Taking into account the experience gained, in fact a loss of 7 btc over two years of trading is not so significant if we take into account that you started  this business without prior trading knowledge. It is a shame that you can not continue, because I am sure the good times were just beginning.

I guess quitting trading does not need to be permanent and taking some break to sharpen their skill must be inevitable for a trader who was continuously facing losses. Instead of struggling with continuous losses, stopping it must be a better idea in my opinion too.

I'm not sure about OP's idea about resuming trading. But I strongly believe any trader will be able to quit trading completely, so he also will join trading soon.

I appreciate the OPs honest post. He was smart enough to call it quits before he lost more. Was he trading altcoins? If so, a good lesson for everyone.

Holding bitcoin is the only "relatively" safe way to grow your investment. Wait for it to go up and sell. Wait for it to go down and buy.  Its a waiting game and those with patience win. 

No fast money in altcoins anymore unless you are on the inside of a scam or pump.

I hope the OP stayed away from alts. Holding bitcoin long term has proven to be extremely profitable.

I would suggest to invest it somewhere. Hire some people and start an online business for something you get in your locality. I did that with my money and it is quiet successful.  

But usually people here are suggesting to re-start trading after gaining required skills. Because if a trader decided to quit trading due to losses then he must want to recover his losses only from trading. But I like your suggestions. It would be better to get into a complete new business and starting a new life.

I find that line of argument illogical as something must hold some interest for you before you might want to have confidence and willing to identify with it! The traders trying to get some profit from bitcoin, yes are attracted by the potential for profit making and by so doing, are invariably promoting bitcoin by contributing to its market capitalization, volumes of trade and patronage of companies doing businesses with bitcoin. Hahhaha, this is indeed very funny indeed if no one is willing to help him to find the money in it. If I were to choose between the two, I would certainly choose trading over gambling, I have many years in gambling and it does not bring me great profit, in fact with the way I treat it now, I just do it for fun and that is a statement that I cannot win in gambling so I totally accepted it.

With trading, though the income is totally base on how much your capital but if you are extremely good, it would be easy to double your money.

I have been trading and investing for some years in stock market as well as in Cryptos. I  just got to say that I made more money by investing rather than trading. Trading, at the end of the day has only helped me in burning my money.

Yes those traders who is making trading of alt coins as main source of their living they are looking and prefer to gain profits on a daily basis. Investing in gambling using the money is acceptable because if you invest it in the right site then it will be

certainly profitable but betting it on a gambling is a different story. As you all know that the house often wins

like 70% chance that the house will win and the other 30% will be the chance that the players will win. Yes the

bigger the amount you bet the bigger your profits will be and if it's not your day your loss will be bigger also.

That's why many people here are saying that gamble only what you can afford to lose.

I think not only in gambling but in trading also you need to set a target for you and make a strategy to make trading more effective and specially if you are a newbie in trading, you need to be more careful and need to invest a limited amount of bitcoin as you need to get some good experience first.
