101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to the world of crypto on: March 07, 2022, 05:01:20 PM
Now can be a good time for you to start investing if your investment is going to be a long term kind of investment.

I don’t think the market would go any lower than it is right, it’s still going to be anywhere close to that range, so investing now wouldn’t be a wrong decision. Invest now in the market and HODL, you’re going to benefit from in the next few years when the market goes up.

You can as well use the strategy that’s called DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging), that way you invest over time, maybe monthly or so, this way you get to invest at this different levels, instead of going in all at once. Good luck.

103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who creates more impact in bitcoin price the Hodlers or Investors? on: January 26, 2022, 08:40:07 PM
Wait… Hodler and Investor??? Isn’t these two the same thing? When you say A Hodler, you’re still referring to someone who is an investor, the right way to say this would have been between long term and short term investors or day traders, in which case I would say that the both of them makes impact in the market.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a long term (Hodler) or a short term (day trader) investor, in one way or the other you’re contributing to the market. We need long term investors would invest in the market and keep it solid, and we also need the day traders to increase the volume of activities in the market.
104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking Profits on: October 24, 2021, 01:19:55 PM
what is the best way to take profits? I'm confused if I should take my seed out and leave my profits to climb, or if I should take profits out every time the price climbs 25% to 50%? Which way is more profitable, or does it even matter?
Your profit booking should not be based on what market is doing but you must look for where you have bought and how much profits are realizable then you may go for booking profits. If you are going to get anything higher than 5%, then I guess you can go for booking profits. Usually 10% profits on each and every trade should be regarded as a good trade still 5% profits per trade is not bad to have.

Taking profits requires such frankness, many traders desperately want their profits at the moon while not having a suitable rocket launcher, wasted quite a bit of fuel for flight and no harvest
I agree. We should not remain greedy while closing a trade. We should obey what technical analysis is saying. If we are not following as per technical analysis then we may lose our capital as market fluctuations may eat all the unbooked profits at any time.

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what's with "axie infinity"? on: August 26, 2021, 06:00:44 PM
Let's see what happens with it in the future but do not forget that people are making more and more and more and more axies every single day, there is no limit to how many axies there could be, right now the breeding costs are a lot but that is covered by the amount of people who are willing to buy axies and make money with it.

The extra purchasing comes from scholarship where people who have a lot of axies could just distribute it to other people and get returns on it, you do not even have to work yourself, offer someone 50-50% deal and you will get 50% profit without doing anything, all you would need to do is put the initial money in. After that they will work for you, so it makes sense to invest into it. This is how people are still buying axies right now, you could have 100 of them and have 30+ scholars working for you, making ton of money. But there will be a moment when it is not going to be easy to keep on buying, and that is the scary part, in a year or two everything will drop because of this problem.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is not a rival of Bitcoin on: August 26, 2021, 04:27:09 PM
maybe if ethereum have same supply with bitcoin , king of cryptocurrency will be ethereum. From supply and smart contract feature enough for ethereum to replace bitcoin . so far bitcoin be top coin due its technology in ledger which is be pioneer in this market.
If the king was decided by the size of it, elephants would be called the kings not Lions. Even if ethereum crosses and gains more price than bitcoin I will still consider bitcoin as the real king of crypto because nothing can deny the popularity and sentiments that come with bitcoins are superior to ethereum.
I guess there is a fine line in there somewhere, yes I would say that even if ethereum passes bitcoin and if it is a little difference then I would say that I wouldn't really change anything about it. However, when we are talking about bitcoin one day going down to a whole new level like it is not even in the top 100 because something shocking and horrible happened? And meanwhile ethereum became the new first one because of it?

In that case even if ethereum falls down, like ethereum becomes 50 bucks but bitcoin becomes 2 dollars? Then I would not say bitcoin is the king. Obviously we all know it will not happen like that, only case for that would be someone finally figuring out how to hack any wallet they want and if anyone could have, they would have already so I think it is quite impossible, but that doesn't change the fact that bitcoin one day could have a big technical problem that drops it, I would consider king only in that case.
109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is point of Tehnical analysis? on: July 13, 2021, 03:00:58 PM
Sideways trends have proved that technical analysis doesn't always mean anything.

About a month ago we hit 30k, and TA is constantly predicting a breakout up or down, usually up, but instead the market crabs sideways, something only a few people predicted, and most of them didn't use technical analysis to figure it out.

TA is such a pointless endeavor in a market that is so controlled and volatile by the current BTC price action, especially if it is dependent upon the behavior of whales.

What do you think about it?
Like you have said there: being dependent on the actions taken by whales. That goes to show you that cryptocurrency is volatile, but that’s not to say that technical analysis is useless in the market. No it is useful, but since the market is also being influenced by other factors, that makes it difficult to difficult to actually predict the market by using only technical analysis. You will have to be considering those other factors as well.

There are people, especially day traders that are using technical analysis and fundamental analysis to predict the market everyday and they are using it to make income.
110  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 11, 2021, 01:44:44 PM
I would expect that they have some sort of support posting here when issues happen, but doesn't seem like they really care about our community.

That's a weird snipe. I can assure you that they do care about our community otherwise they wouldn't keep telling me to do more and push more by giving back to our community through various promotions and campaigns.
Supporting this one , I have also experience the said Issue recently but I manage to wait and check support and within a day things goes back to normal.

And also why Would Roobet continues to Spread advertising and also Promotions(With Good amount of Winnings in each events) if they care nothing about the Bitcointalk.org community .

Being a Regular  Roobet and Duelbits Player/gambler, I vouch for the two companies that they are doing everything to Sustain their Good name and community here in Bitcointalk and outside.
I do agree that they are actually caring for the bitcointalk community, I do think that they have a bigger population coming from other places but the reality is that you can't always communicate with them with ease. For example, let's say you put on a google ad (not sure if crypto casinos can) and then you get a lot of people, these people found you from the google higher ranked number one ads, how do you think that it will be easy for you to actually come up with a way that you could talk to them?

There is really not that many chances that you could do that, which is why I think it is obvious bitcointalk is a community that would get a lot of attention because you are at least getting yourself heard here as a casino. Sure twitter could be another one, hell do a facebook group if you want to, but bitcointalk is the niche king when it comes to crypto casinos.

But I would like to ask that even if users do internal transfers you guys will be able to track them internally through your database right ?
Internal transfers doesn't really have to go through the blockchain. It can simply be implemented just on the database level and tracking each transfer with a consequent transaction id.

I get people claiming we didn't pay their withdrawals every day. A simple link to block explorer showing the coin is in the address is absolute proof that they are wrong. Showing them an entry in our internal database doesn't prove anything.

Then when you add this:

I agree with you but Freebitcoin has to be careful with families. Oftentimes "families" are just one single cheater in reality...  Undecided

It would a huge avenue for fraud and abuse. You can put internal transfers down in the category "never going to happen".
Internal transfers definitely deserve to be in the "never going to happen" zone because it is seriously a very difficult place to handle while also keeping everything secure and never having a problem. Think about it this way, who says there isn't a person with 20+ people in the house?

I mean it is not common I agree but I have heard or read about families who live all together, with 20+ people basically being grandma, grandpa, dad, mom, kids, uncles, aunts, maybe even their kids and so forth all getting together in one house. In that case are you suppose to allow these people to all have accounts? If you do that, and they are all same IP, how do we have any clue that some guy doesn't start 20+ accounts? This way people could grind literally 100 bucks out of just the faucet, and that is only the faucet, do not even get me started on all the other things they can possibly do. It is seriously impossible.

115  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network on: October 22, 2020, 07:45:27 AM
Since PayPal is going to be accepting cryptocurrency then I think everything already worked out for us in this community. Every platform around the world, whether shopping or whatsoever, is accepting PayPal, and that includes Amazon, eBay, many of them as you can think of, and now PayPal itself will be letting buy and sell crypto with their platform, that means we have gotten what we were asking for all these years.

I am saying this because so many people has been saying they want Amazon to accept Bitcoin as payment, it’s not Amazon that we want, it’s PayPal, though that’s if they don’t charge ridiculous fees.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Darkside Hackers donating Bitcoins on: October 22, 2020, 07:10:08 AM
Sometimes it’s not all the hackers that are bad guys, some of them are just doing it to punish the elites who are the real world villains. This is not the first time I’m seeing stories like this, I’ve seen people who indulge in activities like this as a way to get something out from these stingy rich guys and use it to help the poor people.

Although sometimes it’s bad because some innocent people get caught up in the situation and lose their own money. All we need is a better world and nothing more. But I wouldn’t care if the bad elites are the only ones being affected, except the good ones that are fighting for a better cause.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google news is spreading FUD on: October 21, 2020, 04:35:32 PM
I noticed google news is saying some older BTC addresses are liquidating, and we should be afraid of BTC stability and viability..

Me thinks this is FUD being spread by the bankster crooks.
It’s not Google, you should mention the name of the website. I make use of Google news too and what it does is to generate news based on your interest. So, if Bitcoin is one of your interests you’re going to be seeing be seeing any news on bitcoin, whether good or bad.

Hence, you should have checked the website that posted the news and then copy out the link. That way we can as well take a look at the news and see what it’s really referring to. And just one news like that cannot be enough to cause FUD in the market, it will keep growing.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin and bitcoin high transaction fees on: October 21, 2020, 03:45:20 PM
I don't understand , I live in india and here we can use UPI like google pay and phonepay to easily pay money within seconds and a touch and no extra cost or transaction fees is taken . But when i try to ay with bitcoin like 1000 ruppes i have to pay around 120 ruppes in fees to get the transaction done in 10minutes .  So for a order of 1000 i have to pay 1120 ruppes and also wait for 10minutes for the transaction to be done .

So why is bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency more reliable or disruptive if it cant even help me in paying a simple small amount . Can somebody lease elaborate what i am missing here . Thanks in advance
I also use other payment methods, and I also use BTC. The fees I pay in BTC doesn’t bother me much. It’s just like the last transaction I did using Bitcoin as of this week, around $200 and the fees was very small, I think I paid $0.22 or so. The transaction came from abroad and I then had to move it to an exchange and that’s the only fee I paid to sell it and then withdraw the money to my bank, I got $199.

Bitcoin is good in some ways, it all depends what you’re doing with it. When I am shopping online I make use of virtual cards. Everything has ways they are useful, just use them the right way, you can’t be using Bitcoin for everything.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My best investment strategy on: October 20, 2020, 06:44:29 PM
The best technique for building a strong crypto portfolio is to mix things up.
Survival in this market landscape is reliant on adaptability.
you choose what to do depending on how we see the market.
Sometimes you buy and hold for the long term, other times, you take short time trades to get big profit.
I Also take some calculated risks on new projects BTC
Yeah, it relies on the kind of situation we find the market when we are investing. I buy cryptocurrency sometimes and the price will go up within a short time and the profit I will be seeing will be more than what I had as target, I sell them to withdraw that profit and plan for another time to buy.

It is not a must that you’re going to buy BTC all the time at whatever prices market is trading, it’s good to have strategy and know when you’re to get in. But, practically every crypto enthusiast must have their own strategy on when and where to enter and exit so that they can find themselves profitable.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis will be new normal but its not bad on: October 20, 2020, 05:27:10 AM
For how long are we going to continue being in crisis?. It’s totally wrong, but as you said 'there are elites who are benefiting from the crisis, in one way or the other, and the elites most of them are our politicians. Most of these crisis are benefiting some of our leaders the corrupt ones, and they are mainly the ones sponsoring some of the crimes you see that takes place, it’s a means for them to embezzle money Embarrassed Sad.

That's why they have strong Military power!!
They know that people might not like them but Military will keep the law and order anyways.
The military is the power of the government and they can use it to oppress the people. One of their tactics is putting fear in the people and making them doubt themselves and what they can do. It’s just like what’s happening in Nigeria now, it has been trending on Twitter, but imagine that the people gets angry and decides to react, it’s going to be really bloody for the government.
