I need to learn to explain myself Smiley

I wanna know how the private key works in the whole system not how to do it Smiley

and do you at least know difference between private and public key? because if not, I strongly recommend you to start from here, same principle works across whole IT world..

sorry, but you are asking for advance stuff and details without knowledge of real basics. so study first (you can include https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public-key_cryptography) and ask later, no vice versa.

if you have private key of bitcoin address, you can import it to any wallet like electrum or blockchain web wallet. and blockchain is not official source or something, just one of block explorers, which is the most popular one..

I do have basic knowledge thats why i ask advanced stuff Wink

You said:if you have private key of bitcoin address, you can import it to any wallet like electrum or blockchain web wallet. and blockchain is not official source or something, just one of block explorers, which is the most popular one..

My question is if blockchain or electrum never seen my private key or didnt generate my private key how do they recognize it and connect it to a public address but i already got the answer from previous poster Smiley

{..} It is said that if you create a paper wallet nobody gets to your coins.

It depends on the way you create a paper wallet. For example, if you generate a private key in an insecure device and print it, then there is a high chance you will loose Bitcoins send to that address.

What about the private key? Is it store somewhere in the servers?

No. I think you don't know what a paper wallet is. Generally, a paper wallet is storing Bitcoins on a physical paper/document*.

Private keys are printed onto a paper. If you generate private key using an online wallet, Blockchain.info for example, then your private key is also in their server and in your paper -- doing this is highly discouraged. Don't generate private keys online!

* From wiki.

How does blockchain.info or coinbase recognise my private key and matches it with my address? I think there is a simple answer to it but i cant think of it Smiley

Addresses are calculated from private key and not vice versa. I recommend you to print both address and private key onto a paper when you create a paper wallet. So you can avoid confusions.

Edit:

I need to learn to explain myself Smiley

Addresess are calculated from private keys. Thats what i was looking for Smiley

Hi im not really into programming so i need to ask this question. It is said that if you create a paper wallet nobody gets to your coins. What about the private key? 115  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Banned bitcoin on: August 11, 2015, 04:07:41 AM

The OP, Czechkid, is making a great point. It's important not to completely piss off government in the name of Bitcoin, because Governments and banks have power and power can make laws and influence business.

What if a country made it illegal for a business to accept payment in Bitcoin? Just like it would be illegal to accept cocaine or weed or a person for payment of some service.

If businesses can't transact in bitcoin, how much volume will we really have? And if people can only bitcoin to send money to people, how much value in the currency (the value of its utility) will be lost, and therefore drop the value as an investment?

Thank you finally someone see my point.

People keep writing about drugs and downloading music...in my first post i said to the point that its illegal...there are many things in the world that are banned/illegalby the law yet we still do it. Its ok until you get caught. So if you used bitcoin and got caught youll be fined or sleeping in jail. Smiley we dont want bitcoin to be black market.
116  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Banned bitcoin on: August 10, 2015, 09:24:37 PM
All Bitcoin banning would do is driving the interest up as in people being curious about it and it would basically backfire on their initial intentions which were to scare people away from it, thats why Putin backpeddled and ended up accepting it after banning it.

Thats why they start to regulate it i guess
117  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Banned bitcoin on: August 10, 2015, 09:17:54 PM
You mean just like many countries have banned piracy of music and movies?

We've all seen how that worked out. Same with technologies like Bitcoin. Old industries wish to hold on to their monopoly, but they're no longer relevant. It's not gonna make a difference. You can't stop technological development and advancement.

Thank you, what about businesses not being able to accept it as a payment?
118  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Banned bitcoin on: August 10, 2015, 09:10:50 PM
I was asking what will happen if they ban it!! Not if its possible Wink
119  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Banned bitcoin on: August 10, 2015, 09:09:24 PM
I get what you all mean but you get "punished" if caugh doing anything illegal...drugs, young drinking, killing etc...if they say using bitcoin in any form is illegal and can get fined or jailed than it will happend...so i ask again...what will happen to the price? It would also be harder to introduce it to a lot of new users.

Btw..if the goverment tells all internet providers to cut everyone off they will..or they destroy servers/satelites

Bitcoin is big and dangerous to powerful fiat people...anything can happen Smiley
120  Bitcoin / Legal / Banned bitcoin on: August 10, 2015, 08:49:45 PM
What if some countries just simply ban bitcoin? To the point that its against the law to own it and use it.
