101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: December 07, 2020, 06:10:28 AM
Many ICO projects are dead since 2018 but ICO crowdfunding is still alive till today, people gave up on ICO crowdfunding because they are taken advantage of by scammers in 2017-2018, ICO lost its trust and IEO took over, slowly and gradually IEO became a more reliable crowdfunding strategy
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When will Antminer E3 stop mining ETH? on: December 07, 2020, 06:06:34 AM
Hello,

I am trying to find out this question but i canīt seem to find a date.

When DAG size is over 4GB (antminer E3 RAM) then it will be over and this machine will have no way to mine ethereum?

I've read in some articles that Bitmain released a software which extended life expectancy of these miners by several months... Can this be done again?

I guess this is a common question about ETH mining, but i can`t find it out for this miner.

Thank you all
miguelik

EDIT: I have read this miners will stop mining around OCT 2020... Is this definitive?
Whatever happens to Ethereum by 2020 shouldn't affect asic miner E3 because Ethereum isn't  the only digital currency that's using the Ethash Algorithm, you can still mine Ethereum Classic instead and also Ethereum Classic accepts miners with 3gb memory too, that's extra long life span for 4gb miners
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done/are you doing with your ICO coins? on: December 06, 2020, 07:19:29 AM
Holding altcoins for long term are very risky, you need to keep monitoring the projects very closely, unlike top altcoins and bitcoin, once you buy them and locked them away that it is, you can come back four years later to take a peek at your portfolio but not new altcoins, you will get burnt pretty fast, ICO projects of 2017 and 2018 are a good example, majority of them are all dead
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How prepared are you for Spark token on: December 06, 2020, 07:16:45 AM
Is Nexo exchange and kucoin exchange not recognized? Ive received mail from them that they are supporting this airdrop as well, I'm just wondering what will happen to XRP after the airdrop event is finally over, maybe the price will start deep diving? The spark project thus look like a high quality project, I hope I'm right
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: December 05, 2020, 07:14:37 AM
These two are sure good altcoins to invest, and I also believe that both will be successful in the future, but I would like to ask the community here if which coin they believe will be more successful in the future. I also added a poll so you can vote, this would help people reading this thread to easily determine which coin is better.

Please share your opinion too on why you choose a certain coin.
I've read many comments in here and members seem to favour Ethereum the most probably because it's decentralized and also the best smart contract project, of cos that's what I expected too, BNB is damn good too but it's centralized as we know it, that feels like a draw back but seriously I trust BNB and binance team, this thread need to be shut down cos you are going to keep getting same answers over and over, ETH and BNB are a most buy
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your thought about New projects? on: December 05, 2020, 07:07:42 AM
New projects are not to be rely on because you can never tell what their real motives are, they always have good start and as time fades away they start revealing how bad they are, I invest in most new projects to take advantage of them so I can say it's a perfect short time ride, I only hold old altcoins for long term and new altcoins for short term, dont blame me, I did this because of my past experience
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is uniswap a good place for the new tokens? on: December 05, 2020, 07:04:24 AM
Make sure the token you plan to list on Uniswap is very good or no one will buy it, I believe that only tokens with good utilities deserves to be listed on Uniswap not some junk tokens because it's not easy to get volumes on Uniswap, there is no room for fake volume
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Email address exposure in spreadsheet on: December 04, 2020, 06:45:02 AM
This depends on each BM, for experienced BMs they will surely recognize it and they have hidden it. Usually i see new BMs or projects that manage their own bounty, such projects often bring a large amount of spam mail, so choosing which bounty to join is a concern before.
Yes it depends, if the bounty manager is a new one he or she will leave it be thinking it can't cause any harm, not until bounty hunters raise alarm themselves, my advice is to speak up for yourselves when any bounty manager expose emails in spreadsheet, they might not see it as a threat
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 3060Ti 8GB or RX 5700 XT 8GB ? on: December 04, 2020, 06:42:18 AM
The normal price for RTX3060ti was 400$, that was the announced price from nvidia but now it's almost 800$ and some are even selling over 800$ but if you don't mind buying the OEM variants you can still get the around 400 to 450$ on ebay

I'm always a fan of Nvidia graphics card because they always have better cooling than AMD
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 570 8g mining settings help on: December 04, 2020, 06:33:20 AM
Just because some RX570 can do 30MH doesn't mean yours can also do it, I have 5  different RX570 Asus brand and mining Ethereum will all these cards in a single motherboard only 3 stays at 30MH/s, the remaining two RX570 stays at 28MH, I'm surprised because they are all same brand, welcome to mining world
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Used RTX307* needed on: December 03, 2020, 06:41:29 AM
Every RTX3070 on Newegg are sold out completely for 669$ to 700$ and now the price is over 800$ on ebay, some are even selling over a thousand dollar, that's insane, if you are looking forward to build mining rig with this cards I advice you replan your strategy, go with cheaper GPUs instead, with 900$ you will buy 3 gtx 1660ti on ebay and still have some dollars left
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mobile wallet is more important on: December 03, 2020, 06:32:52 AM
I'm currently having same issue with Veil privacy coin, I invested in this coin in 2018 and I was forced to download the windows wallet, got the recovery seed and address, bought some coins and deposit but after I sold my PC but until this day the team still don't release a mobile wallet, if the coin pumps today I won't be able to sell because

1. I don't have PC anymore
2. The whole blockchain data is over 32gig of data

Even if I have to get a PC from a friend I'd still have to worry about buying huge data to download the blockchain.

114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Don't venture into something you aren't completely sure about. on: September 05, 2020, 06:30:47 AM
If you aren't fully prepared for what's coming don't jump into mining, miners have been in bad shape since last bullrun in 2017 to early 2018 and many shut down their miners, just because it's profitable to mine right now doesn't mine things will remain the same for miners, another thing to be worried about is ETHASH Algorithm, this Algorithm is the most profitable but the best coins on this Algorithm ( ETC and ETH ) are changing to POS and other algo soon, meaning your gpu will be less profitable too, it's better to buy coins unless it's your hubby already.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Solar mining vs diesel generator mining ? Any experience? on: September 05, 2020, 06:23:22 AM
Would it be more safer to buy coins instead of mining? After calculating the costs of buying cards and setting up solar panels with batteries and inverter i see that costs are too gigantic if one plan to run cards for 24 hrs everyday, is anyone mining using diesel generator? Bad idea?
Buy coins instead, you will get ROI in a year or even few months, find good new altcoins or DeFi projects, why mining when it's a seasonal based opportunity? Miners have been in loss since 2018 and this time things change for them, imagine all the wait, some are forced to shut down their mining rigs and farms
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: September 03, 2020, 07:58:44 AM
It's easy to find out which ICO project is serious or not because right now every new projects prefer IEO but for a new project to use ICO then the team must be sure that their project is special and will surely be demanding too
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your advice on: September 03, 2020, 07:53:45 AM
Also figure out what makes a project better than others, this way you will know which project deserve to be hold for many years to come, make sure you check these

1. Team blockchain experience
2. The project partnerships ( must be big partnerships)
3. The project use case (utilities)
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your advice on: September 03, 2020, 07:51:05 AM
Been seeing great men in here, some legendary and some hero members, some with high ranks. I love to aim high. I'm just making my way into the world of Cryptocurrency and I need the advice of each of you all. So my way into it can be very okay. Thanks in advance.
You have less experience about crypto projects so it's safer if you invest in Bitcoin and top 10 altcoins in the market presently, if you feel like you aren't having enough fun then I suggest putting a halt into any crypto investment plan you have and learn about crypto safety and risks management first
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HDD Mining better than Gpu mining ? on: September 01, 2020, 08:34:06 AM
I would rather run a bitcoin full node, you can do research on that, I believe it's way better than mining coins with GPU or your HDD, also it's electricity friendly than mining, apart from the cost of your setup electricity won't be a problem
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HDD Mining better than Gpu mining ? on: September 01, 2020, 08:32:09 AM
Which is more convenient and better in terms of profit and investment? Mining coins ( POW ) or using HDD to mine ( POC )? I heard that you can mine coins like BHD and Burstcoin with HDD and it doesn't consume electricity like that on GPU or Asic mining, I need some info on this fam.
I'm sure you haven't do research on POC mining, it's a total bad news for many as per their reviews on the web, you must have a stable connection, the more you stay online and continue mining Burstcoin the higher chance of solving a block to get paid, I don't like this at all
