made a begging thread and giving some VTC to first 50 adresses! It's a little bit late to announce but only to prevent people making multiple accounts and get more VTC  Smiley

Guys I would keep solo mining if you have a decent CPU. I'm still getting 1-3 blocks a day on both my rigs.

I have rougly 140kHash, is that enough to solo mine?

oh like this sort of info?
like where I got it say here?

http://vertcoin.org/downloads/CudaminerWin64.zip

so you can tell me I got the wrong one and I should not trust the one from the actual vertcoin official site, instead I have to go get some other miner that is not even associated with the developers? maybe you can direct me to one with a keylogger too while you are at it huh?

Yes, we can. Anyway, vert cudaminer didn't work on my GPU too so you're not the only one.

We need some more pools, i'll be happy to provide hosting and domain, if anybody knows how to setup stratum pool Smiley

We could always use some more hashes.

The Small Time Miner Qubit Pool
* http://q2c.smalltimeminer.com
* Pplns Payouts. Full Block Rewards Rewards Including Tx Fees, 1% Pool Fee.
* Stratum Only: stratum+tcp://q2c.smalltimeminer.com:3349

I use this pool and really like it. I only got one issue, I have a server that does most of my mining and it is a Xeon E31220. It does about 160 kh/s, but sometimes the dashboard say 0 kh/s or very low. Is it my server that is the issue? When I use my desktop aswell it seems a lot more stable.

Pool calculate hashrate from accepted shares in past 10 minutes. You may be just unlucky and not mine any share in 10 minutes, which can easily happen with your low hashrate (I have 140kH and it happens to me)

64-Bit Win Binaries of the new CUDAMiner available.  Vertcoin is now supported in the official git so this a stock build. Ensure you use the modifier
Code:
--algo=scrypt:2048

How can you tell which PC found the block? For me besides catching it roll by in real time I have no idea which PC struck gold. Thanx

It's written in the miner console, instead of accepted (yay!), there is BLOCK!
