101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best way to sell in 2021 — to buy more on the bear on: January 25, 2021, 09:55:32 PM
It's a good idea but you should be prepared with a proper prediction and also you should be aware that it might take long time for Bitcoin to go back to $16k to $20k, and it might not happen as well. But sinde its highly volatile there are possibilities as well because we used to say Bitcoin will never go below $5k but it eventually did in 2019 and similarly it may not look like Bitcoin will go down anytime sooner but possibilities are always there. I would request you to think again whether you wanna cashout and then buy at dip or else do daily trading ?
I think so too, the current bitcoin market already has a fairly strong foundation with many large parties holding large amounts of bitcoin. I'm sure they don't want that the price will fall like in 2017/2018. it may take a long time or even 2022 we can only see the next market cycle, although everything still feels vague
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you in panic whenever there is a big drop in price? on: January 25, 2021, 09:51:52 PM
There is nothing to be panic when a big drop happens in price because I truly believe that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will change our world some day. There will be a day that cryptocurrency become so famous that you cant even buy an ethereum with your annual salary. Therefore, I am always feel confident about bitcoin as well as other alts. The drop is only a result in correction. A long term investors do not need to be nervous
Declines in prices are a common occurrence and will likely continue in volatile markets. For the current situation, I believe that bitcoin may not drop as drastically as it did in 2017 (due to the large number of big institutions investing in bitcoin at the end of 2020). I'm sure they won't let the price down so easily
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi seems to be hot right now! What do you think about the future of DeFi? on: January 25, 2021, 09:46:26 PM
defi as for me is much more healthy than ico and ieo. if it will be regulated - i think a lot of valued defi and have a nice future. i believe in credible dex projects - volumes are increasing and tech base is likely to be much better than year ago
Maybe they will have a more secure structure, because all systems are decentralized. I'm not really sure about the regulations regarding the defi platform, so as investors, we just have to hope that many defi platforms are able to provide safe and reliable investment tools for everyone
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always consider and be a wise investor! on: January 25, 2021, 09:43:36 PM
Every investor wants a huge return and that's why you seem invest even in projects that seem not to worth it. Majority of the projects are overhyped that even the investors doesn't want to do more research. But wise investors will take extra cautions and do the needful because it's not about the profits, it's about the investment.
What I mean is, never forget the basics of investing, like doing research (DYOR). it is a mandatory thing that must be done by everyone before investing, especially in the crypto market where everything is fast paced and has a high fluctuating market, of course we all don't want to regret it at the end right?
105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2021, 09:51:57 AM
-Start with your own cash and don't rely on loans, cause trading won't give you 100% to gain profit.
-If we are talking on BTC only and not other coins, Always plan out your play (your way in and way out)
-Don't be greedy, keep in mind that 20% is still an income.
-Avoid getting jealous if you sell too early, cause it is part of your plan, and you generate profit so its all good.
Loans for investment for retail investors are so bad, I wouldn't even take that scenario even though the probability of profit is high. always buy what you can afford, never push yourself. Crypto is very volatile, so you have to have goals and also set targets to gain profit (don't lose momentum and opportunities to gain profit)
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adaptability is very important on: January 24, 2021, 09:42:44 AM
yes, with adaptation we can find out how things are around and of course will have a lot of experience from this adaptation process, keep learning wherever you are.

Also, adaptability helps you to get used to any market trends, be it the bull market, the bearish market, or the inconclusive ones; If you can blend well with the market; it means nothing would shock you or come as a surprise to you, as long as it involves crypto currency market.
adaptability is great for determining the next decision. I myself still have poor adaptability, because I still often do early selling. not because I'm new to crypto, but with high volatility, I was impressed to lock in my profits, so I wouldn't be exposed to future losses
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Avalanche surpass Ethereum? on: January 24, 2021, 09:38:51 AM
Don't forget that ethereum has an active developer community which you can't find on a similar crypto protocol. In addition, most of the components offered by Avalanche have been covered by ethereum. ethereum also has a large number of users, and I don't think they can easily shift to avalanche where not many are familiar with their technology
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the things to look for when buying Altcoin? on: January 24, 2021, 09:35:39 AM
Currently, if you want to buy any altcoin, it is very difficult. You can't choose an option quite easily. Also, the crypto market is currently volatile. In such circumstances if one wants to buy altcoin. So what should be the main focus?

I'm usually going after MVP (Minimum Viable Product) or partnership with at least one very well known player in the industry. Then I'm moving to tokenomics (is it adequate) and then to the team. The team should have at least working LinkedIn profiles (to more about them) and best-known in the community.

It's a risk versus reward game. If you don't have the time to do the diligence, stay with the Bitcoin.
Thank you for the insights. I usually focus on the team's backgorund as well as their development on the products they develop. If they don't have a team that is relevant to the industry, I probably won't invest in those altcoins/projects. because the possibility of failure will be high, besides that the activity of the team in building products must also be researched, are they serious or just want to make easy bucks
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where were you? on: January 23, 2021, 10:16:40 PM
In hindsight it is very easy to see when you should have bought and when you should have sold your coins but things are never that easy, when the effects of the pandemic were felt in this market and we saw that crash in March that gave a great opportunity for those looking to buy coins at a cheap price the possible repercussions of the pandemic were still unknown, now we know that it is way worse than the seasonal flu but it is not as lethal as we believed at first.

So people back then that may have had the money to invest in it decided not to do it and kept their cash in case they needed it.
In addition, they also have to consider their money in the long run, because this pandemic is seriously disrupting their financial lives almost completely. no one expected that the market would rebound this fast and high, and since predicting a bullish market was almost impossible, if they knew that there was a chance to make a profit, I'm sure there would be lots of people buying it at that time
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH break it's ATH? on: January 23, 2021, 10:11:48 PM
Ethereum is hampered by its huge fees. Coins have long been predicting a great future. Ethereum is no less promising than Bitcoin. I think today's ATH records are not the limit and ETH fans will be surprised when Ethereum actually breaks its own record.
Huge fee issue is still a problem to be solved, not die hard fans but with this huge fee issue will make a lot of fans difficult, and considering that ethereum is the number 2 crypto with a lot of users, I'm sure it will be quite difficult to get new ATH if this problem still surrounds them
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin I should investmen with 5k dollars? on: January 23, 2021, 10:05:03 PM
I’m going to advise you to buy BTC & hold until at least 2025. Many alts can give you amazing gains but you would be playing the shitcoin roulette if you throw 5k into random alts. Buy BTC & guarantee yourself profits.
Bitcoin is the first choice and always comes first, maybe you can wait for the Dip price and add Ethereum, XRP and Cardano as a portfolio, I don't know but because I think these three altcoins are very suitable for investment
112  Economy / Economics / Re: Will President Joe Biden be good for business? on: January 23, 2021, 10:02:32 PM
Usually President from Democrat party are pro Free Trade person, so may we can see some agreement between Countries which will impact good in the economic. Also, the relationship between China and America maybe will have more friendly relationship like Obama before. If this happen, it will make good Economy competition between them.
Bro, are you sure that making friends with China will have any good effect? This is just my opinion, but I don't think it will be that easy. Currently the two countries, America and China have a relationship that is not good enough and also high competition, I only hope that Biden is able to make a regulation that is useful for the country's economy and also makes it easier for business people to run their businesses more easily and smoothly
113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Extreme greed on the market on: January 23, 2021, 09:58:55 PM
Hey guys,
By recent Fear&Greed Index bitcoin is in extreme greed area, usually it's a sign of decline in price or even crash. I've been observing this index for quite some time and find it pretty accurate, of course it doesn't give you the exact day or time but it indicates the sentiment on the market. Do you ever use this index in your trading analysis?

These indices are indicative, they cannot be taken as a measure of commercial decision, it can be seen, for me the best thing is to study the volume, in the volume is the information that few see, I would trust much more the news than those indices.
Bitcoin is heavily influenced by trends, and even most new traders use the infuncer on twitter as their benchmark for making decisions. I'm sure the index is quite useful in certain respects, but not in a comprehensive way and more on the specifics and in the short term
114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do so many people lose their positions due to Bitcoin's decline? on: January 22, 2021, 09:41:55 PM
Many lose their portfolios because they are just glued to the news especially from social media, social media should not be a reference for making a decision in trading either when buying or selling.
This is very important indeed, but believe it or not that most people who have just entered the crypto market are very easily swayed by rumors. especially if some whales are moving the media with PR, they are immediately doing something too much and should not have to do if they intend to invest in crypto, the point is that new market movements are still quite volatile and fragile
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Take Advantage ,, on: January 22, 2021, 09:37:02 PM
I think there is still a possibility that the market will recover even if it is not in a fast time. if you see that almost all prices are very much influenced by the price of bitcoin, and now the price of bitcoin is gradually recovering. so maybe we should be more patient waiting
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: invest into alt coins after every all time high? on: January 22, 2021, 09:34:43 PM
Investing in any cryptocurrency is risky because there is a high risk of losing your money. It is very difficult to predict how the course will behave. And if we take into account the fact that the cryptocurrency does not yet have the legitimacy everywhere, then it is not possible to return the lost funds.
Investing is always risky. what matters is when do you invest? if you invest in an altcoin with already high price (maybe almost ATH or even already hit ATH), I think you're just wasting your chance to profit from other investments. therefore, investment timing is also very important
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Tether go into crisis like XRP? on: January 22, 2021, 09:30:03 PM
I think its possible. They don't have 1:1 dollar backing. They are printing more and more of USDT without backing. Its just a matter of time
Yes, this has been a very hot issue lately. And I guess if they can't prove it, of course they are in pretty big trouble considering that Tether is a "stablecoins" that has almost twice the volume of bitcoins
118  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami mayor considers investing in bitcoin with public funds on: January 20, 2021, 09:20:59 AM
Diversifying your investment portfolio is a great idea.

Investing in stocks and bonds is currently quite risky.  After all, the economic situation in the United States and in the world is not very good.  Bank deposit accounts offer zero interest rates.  At the same time, keeping funds in commercial banks is also risky.  Therefore, it makes sense to keep part of the investment portfolio in Bitcoin and gold bars.

Therefore, the proposals of the Mayor of Miami seem absolutely reasonable.

The main thing is that the acquisition of Bitcoins with government money does not contradict US law.
I guess just for now it becomes more risky to keep money in the bank. actually according to my current understanding, the safest investment is the gold bar, because its value may not be able to decrease on a significant scale. and I think it's just a matter of time before governments in other regions will announce their interest in bitcoin, when bitcoin is getting known and gaining trust as a good investment, that's where bitcoin starts to become a trusted investment
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum ATH just surpassed $1440 and dettached from BTC's price coupling on: January 20, 2021, 09:16:06 AM
...But Ethereum, I believe, may cost $ 2,000 in the near future, otherwise the altseason will not work! But just in case, today I brought a part to fiat.)))
Ethereum has a much greater price growth potential than $2000. It is enough to look at the ratio of the price of ethereum to bitcoin to understand that the next high will be at the level of about 4 thousand dollars. But to do this, you need not just to exceed the previous price of ATH, but also to gain a foothold over it.
Yes, I noticed that the current decline is just a pullback. I think we will see a pretty good price increase over the weekend if bitcoin is able to maintain their positive trend. will that 4k come true? let's wait for it
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: January 20, 2021, 09:12:32 AM
Only YFI is the only altcoin that can exceed the price of bitcoin, Since being traded globally on July 21, 2020, YFI has increased rapidly, even some time ago YFI was listed as the most expensive coin, but slowly Bitcoin managed to shift YFI position as the most expensive coin in the crypto market, the bitcoin has demonstrated its quality as the best coin ever, until now there has not been a single altcoin that has been able to replace the bitcoin as the king of the cryptocurrency.
Yes, yearn does have a high price, and for your information now the price is lower than bitcoin. YFI has a relatively low total supply and when compared to bitcoin in other aspects such as market cap and 24h volume, YFI is still very far behind from bicoin
