101  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 23, 2013, 05:47:07 AM
He's all over the place with conflicting information. He's rich then poor, then "millions of bitcoins" friend bails him out, then he has to sell. I'm fucking dizzy here! This was a scam from the start or mental illness from the start. Maybe a bit of both. Well, what does lukasbradley think?
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why we bubbling up? on: January 22, 2013, 03:37:26 PM
Here's my speculation. Infiniti poker is going to be as big as pokerstars ever was (bye bye seals with clubs). Some pro poker players are buying in, hoping that demand spikes once infiniti (sp) goes live.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why we bubbling up? on: January 22, 2013, 03:08:41 PM
what are "refunds" mentioned as "mega+refunds" in similar threads.

Help an old guy out.

You're not fast enough to get any accepted shares. Sorry, try an alt coin like litecoin instead. Burnside is a good pool for litecoin.

Speculate! It beats waiting for the FedEx guy. (He's not coming today)

110  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping / change of owership / refunds etc. on: January 14, 2013, 12:29:31 AM
So, what is the best way to request a refund?
Is there a Personal Email available? PM on Bitcointalk?

Tried the website, but I'm doubtful.

thanks.

111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be at CES2013 (Official Thread) on: January 14, 2013, 12:23:10 AM
That helps us piece together the events. Thanks.

If I haven't said it before, congrats on becoming a father. I hope all is well on that front.

I've never interacted with Dave from BFL, so I can't speak to how competent he is.

It sounds like Dave relayed the story to Josh and may have missed your intentions for being there.

My suggestion is to let tempers cool a bit and have Josh on your podcast sometime AFTER BFL ships.

It would, of course, be more entertaining to cointinue the drama, but some of us are more interested in facts. Now back to your regularly scheduled trolling.
112  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet between mrb and Micon (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 13, 2013, 10:41:50 PM
Micon,

About BlackPrapor's sig... he was one of the first FPGA MiniRig orders. The FPGA lot all shipped a while back. BFL has been fairly good to some who ordered back at the beginning of 2012. BP, are you in the black yet? By my calculations you should be.

The other signatures you see are leftover from a weekly drawing on the BFL forum that has run its course. People are just being lazy about changing it to something else.

If you'd like a primer on BFL's history PM me and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be at CES2013 (Official Thread) on: January 13, 2013, 10:35:13 PM
Trying to see through the malarkey, I hear you.

First question for you, Micon. Can you elaborate on your interaction with Dave on the first day you went to CES? There is some contention on what actually happened. Stomping around exclaiming "Its just a box with fans!" and dropping the F bomb is something you're purported to have done.

Also, the fake badge thing, well it makes you look less credible tbh... Not that you had it, but that you got caught...

But anyway, if you could just address the accusation about your behavior on the first day you visited CES.

I watched the video you put up and my concern is you are offended by your interaction and looking for a fight at any cost so that you feel you've gotten revenge.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be at CES2013 (Official Thread) on: January 13, 2013, 10:02:51 PM
Make your case Micon. Do you expect your conspiracy theory to have legs or just blowing off steam?

I'm on the first round of pre-order deliveries. I'll volunteer to report in if y'all think I'm worthy enough.

Same here.
117  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: January 13, 2013, 07:59:39 PM
See, the difference is I'm not crying and whining to moderators to get BitSyncom out of here.  I certainly welcome him trolling in our thread.  If I were to come over to the Avalon thread and start asking questions, he would bitch and moan and complain to the moderators.  I'm just pointing out the hypocritical nature of Avalon, not saying I want him to leave by any means.

I do love how he's taken to trolling BFL though.  I wonder what that portends for their 19th shipping date with nothing to show but some paperwork.

Still waiting on that evidence of a working product, Yifu.

So what's the hard date josh? All you do is keep changing the subject when asked.

I was told by Dave, live at CES the 1st day I went there that they were shipping in "a couple of weeks."  Based on his body language that have used the past decade to determine poker bluffers and other interpersonal situations, I believe this man to be lying, knows he is lying, and generally dishonest in the way he spoke to me. (http://www.jnforensics.com/#!books/cnec  Joe Navarro, former FBI agent writes amazing books on this subject and I credit him partly for what I look for in other humans telling me what could be lie and what could be truth)

When I go back the next day to find what the actual hardware BFL brought to CES2013, of course this happened, Cue'd to when the BFL rep so rudely curses at me and hands me a quarter:

http://youtu.be/UlWrmIqGs3Y?t=2m40s

I can only imagine the pain felt by those with pre-orders to see the man who runs this company act in such a way on the CES floor convention floor

Please elaborate on the points of contention between Josh and your accounts.
118  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet between mrb and Micon (are BFL ASICs real?) on: January 11, 2013, 10:56:08 PM
Micon and I expressed willingness to place a personal 1:1 bet between each other, identical to http://betsofbitco.in/item?id=665 , that is:

Quote
Butterfly Labs ASIC is real and will achieve 350+ Mhash/Joule

At least one ASIC-based Butterfly Labs product will demonstrate 350 Mhash/Joule  or more, at stock frequency/voltage, at room temperature, for a sustained period of time of at least 60 minutes, with appropriate current-measuring equipment on the device's power input(s). Power consumption shall be measured by adding up current from all the device's DC inputs (12V jack, USB cable, etc.) It will not be measured "at the wall". The purpose of this bet is to avoid wildly varying efficiencies of power adapters and computer hosts. This bet applies to all ASIC-based products that Butterfly Labs will deliver to the general public. This includes the "SuperComputer" family (Jalapeno, Single SC, Mini Rig SC), as well as possibly any unannounced product that the company will be shipping by June 30, 2013.

This statement is true if, for example, the Single SC achieves 40 Ghash/s at 114 Watt or less (40000/114 = 351 Mhash/Joule) as measured with a clamp meter on its 12V DC input and 5V (USB) input.

This statement is false if all Butterfly Labs products fail to achieve 350 Mhash/Joule, or if Butterfly Labs fails to deliver any product at all.

mrb: agrees with the above statement.
Micon: disagrees with the statement.

We would each send the same amount of coins to a trusted third-party escrow. The winner takes all.

Micon:
- you said you would bet at least 10 coins. But can we raise the stakes? 100 BTC? 250 BTC? 1000 BTC?
- a list of escrows we could trust: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0 - I have personally escrowed hardware sales with Graet in the past (operator of ozcoin) - I would also personally trust nanotube who escrowed a 10000 BTC bet in the past
- I suggest we tip the escrow operator with a fee of 1% (taken out of the total amount escrowed) or 1 BTC (whichever is higher)

1)  we are going to have to work on the statement we are betting on.  Something like "BFL will not ship all pre-orders by 7/1/2013" is something I'd like to bet against.

2)  I feel we are going to come to a wager for sure.  I'm willing to bet 10 btc against the above statement right now.  Escrow will still need to be found

3)  My wife just gave birth to our daughter on 12/27 so I don't have a ton of time right now, please don't take my inaction in this thread as a sign that I'm scared or don't want to bet.  I will give this as much attention as I can.  I usually have a few hrs of daddy-daughter sleeping on my shoulder time and occasionally puking on me (I really don't mind it) during this time of night when I give her mom a rest and can msg-board it up for an hr or so.  I'll check in semi-daily and we'll hammer something out soon IMO.

Micon, would you like to restate your position on BFL, because as it stands I believe you're convinced 100% that its a scam.
