Fuserler's ostrich ...

I was thinking about Emunie too. This guy has been working on it for years. I installed one of testing wallets years ago so I know he can produce.  The project was not drama free but which one is.

Spoetnik really surprises me with his eloquence at times.

I can guarantee you Shelby people tune you out chronically.

long winded alienating every person here

100+ pages running with each comment being a long winded rant

That's what I meant about "verbal diahrrea".  iamnotback insists its not him, its our lower than average intelligence ... lol.

"Re: HUGE Drop coming!"

Joke about it. Dismiss it. Denie it.

Secretly we all shaking in our boots expecting the epic DUMP.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think "iamnotback" really has the" Bitcoin killer"? on: January 04, 2017, 06:11:16 PM
I don't pay a lot of attention to iamnotback mainly because of verbal diarrhea(sorry iamnotback). He is one of our more well known characters for better or worse ... something like Spoetnik.

Hard to say if he can produce something unique. He might be the next "satoshi". Genuis comes in many forms and is often mistaked for idiocy.

Would I buy his coin? Hell ya. The entertainment value alone would be worth the few bucks. Can you imagine the shit storms?

105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Actually Drop? When? on: January 04, 2017, 05:48:53 PM

That is very true, but would you agree that bitcoin is more stable compared to the last drop in price?

I agree except for recent hours where it exhibits classic pump characteristics.

Quote
The HLODers are also "stronger" this time around because of everything they have been through.

Exactly. People learn from their mistakes. I know I did.

The bitcoin/gold analogy is accurate. Despite bitcoin's lack of acceptance and usage it thrives as a store of value.

For over two years you have kept this coin above water.

Considering the sad state of altcoins, you deserve a pat on the back qiwoman2. Congrats!

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - Reporting Missing Coins on: January 04, 2017, 04:00:57 AM
So, I'm a bit late to the party, but I lost 7 BTC to mintpal apparently (only found out today ;_; )

Is there any way to recover any of it, or is just 7k down the drain?

You must be playing with us (one post account is highly suspect). You didn't have 7 bitcoins in Mintpal and forget about them for over two years. Come on.

108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Actually Drop? When? on: January 04, 2017, 03:47:34 AM
In the last 3 months:

Has there been any new technology/business that has made BTC easier to buy? NO

Has there been any new technology/business that has made BTC easier to understand? NO

Has there been any new technology/business that has made BTC easier to use? NO

I believe this run up is inflated and the price will drop soon enough. It might take a while because of the recent press, which will bring some new buyers, but I don't see any logical reason for the run up.

And do not come back with "it's supply and demand". So is a penny stock supply and demand?

I am a HLODer for the long term, but don't see these price movements reflect anything going on in the real world.

Well said.

One thing we can expect from bitcoin is the unexpected.

109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do people buy from a 170 Million premined coin? on: January 01, 2017, 09:26:34 PM
I don't want to harp on this.. it won't do any good anyway.
All i can think here is if there is a large premine ?
It WILL catch up with you and bite you in the ass.
People will forever dredge it up and rail on about it again and again for years to come.

The sensible thing for the guys behind the coin to do would be..
Start working on that "Ledger" ASAP !

And keep it real !
People can tolerate a whole lot of bad if it is delivered honestly.
Vs people scheming to hide things and BS etc.
So..
If the dev took a chunk of the premine and spent it on coke & hookers ?
Admit it !
Come clean and then from that point on be honest.
The worst thing any dev can do in crypto is drag shit on for years playing games lying and making poor excuses for blatant behavior.

That applies obviously to any coin project.
I am not really for or against this coin in question.
Just trying to offer some insight and advice to PREVENT drama.
I am not posting this to START drama..

Good luck guys (which ever side your on in the battle)  Cheesy

Good luck trying to get thieves to own up to their thievery.  They can color it anyway they want ... premine ... ico ... its outright thievery yet they still manage to pull in the suckers.

A lot could change if people would guit buying into this shit and boycott the scammy past, present, and future scammers.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: peercoin? on: January 01, 2017, 09:16:16 PM
hello there, I was wondering if anyone knows why is the price of peercoin going down so much? I bought a lot of them as it kept falling, but then it kept falling more and more, I should have kept btc Tongue it seems to be happening to other altcoins too, is only it because btc is going up? I did invest some btc in altcoins thinking they were at a very low price, and now they are half the original price.

Lots of factors. Most, if not all, old altcoins have dropped dramatically in worth.

Main one is no altcoin has taken off as bitcoin's silver. Litecoin was for a long time but it has languished too. Until people start using cryptocurrencies as currency the scene will remain a school boy's pasttime of playing/trading marbles. The boy's like shiny new marbles.

At the present time altcoins only reason for existance is to be traded for btc which really has value.

Hang on to your peercoins. The developer has not abandoned it and it has stood the test of time.  Who knows what the future will bring.
111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 29, 2016, 05:54:35 PM
I couldn't be happier with our wonderful Bitcoin. Also vindicated.

I suffered through declining prices in early 2014 when the Chinese government was coming down on btc. Suffered through the Gox fiasco and the resulting declining prices although I lost no funds at Gox.

Suffered through thievery and scam. Vircurex, Mintpal, and Homero got some of my btc.

Suffered eye rolling from my wife. Evaded questions from friends and relatives.

All the time, I never lost faith. Kept buying bitcoin even at the despair level under $300.

Today I'm a hero. My wife showers me with adoration. My friends and relatives look at me with new found respect.

Don't be a loser. Buy bitcoin. When it reaches $10,000 you'll be a hero too.

"You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em,"

All I know is bitcoin experiences great pumps and spectacular dumps. I would be surprised if this was not the case this time.

I can picture all those who held coins from the epic pump of 2013 waiting for ROI. Fingers resting on triggers.

All it takes is for some of the big boys to pull triggers and all hell breaks loose.

Sorry to put a damper on the Holiday joy but we need to be realistic. We are on thin ice.

Hope I'm wrong and bitcoin keeps surging ahead.
I sure as fuck hope there will be a huge dump. I haven't bought back any of what I have sold yet, and low prices are better for my business in terms of btc earnings.

But there won't.

And what's with the empty space at the end of your post anyway? Deleting that shit, it's stupid.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Monero's GUI is out, what will people complain about next? on: December 25, 2016, 07:48:07 PM
Now that Monero's GUI is out, what will people complain about next?

How long it took to create the GUI (2 years?) will be an ongoing concern as it applies to future improvements to Monero.

I've got nothing against Monero but the lack of a GUI has always been a huge red flag.  GUI for all platforms should have been first and foremost.  One can make all the excuses they want but its a glaring fact and reflects badly on the skill level of Monero devs. Two years is disgraceful.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: R.I.P Ethereum - The Pre-Mined ScamCoin is dead on: December 24, 2016, 09:03:10 PM
I'm glad someone bumped this old thread,
just to see someone talking about how LTC was going to reach $100 a coin.
I am going to bump this post because I just saw in the Wall Observer thread that they noticed that someone just bought up a whole lot of litecoin. Undecided

I wouldn't say Eth was dead but it is going to cycle wayyyy down to a credible price and I mean pennies.

116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: December 24, 2016, 08:55:05 PM
I appreciate the OPs honest post. He was smart enough to call it quits before he lost more. Was he trading altcoins? If so, a good lesson for everyone.

Holding bitcoin is the only "relatively" safe way to grow your investment. Wait for it to go up and sell. Wait for it to go down and buy.  Its a waiting game and those with patience win.

No fast money in altcoins anymore unless you are on the inside of a scam or pump.

I hope the OP stayed away from alts. Holding bitcoin long term has proven to be extremely profitable.

What a wonderful Christmas present!

Hodl and thou shalt be rewarded.

118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FACTS] Crypto = Morality on: December 20, 2016, 05:41:56 AM
Crypto isn't morality, but the radical free market structure in this new environment will eventually lead to moral behaviour through the laws of behavioural incentives.
There are huge incentives to capitalise on ignorance, however these actors won't be around for long. Because where ever there is an inefficiency, there is incentives to counter them. Investing blindly in scams with devs with no reputation or even completely nameless actors is being punished while investing in well
vetted projects with realistic promises and a solid model are rewarded. So there is a behavioural shift occurring and there is a market of trust being built.
The scams will eventually diminish to a minimum and thats also when mass adoption is going to happen. Instead of capitalising on peoples ignorance by scamming them, people will do so by providing a reputational platform (for a fee of course). Like gateways for the masses.

I don't know how far away we are, but we are definitely moving in that direction.

J.V.

Very well stated. Yes this happening. And I have observed that recent ICOs did not do well such as Ark.io and komodoplatform.com. If I get healthy enough to complete my project, I expect we will see a big shift away from scams, copycoins, and hyped technobabble.

The Ark ICO only got 212 BTC. And the Komodo ICO claims 2639 BTC, but I believe perhaps they started it with 2000 - 2500 BTC from themselves, and only raised a few 100 BTC.

Four years of watching altcoins come and go tells me we are not moving in the right direction. The scams and hoaxes have only gotten more complex and organized. You cannot tell the good guys from the bad guys so supporting a project is still a roll of the dice.

I wish you a speedy recovery iamnotback. Crypto will die without you.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - BullshitCoin - BST on: December 18, 2016, 12:43:58 AM
What? No dapps, no smart contracts, no whitepaper, no webpage, no promises, no anonymity, no segwit, no ico, no premine, no hype, and no bullshit.

Sounds too good to be true. And that's a compliment.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many of you are investing in chronobank ico? on: December 17, 2016, 10:37:47 PM
