101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can Titan x Do Whats In The Picture ? on: July 07, 2017, 04:41:03 AM
titan uses same chip as 1080ti, which answers your question.
Nicehash sometimes glitches in conversion calculation, i have screenshots of some such glitches, that show impossible $ amount per card. So screenshot can be legit, but speed/$ can be a glitch

mancave mining thread has lots of pictures, which will give you an ideas how to cool off your hardware/shack/garage
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7950 vs 280x equihash/ethhash on: June 28, 2017, 05:06:14 AM
79xx series are really good cards. Cost less but do same hash as many new ones, the only drawback is power consumption.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Virtual Memory Question on: June 28, 2017, 04:57:42 AM
well, on Win10 you can do this:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/77692-manage-virtual-memory-pagefile-windows-10-a.html
but having windows 10 installed...it probably taking at least half of your drive, if you will do updates and some additional software, you will add a good few gigs, then adding page file, you will max out your ssd, which will kill it pretty quickly. It is recommended to have ssd's filled to approximately 75% top. I read some folks recommend changing page file size to a total mount of vram of your cards.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible to make 3x 295X2 working in ONE Rig? on: June 28, 2017, 04:49:36 AM
back in 2014 i have tried 2 cards like that... those are REALLY HUNGRY MONSTERS indeed, 350W per card stable so 2 were taking 700-750 per 2 + mobo, cpu, ram, etc...i think it was like 850-900W at the wall... dam thing was sucking mu circuitry out...and i got SAUNA... so, being said that, my question is - how do you feed them ?
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT IS THE BEST WALLET TO MINE DIRECTLY TO please and thank you kindly on: June 28, 2017, 04:38:17 AM
Exodus just added DEC in their new version, so now they support 8 coins.

- yes, because you generate AND control your private key. I am not in to a coding that much, but you can find a lot of info their website, also their support is cool.
- you are right about open source or close source, but i see no problem, as majority of problems come from users, not the code.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Got a problem with my GPUs, help needed on: June 28, 2017, 04:20:33 AM
Uninstall devices (dont delete drivers) reboot, devices will be found, drivers will be re-installed and you should be all good to go. Works in majority of times, but not always, not  sure what it depends on ... on cards or mobo... or driver ... or combination of everything.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins wallets? on: June 28, 2017, 04:16:34 AM
Exodus has 6 coins:
augur / bitcoin / dash / dogecoin / eth / golem / litecoin and lets you generate your key locally.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT IS THE BEST WALLET TO MINE DIRECTLY TO please and thank you kindly on: June 27, 2017, 03:48:38 AM
Exodus is nice and its pretty well rated on various wallet reviews, not just because of a cool look but because of a security. Drawback as you mentioned is very limited number of coins.

111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS Mining-P106-6G Coming Soon on: June 24, 2017, 10:07:12 PM
Apparently,  as some were noting, specified mining hardware has join the race. Here is a WORKING sample of a miner (panda like) with nvidia mining cards in it along goes the spec and hash speed:
https://3dnews.ru/954059  under the topic is url to some china site...with some interesting posts to my opinion.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Risers - Differences between 006, 006C and 007? on: June 24, 2017, 10:00:38 PM
6c has additional caps which is nice along with regulators onboard and pcie 6pin connector which is very nice if you use a server psu. I get ONLY those.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Risers cause problems? on: June 24, 2017, 06:48:17 AM
Could be that raiser got shorted to the frame...something like below, system was working fine, but one card was not visible by PC...

114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Riser boards, place on what material? on: June 24, 2017, 06:05:13 AM
Dont use wood. Its a heat insulator and fire hazard.
Caps pins will eventually short to the metal frame if no precautions used. See this:

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Rig Watt Consumption on: June 24, 2017, 04:54:52 AM
i think 350W is a bit more than it should of been with cards idling...IMO. My 4x1080ti OC system idles at about 150W depends on CPU though, and it consumes about 1.25KW at the wall when mining (z170, ssd,g4400,2x4gb ddr4, no extra fans)
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mine, only 2 cards register on: June 24, 2017, 04:21:59 AM
Try adding cards one by one. Read manual for your motherboard, there will be recommendations where goes 1, 2, 3 ,4 cards (order) What os you run? Did you get all drivers installed for your mobo? Updates are done? What kind of PSU, what kind of raisers, etc... too many things left off sight.

but look, some say this mining wave may be thinning out soon
- it already does, unless VEGA comes out nicely or VOLTA which will give it some juice, we will see... i give it until the end of the August beginning of September...time will show.

p.s. it is probably wise to look in to an AMD/NVDA stock and make a quick buck on it. AMD will report earnings on 31 of july, so some time to setup an account and buy it, as it will fly high, due to being sold out everywhere (beats sale expectations) plus APPLE has ordered a whole bunch of chips from them for their new mac series computers that will show up in the fall. Join the train before its too late.

119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PSU with only 4 pci-e connectors. on: June 21, 2017, 05:02:12 AM
Look what connectors you have on your cards 6pin-125W 8pin-150W then it will be easy to understand, as you did not specify what models you have. I would assume this PSU has at least 16AWG wires and uses all 8Pins/wires...
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Difficulty +11% in less than 24 hours. on: June 21, 2017, 04:50:38 AM
@dbc23
 - very good point. Funny thing is that back in the 90's ALL major video cards HAD slots for ADDING ONBOARD memory. This is wise in terms of card usability aka lifespan, but... DICKS that invented term "goods lifespan" have different point of view on it, thats why no more memory add-on slots. Bizniz.. MORE sales - MORE profit, as simple as that.
