That disclaimer is 100 percent valid and correct. Anything can happen. Testing is being done and an organized deployment list is being maintained as this project evolves. I believe in honesty, integrity and transparent risk management.

I am not worried about the launch, however I want all investors to assume a small amount of risk (as any investor does when making an investment). Notice, I cap investments to 20 mBTC (with the primary objective of maintaining a fair distribution as well as the secondary objective of minimizing investor risk). Thank you for observing that disclaimer and adding it to the discussion.

I want to add that I won't be online 24/7! I have a day job and this is my pet project. That said, I will post my availability in the OP everyday so you know when to expect replys to your BTC investments, free share requests, and forum questions.

Ah! I just got a solid email from another participant related to your question. Here is my reply:


No problem, good question

Take 5 million coins..

At the time of that posting, we had issued a total of 222 shares.

Divide 222 by 5 million = 22522 coins per share

Multiply that by 40.. and whalla! 900900 Coins

Your coin allotment will decrease as more investors participate, as well as free shares are issued.

The math above in your post technically adds up to 4,999,731. The numbers will firm up when registration closes.

Remember!!! As more participants enter, the number of shares increases. As the number of shares issued increases, the number of coins issued (per share) decreases. The issuance is variable dependant on the number of participants. IPO purchasers can have up to the purchasing power of 40 free accounts. That said, the more people who invest, the "less" valuable each share is worth.

That said... the more widely distributed the coin is... the more valuable it becomes. I'd rather end up with 25k of coins that are heavely distributed than 250k of coins that are lightly distributed.

The free distribution will take several days to facilitate. The IPO coins will be distributed immediately. The exchange that I have been in contact with (coordinating details now, not a minor exchange, and I don't want to list it out of respect to the operator until confirmation has been made) will be expected to keep the market closed until all IPO coins have been distributed. The gradual deployment of the free coins will prevent a flood of coins within the first 24 hours, keeping supply tight.

As far as future developments are concerned, I seek the participation of the community to further the development of the coin. What I offer is a fair distribution. I aim to prevent the lopsided advantage multipools and asics have over the average miner. It is up to the community to team up with us and direct the course of the coin as they see fit.

I guess you could say we aim to make the most "democratic coin" ever released!

Yep! I am populating a list of approved accounts. On distribution day (after IPO investors have received their coins), I am mass emailing all participants. They will forward me back their MorCoin address and I will begin the distribution.

Hang tight tonight, I will be updating you with more details, information on the share system, and updating everyone on how many coins they will be issued based on the interest so far.

-wallet is released on the launch date. IPO coins will be distributed first, with the free coins to follow. I am off for the three days following the IPO and will have ample time to perform the distribution.

-total shares issued are divided by 5 million coins and issued accordingly. The number of shares increases by the number of participants and IPO purchases.

-the IPO model has a tight ceiling. I am looking for funding (and am being transparent) while limiting large purchases to keep the coin fairly distributed.  I am also going to provide myself a 40 share stake in the coin.

-this is totally free folks, purchasing shares is not a condition to participate! If you have a small amount of risk tolerance You can purchase up to a 40x increase in the number of coins you will be issued vs the free model.

-Share issuance will close on Sunday night. Paid coins are delivered first (in order of purchase size) and exchanges will be told not to open markets until the paid distribution is complete.
