101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: August 08, 2020, 06:46:57 AM
I got into the space after a friend introduced me to High yield investment platforms (HYIPs). This was my first adventure in cryptocurrency, I purchased bitcoin with the hope of getting much more after few days, but they ran away with my funds and I could withdraw. I continued in several platforms and lost much more until I gave up and started reading more about projects and gaining an understanding of how the industry operates.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite coin so far on: August 08, 2020, 06:40:14 AM
I have a range of coins and tokens I hold in high esteem, but for the moment, I'll say my favourite coin is ethereum. Ethereum as we all know is the king of altcoin and has held her position as the second coin in the coin market cap, based on her capitalisation. The ethereum 2.0 shows that the team are very assiduous and the project development is still agile. There's a tendency that the value goes high based on the fundamental analysis of the market.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest in any cryptocurrencies! on: August 08, 2020, 06:34:57 AM
Most of the information we get online from people trying to get referrals about crypto is an exaggeration or plain lies. We tend to come to the cryptocurrency space with our hopes high, but after investing our time and resources we get disappointed because our expectations were not met. Its best to get the right information and patiently walk your way to the top in this space.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attention for bounty work on: August 07, 2020, 01:59:21 PM
I actually don't think the forum membership level of a bounty manager has a lot to do with the validity of a project. I noticed that bounty detective is managed by a junior member and I must confess that they're doing a great job in the bounty management service. Some projects make use of high membership status accounts and still cart away with people's funds.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum transection error on: August 07, 2020, 01:53:05 PM
To avoid issues like this, it's best to always check the prevailing gas fee to get a safe transaction before sending or better still use a wallet like imtoken, where the safe gas fee is automatically set and users have the opportunity to adjust when necessary. Its a known fact that the gas fee for transactions are on the increase and checking before sending would safe one the stress and cost of sending twice.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who said that ICOs are dead? on: August 07, 2020, 01:44:37 PM
I'm not disputing the fact that 42 million dollars was raised in few hours, but I've come to realise that it's not every information published in this space is true. Most ICO's prefer to inflate the amount raised, it's even prevalent among IEO's. There's no guarantee that a project would be successful, because a large amount was raised during the tokensales.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust Wallet Token discussion. on: August 07, 2020, 01:39:51 PM
Trust wallet is backed by a strong team.
Agreed. They've got a huge community right now and growing incredibly.
About the token, you can find the usecases of TWT here : https://community.trustwallet.com/t/trust-wallet-token-twt/4187
It surprises me to hear about binance buys coinmarketcap too. I didn't follow updates since a long time. Seems like the community of binance is getting bigger day by day.
About the token, how do you think it's useful according to the usecases mentioned in your link? Binance has already it's own token called bnb, as we all know, so what would be the need to create a new one for the purchased wallet? Now i won't be surprised if binance starts working on another token for cmc.  Cheesy

BINANCE already has another tokens on coin market cap, which is the BUSD, it's a stable coin and it's among the first 20 coin in the coin market based on the market capitalisation. Its no news that binance is taking the cryptocurrency industry to greater heights and their involvement in the space is exceptional.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is happening around STO? on: August 06, 2020, 01:28:03 PM
Seriously STO ( Security Token Offering ) has every legal evidence you could ever hoped for from new ICO and IEO projects, I'm just curious and surprised at the same time why STO projects aren't doing so well, they always failed to raise fund successfully even when they are more legit than others, what do you think it's happening with STO? Why so much failures?

In my opinion, investors in this space are more concerned about profitability than security. Most investors would prefer risking their funds to get much more reward. This is likely the plight of STO's, and that explains why we've barely had a very successful security token.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrow is a must to avoid disappointment on: August 06, 2020, 01:23:25 PM
Escrow is the best way out for bounty rewards to be secured. With the current nature of the cryptocurrency industry, where integrity is lacking. Bounty managers need to be extra careful in carrying out their job to prevent the project team from playing a fast one on them. I must commend bounty detective for the step taken in the right direction in their use of Escrow.

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The return of ICOs on: August 05, 2020, 12:49:19 PM
It would be nice to have ICO's return back to the cryptocurrency industry. Though they were once popular before the advent of IEO. I know IEO are very expensive for the projects. I know projects that paid substantial sums for IEO and didn't get any sales. The best exchange to be used for tokensales are the big exchange like binance and others. They guarantee a good buy within short periods of time.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: August 05, 2020, 12:45:20 PM
I am well aware of coins with controlled inflation like BTC, where a finite number of coins will be generated at a controlled rate. Very recently I came across deflationary tokens where coins are destroyed whenever a transaction is made and they will end at some time.
My question is what is the purpose of creating such coins? Are they worthy enough to be invested ?

Firstly, I don't think deflationary tokens are worth investing. This is because they rarely have any reasonable use case. The major or only purpose for their establishment is for increase in value which makes it more of a ponzi scheme than a cryptocurrency project. The deflationary tokens rarely list on reputable exchanges such as binance, bittrex, poloniex, etc.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Brave browser reaches 16.7 million monthly active users. on: August 05, 2020, 10:06:59 AM
It's nice to see that the brave browser is gaining more popularity. I'm of the opinion that one of the most common reasons why the brave browser is gaining momentum is that it gives its users the opportunity to earn why using the browser. Though the amount is quite small, but it's appreciated by users.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: August 05, 2020, 08:25:15 AM
I joined the cryptocurrency space, less than three years ago and my first source of income in terms of altcoin was through airdrops. I gained a lot of altcoin, though several of them were worthless and most of the projects are either dead or on the verge of their demise. Its actually a good news hearing that you're working on reviving some projects. I honestly do wish some of the projects, I have their tokens could be revived.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you still hodling that shitcoin? on: August 04, 2020, 08:31:33 PM
The major reason why I still hold many worthless token is because they don't have a market, some others are not even worth the gas fee, considering the quantity in the wallet. Its best to just allow it lie there hoping that something may change in the future for the project and one could profit from it.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens? on: August 03, 2020, 12:20:12 PM
I personally would choose an established project over a new project for investment purpose. A new project has a higher tendency of failure, as most newly established cryptocurrency tend to fail due to the inherent nature of the market. On the other hand, established projects can give more returns and pose a lesser risk, since it has survived the early stages which is prone to failure.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New exchange tokens worth investing on??? on: July 31, 2020, 01:04:47 PM
In my opinion, It's better to stick with the popular exchange tokens like that of binance and other global exchanges. Investing in medium exchange tokens may be risky and the Returns are not quite encouraging. Crytocurrency exchange is a quite risky venture and several great exchanges in the past has gone down the drain and several others we thought are good, just like bcnex, ended up exiting the space, Leaving the holders stranded.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP got 30 new WHALES!!! on: July 31, 2020, 11:53:30 AM
XRP got 30 new whales who are holding over a million XRP on their wallet. The analysis says XRP is ready to go up. Read the article below to know more.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/xrp-is-up-30-and-has-30-new-whales/amp

What's your thoughts on it? Can we see Ripple over 1$ again? Or it will stay here?

It would be awesome to see ripple pump, just like ethereum and Bitcoin, but I don't think few persons holding millions of ripple would make the value increase to over $1. Ripple has one of the highest supply in the cryptocurrency space and most of the tokens are held by few people as it stands.
