You should setup a youtube channel and ask people to send you videos they take of cops.

Apparently there have been reports lately of several TSA agents developing cancer.

A buddhist goes up to a hot dog vendor and tells him, "Make me one with everything."

One time I was hanging out with a friend of mine and some people he knows. One lady was asking me about myself and asked where I was from. When I told her I was from Idaho she said, "Wow were there any other black people up there?" To which I replied,
"Believe it or not, my parents were black too!"

I see what you are getting at, but accepting bitcoin only would severely limit the number of people one could sell too. I think the important thing would be having places where people can spend their bitcoins without exchanging them. In fact if we accepted only bitcoin we would have to sell them on an exchange to cover costs.

Truthseeker: Why is the initial distribution unfair? What would be a fair distribution? What changes do you think should be made for your hypothetical bitcoin II?

Bitcoin Venture Capital.

We've got a few good startups that have submitted ideas and a few investors with BTC willing to fund, we're just trying to match up the right people!.

How can startups apply? Do you have a website or anything?

Yes we do.. I should really make a signature..

http://www.btcvc.com/

There are a list of outstanding ideas that have been submitted available through the blog, and we're working to update with some new ideas we've received! We also have been contacted by a few BTC investors, but obviously we're keeping that list close to the cuff for security purposes.

Thanks, I forwarded this along to our CEO to see if its an avenue he wants to persue. I have a question though from looking at the website. Do the companies applying have to accept bitcoin exclusivly for payment? We were just planning on using it as an option along side more traditional payment options.

Lots of ad hominem and false appeal to authority going on in this thread.

Truthseeker, the post you copied in your initial thread seems to be saying that whether or not deflation is good or bad is a separate argument from the viability of bitcoin. I see nothing saying people shouldn't discuss bitcoin itself or its virtues or flaws in that post.

What would be a "fair" Initial distribution?

Many people(many being relative to the size of the overall market) are interested in being vendors for bitcoin(myself included) and this is likely to grow somewhat in time.

You blame the volatility on the lack of vendors and the lack of vendors on the volatility. If they are both dependent on each other then we can solve both by easing one yes? So as the market grows the volatility will shrink which will bring more vendors which should in turn settle the volatility even more. Sounds like we just need a critical mass of people in the market(not counting people whose only involvement in bitcoin is speculating on the exchanges atm).

There were some other points but I don't remember them after reading through those 4 pages of posts. I may come back and add more if I remember.

Thank you for sparking this lively discussion Truthseeker, I hope you find what you seek. ^_^

If you've already been here for 4 or more hours should it be automatic after the 5th post? I think I should have access but something may have gone wrong.
