Any thoughts on which of them to look for the frequency parameter or whit it might be called so I can search for it?

I think it ends in .conf
102  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: April 09, 2021, 03:47:28 PM
by target - I think he is meaning in cgminer - see where I circled?

Yep, you are correct sir. Smiley

Shure I'll try...From the top...........

I changed "gekko-newpac-freq 100" to "gekko-newpac-freq 150"

And I saw no change in frequency..... It stayed at 100.
Does the target say 150?

Target??? the only reference is in my script which I changed to "gekko-newpac-freq 150".

Code:
cgminer version 4.11.1 - Started: [2021-04-09 10:31:15.987]

In CGMiner you should see T:150 where mine above says T:650.  That is the target CGMiner is trying for.  If you didn't see the T:150 then something is telling CGMiner to target 100 Mhz instead.  Someone asked to check your .conf file for conflicting commands.

So its been over 18 hours and I'm still mining at 100 Mhz.

I just don't know where to look from here.

Three people have asked you multiple questions.  You could try answering some of them, maybe.
105  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: April 08, 2021, 09:08:39 PM
That was my thought too.  Johnny closed his pool and the thread.

I changed "gekko-newpac-freq 100" to "gekko-newpac-freq 150"

And I saw no change in frequency..... It stayed at 100.

Does the target say 150?

How long did you wait?  The auto tune can take a while.

Thanx! i will try to find a way how to do that, im not so good at what to write to add the furries.

Hope some one can fill me in what to write in the terminal to make it work.

I'm not sure what you mean by "write in the terminal"?

When you compile the CGMiner source code you need to enable support for each type of miner you have.

CGMiner doesn't use com ports.  It uses the winusb driver.

Doesn't Zadig give the USB device number.  Also I thought there was a CGMiner command line option for that as well?

Mainly just posting to lose the Spanish subject line as seen on Index page Tongue

Is Policing Subject Lines a good paying job?  Smiley

I understand and thank you very much for the explanation. Good luck to you.

And good luck to you as well.

It is fun to watch the shares scroll and the Best Share value increment in CGMiner on my Pi.
110  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NEWPACK on: March 21, 2021, 08:26:00 PM
Ah, thank you for the explanation and help. I thought I was playing the lottery. So what's the point of leaving NEWPACK on? What is the advantage and goal of this?
Is the difficulty set low or high?
The pool adjusts difficulty automatically to submit approximately 18 shares per minute.  So you don't need to worry about difficulty settings.

Most people mine with Newpac's for the fun of it.  There is always a slight chance of finding a share that meets or exceeds the current difficulty for finding a block.  You have to decide for yourself what your point or goal is.
111  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NEWPACK on: March 21, 2021, 07:44:16 PM
Sure, but no payment appeared in my wallet, so I thought I had a badly set miner .... So how does a "lottery win" work out? Thank you

You didn't find a block!  A block was found on the network.  That happens about once every 10 minutes.

The chances of your finding a block with a Newpac are beyond astronomical.

Also if your miner found a block you would have a best share value above current difficulty.
112  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NEWPACK on: March 21, 2021, 06:52:09 PM
"New block detected on network before pool notification stratum from pool 0 at height 674900". What does it mean? I have a difficulty setting of 512 and 400Mhz overclock.

It means just what it says. A new block was found on the network.  The pool was slow in detecting the new block and sending your miner new work.  Happens from time to time.  Has nothing to do with your miner.

How do I get cgminer to stop scanning/trying to grab the Moonlanders I have running on the same machine/hub?

Look through the top post and mstroziers installation instructions on page 28.  There are a couple methods to pick specific devices.

115  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 257 blocks solved! on: March 15, 2021, 01:47:00 PM
It seems to be mining anyway?
Unless I am misunderstanding, it does seem to be mining.
Please correct me if I am wrong or if the results don't look right for the hashrate.  I am very new to these Newpacs and to cgminer and I appreciate the advice and expertise.

Yes you are mining.  CGMiner is showing hash rate and you have a best share.  What results don't look right for your hash rate??
116  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: March 12, 2021, 05:18:49 PM
I think you have to put "sudo" in front of the ./cgminer.
117  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: March 09, 2021, 11:56:52 PM
Im having problems setting up cgminer on Ubuntu 20.10. I want to have it setup to mine pool.

The .10 version may be the issue.  Here's a past post on that version

Anyone got this to compile on Ubuntu 20.10? I get errors.

Copied and pasted from 1st post.

I haven't tried 20.10.  Others have tried other versions of the .10 beta's and have had trouble.  I would probably try the 20.04 LTS.  Or switch to a Pi 4, which is what most of us did.

Yep, got it to build on 20.04, THANKS for the advice!
118  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: February 26, 2021, 11:30:35 PM
So frustrated..
I have a newPac USB and tried in both linux and windows 10.

What version of Linux?

On Windoze did you install the WinUSB driver using the Zadig utility?

What's your full command line?
119  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: February 24, 2021, 12:11:29 PM
But what about "--usb :1 2>%LOGFILE%" do I leave that in??

Without knowing why you put them in there in the first place it's hard to tell you to take it out.

If you have just one device and you want to mine to it then you probably don't need the usb argument to limit it to one device.  If you don't want the log file then take that out.

But it's up to you.

If it were me I would take out all the extra crap and just leave the basic

Code:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 --gekko-newpac-freq 200 --suggest-diff 128 -u bc1mybitcoinaddress123456789 -p x
120  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: February 13, 2021, 06:24:39 PM
I'm thinking that's the issue.  The unit has been running fine and stable overnight.  So I'll run it this way till your new units are available.  Keep us posted on possible ETA's.
Thanks,
Sam
