101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to trade..?? on: July 28, 2018, 02:18:12 AM
I am not going to give you a step by step from 0 because there are already enough guides on that, but I can leave you several tips that will help you.

1 - Everyone’s a genius in a bull market. Real traders can survive and even thrive in bear markets or highly volatile markets.

2 - Don’t be a blind bull. ALL markets are cyclical. Don’t be afraid of pullbacks or market crashes – that’s where you can make the most money.

3 - There’s a big difference between a trade and an investment.

4 - Fully plan your trade before you pull the trigger on the entry.

5 - Entries are important, but risk & money management is where you make or lose money.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in BTC, Altcoin, or ICO on: July 27, 2018, 02:54:53 AM
whatever you choose I will leave you some tips that I have learned over time, and they were very useful to me at the beginning:

Buy because you believe in the technology and the team and the community. not because someone on BCT or youtube mentioned it
Buy SafeCoins (BTC, LTC,ETH) and Mid-Risk Coins (DASH, BTS, ANS, XRP, ETC...) you know the top 20 coins.
Don't buy ICO as if you know shit
Buy during US / CHN Market hrs, more volume more dips and highs
Don't be an idiot and think you know how to day trade
Buy for the long term (it's not 3 mths/6mths. it's 3 years or 5 years )
Don't buy all at once. Phase out ur buy weekly/monthly. e.g. i want to invest 30% on whatever coin into my portfolio. put in 5% 6 times over 1/2 mth period. put in more during dips. i know you just started and you want to get in in the action quick. but do take this time to understand this market cause its fucked up
Be Brave and HODL when shit gets bad!!!
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coin will you buy after the bear market? on: July 27, 2018, 02:03:10 AM
My main holds are BTC, LTC, and OMG. Recently sold NEO during the Ontology airdrop run (nice...), recently sold BNB prior to the Binance dex notification (doh!).
with DGD - I made a nice profit and there is a need for a decent "stablecoin", not sure this is it and project messaging continues to be rather opaque. I'll be selling this one at or before the next bull run. 18mth lifespan. FUN - love this project but the team seems to disappear between bouts of publicity.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: encourage others to crypto on: July 26, 2018, 05:48:56 AM
I think cryptocurrency has so much to offer than just “Buy Low and Sell High”, people don’t really see beyond that. I would say just go on understanding crypto if you really wanna make it your job.

I encourage all of my friends to join crypto because it is the future. We have debates over it and all but it’s better to make them understand rather than pressure them to invest in crypto. I think there are projects that speak for themselves and impress many people to invest in directly, just take a look at Liven and RedCab. Two of the very best projects that are working in Food and Transport industry, I think people will start using these projects soon.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Monero a Good Investment? on: July 25, 2018, 03:37:35 AM
I think we are slowly getting to the point where the tech is stable and more effort can usefully be invested in usability and marketing, and I thank those community members that have focused on those areas. But the design and implementation have to be solid FIRST, and Monero / MRL have been brilliantly focused on those.

Monero will change the world every bit as much as Linux has, mybe more. And that is saying something!
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: July 25, 2018, 02:38:43 AM
It's generally a good idea to store your Bitcoins in a wallet where you control the private keys, rather than on an exchange where they control the private keys and could go out of business or be lost.

But different wallets offer different levels of protection. And different exchanges offer different levels of protection.

Some wallets include peer-to-peer trading functionality today. And, in the future, some exchanges will offer decentralized trading so that you can trade directly from your wallet and private keys that you control.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO vs ADA on: July 24, 2018, 05:35:02 AM
Own both, slightly more NEO than Cardano at the moment. Tbh I'm much, much more excited about the potential of Cardano as a project and as a potential future global standard. I've basically forced myself to remain diversified across a dozen cryptos (mostly platforms), though am always tempted to go all in on ADA.

Cardano is a winner. If you can't see that, I don't know what to tell you.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market corrections are good on: July 24, 2018, 04:27:34 AM
What goes up must come down...If the market is overheated and prices go up too quickly people get edgy and as traders start booking profits the momentum shifts to sellers and a panic can turn into a rush to the exit, the difference between a crash and a correction is all in the eye of the observer in crypto where 20-30% swings happen all the time(vs. very rarely in stocks)...
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What websites are you using for price analysis? on: July 21, 2018, 03:45:44 AM
I like https://onchainfx.com/

I try to avoid coinmarketcap after they were happy taking advertising money from Bitconnect and placing a big Bitconnect banner at the top of their site. Also, they were valuing BCC market cap higher than it should have been and only changed it after it was being pointed out.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which is better a Long term or Short term investment? on: July 20, 2018, 02:36:47 AM
short-term investment would be day-trading practically, and I have heard that it is quite volatile and as most people do not know how to do it you can lose all your investment, I prefer the long-term for several reasons, less stressful, I do not have to be looking at 3 monitors all day and I can have very good profits with little effort, it is always good to find a good currency and hold on to it until you get their worth.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your reason joining here in crypto? on: July 19, 2018, 04:30:39 AM
When I first started, my gate was Ethereum. I thought it was neat but had a lot to learn to fully grasp it. Then I discovered Bitcoin and that there was this massive space of cryptocurrencies which I had never hear of before. Once I learned more about Ethereum, blockchain, and I understood what it was trying to accomplish, I was instantly hooked. There was a new technology that was able to hold people to truth and honesty in our world of corruption and deception. I desire to live in the future with all the new technology and advancement; cryptos looks to me like the way money will change, from centralized to decentralized authority. Whether or not Bitcoin and cryptos thrives or crashes, our money, along with other fields, will forever be impacted by this technology
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should you do as a bounty hunter every day? on: July 19, 2018, 02:30:30 AM
Good advice, I would like to add that you should check the rules and requirements for bounties several times, I myself have missed several weeks of work and support to the ICOs, for not having followed the rules well or for not realizing that the rules have changed, so check the rules well a few times a week.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency should I buy now? on: July 12, 2018, 02:55:55 AM
If I were you, I'd take a look at COSS is an exchange where the tokens associated with it pays you dividends based on how much fees the exchange receive from trading volume. Currently, they are only doing 4 million a day, but they are going to implement FIAT which is a game changer. Even with todays prices the token is undervalued by almost 2x if you account for today volume with 5% ROI. People are talking about binance volumes of over a billion dollar in daily volume, but that seems a little far-fetched to me, still not impossible though. A realistic goal would be anything between 30-200 million daily trading volume.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Holding Altcoins Is Not Profitable Anymore on: July 11, 2018, 03:42:44 AM
And what are you going to do? sell at a very low price?, better have them there forget about them for a while and let they be able to surprise you in a few months, remember that the value of the altcoins is linked to the value of the bitcoins and so far is stabilizing a bit and if you wait a little more and go up, you can foresee that the price of your altcoins will go up too.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about Cryptocurrency? on: July 10, 2018, 03:50:12 AM
Simply, whoever controls your money controls your life.

Look at what a thousand units of your local currency buys you compared to your parents' era. Notice that it's worth a hell of a lot less?

That's due to the manipulation of politicians and central banks.

Now make a decision.

Do you want to spend more of your life working to earn money that is worth less and less OR do you want to earn money that aligns with your values?
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Westland Storage the next BitConnect SCAM? on: July 03, 2018, 03:39:59 AM
Another major indicator of a scam of this sort is the general low effort and total lack of quality control visible in the site’s design. Most often, this manifests itself in the form of numerous spelling and grammar errors all over the site, as well as the near-exclusive use of stock images.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with Token Spam on: July 02, 2018, 03:53:19 AM
I think Etherscan should add an option to permanently hide specific tokens or just hide known spammers by default. Other than that, just because you see a list of tokens on Etherscan, it doesn't necessarily mean that's everything you own. For example, you can own some SIM spam that doesn't show until you manually check how many you have. The only reason this is a viable spam method currently, is because of how Etherscan shows your tokens. Otherwise, you should always know what valuable tokens you have yourself so you'd only check the amount of those if you need later.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many bounty campaign are extending? on: July 02, 2018, 01:06:25 AM
Of course, they had to do something, as they saw that they couldn't deliver what they promised, they had to extend the deadline, now the bounties don't have a very good reputation, that's why upcoming projects have to be much more careful with what they do, because they can fail before they even start.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS or ETH, which one is preferable?? on: June 30, 2018, 05:31:47 AM
I would think more of Ethereum Vs NEO. Neo is moving very fast while ethereum is just floundering. Eos could be a scam. Remember that crack head promoting them? Brock something or other? Exciting thing is that we get to see if Verge is a scam on the 17th.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: crypto going strong ? on: June 30, 2018, 03:29:55 AM
I think the price depressive period is coming to an end, with these last few days in a positive trend I think it could continue and attract more investors, once the market gains momentum no one will know how much it's going to go off.
