hi team, i read this thread every day... however i cant seem to find in the 168 pages, where it said how to clean up ur wallet... also there a a few things i would like to know where to find them... like where do u see coin-age and coin pile... and is there a command list for the console tab in the wallet so i know what to type... thanks dev team....
                                                                     mugwarh

u mean coin-control
u activate it under display option
then u can see in send coins tab a select input button
thats coin cointrol
there u can see all ur address your coin pile and how old they are

its not required to do any "clean up" diamond code should handle coin grouping by itself
so if u not 100% sure what u do dont do it
worst case u can destroy a lot coin age by moving coins around u kill all their coin-age

i myself managed killing like 500DMD worth of coin.age by wrong use coin control
yelling at danbi "thats bugged" got me the answer thats how it works like in any other coin with coin-control
its for now just a advanced tool without any security net that tell ya u sure u wana destroy xy coin-age by moving coins around

yes we have coin-control (the same code as all other coins with coin-control)
yes we not happy with its basic functionality
but we leave it as advanced user function turned off by default
a improved coin-control is on our todo list

the positive point is other coins force u to soirt ur coins or u end in endless coin pile spolit each time they mint
Diamond code fixed this and its no issue for u

small coin pile older than 30 days will merge together at minting process (up to 100DMD pile size)
and this way counter the endless halving of coin piles

when the is low POS difficulty even small coin pile might successful mint before 30 days age
the they get split again

which is in this case good

its a auto-adjusting system that make sure always enough coin piles existing in network so every possible POS slot will be claimed
but not split coin pile above that leading to endless halfing of coin pile

thanks very much cryptonit Smiley .... i found my way there.... yep its in the "i dont know so dont touch" category... thanks for ur time anyway Smiley

i see i see
a mined and minted coins stats overview in wallet is ur wish

per day per week per month and all time.....

i will check with danbi if thats possible

maybe when u force wallet to do a rescan of blockchain and we implement a code that it cound ur minted and mined blocks.......

lets see what is possible

If that is possible, a simple total minted coins would suffice in my opinion. Could be added in parenthesis after the Balance in the overview tab such as:

Balance: 0.000 DMD (including 0.000 DMD minted)

or something like that.
i like that idea in the balance part that would be cool

I am currently toying with an implementation of settable destination address for change for the non GUI wallet. The GUI wallet has this functionality, via coin control, but the non-gui wallet does not.

The original Bitcoin implementation creates a new address for each send transaction and sends the change there. The theory is, that this will prevent tracking your own change back to your wallet -- but in reality the algorithm is well known and there is software to handle this mapping (all information is public in the blockchan anyway). So the 'privacy' benefit from this feature is highly questionable.

However, by create new addresses (public/private key pairs) in the wallet, it grows with each send transaction and becomes bloated with unused addresses (as the change is later reused/emptied) -- which leads to serious performance issues --- the recent glitch at http://dmdpool.digsys.bg being one -- for about a year, the wallet has accumulated several tens thousands addresses.. and it has resources. Also, you need to create backup of your wallet after each send transaction. Otherwise, if you for example have an 500 DMD amount and send 1 DMD out of it, the change will be 499 DMD -- will sit in a new address which does not exist in your backup... and if you need to restore from backup, you *will* lose that amount.

My current implementation does this:

- provides the 'setchangeaddress' RPC call to set the destination address for change;
- provides the 'getchangeaddress' RPC call to display the current address for change, if any;
- will (by tomorrow) implement -changeaddress, and the equivalent changeaddress= (in config file) to set up the address at startup.

This eliminates the useless growing of the wallet and performance degradation for busy wallets (such as pool, exchange etc wallets).

This feature is independent from the coin control feature to select change address. If you use coin control to set the address, it will override this setting. As it should, because it's only set via interactive GUI.

Is there anything else I am missing? What other change related feature would you like to see in the wallet?
hi ya mate:) i know its a tall ask but i really would like to see a "total coins minted" tab or something so i dont have  to count all the minted coins... lol i would understand if ur rolling ur eyes right now Smiley

hi all Smiley mugwarh here i have a question about the multipool. when dose it pay out?? is it daily or weekly... thanks for ur time Smiley

its delayed because of a error at cryptsy (again Sad )which affected our BTC deposit address
normal each day payouts are generated

(but not for each miner if u part of this payout cycle deepends if ur confirmed BTC in "mining stats" dmd multipool shows a value
(unconfirmed means BTC u mined but which didnt arrive at dmd multipool confirmed is BTC which arrives and will be part of next DMD exchange round))

but now its stuck since a few days sorry  u can expect some big rewards when it starts working again

last time when cryptsy had troubles and we where not able to convert towards DMD for over 2 weeks we then instant converted over 2700 DMD  Cool

its time cryptsy get their stuff fixed and stable

usecryptos released now their API and we will research possibility to use them as target for multipool
but this need some time multipool dev still on vacation need him to adapt API on multipool side

pre switch multipool towards usecryptos we will announce it here so everyone have the chance to fill market there with sell orders

thanks cryptonit for the reply Smiley its good to know whats going on i only just switched over and i havent been payed since... but it looks good for when i do get payed Smiley Smiley love the diamond keep up the good work

hi all:) any clue when the dmd multipool will be working, no rush i only just switched my miners over and it went down, lol, just my luck

hi stoody

its like a streak of bad luck we have too
multipool just started attract new people
towards mining for DMD rewards

it seems now the server hosting the frontend
and the BTC-DMD convertion
did run into technical troubles
that increase the maintenance timeframe

all mining is done external and all mining rewards are save
just the front end to see the stats and the BTC-DMD conversion is at the moment down

will update once i have news

hi mate thanks for the update:) i could see that i was still mining its just nice to see it on ur display...doing well dmd team keep it up

Hello mugwarh, I can see you've found your way to Bitcointalk Forum Wink

From what I can see you're already contributing a lot. Good to hear you're constantly minting, this is great security benefit to Diamond.

What sort of mining rigs are you using if u connect them via USB? SHA-256? or some home made Groestl ASIC USB version Wink
hi mate i got 2x r box 37gh/s each , 3 gawminer fury 1.3 mh/s each, 2x old school butterfly labs 7gh/s each and 2x gridseeds 361kh/s each.. and i will change listen=0 to listen=1 and see how that goes Smiley thanks for ur reply
