If this works out, not having to buy power supplies, and the ability to sell the miner in the future helps
Time will tell

Okay, I will bite.

I would like one sp 20 for 399.00  I will pay the 50 later to have it shipped to me.

I will pay the 2.90 hosting per day.

I want a month to month contract, with options to keep the miner there for at least 6 months.

you agree to under clock at my request to 1.92 day.

I can remove my miner before the 6 months are up if I give you notice

I will post on the forum all of my interactions, how long things take, and what kind of ongoing service I get.  Including downtime.

I want a phone number as well as an email address for support.

I wish to pay with credit card.

Would I have access to my miners?  How long can someone keep a miner hosted there?

Thank You

I noticed last night that one of my S5s was not working, and sent a note.  This morning I looked and it was only hashing at half speed.  I sent Lee a note and Within the hour I received a reply that he had replaced my miner with a new one and it is hashing away.

great service.

Now I am digging in the couch to find some loose change to buy more machines

OgNasty and Valkir,

I 100% agree with you that we need to keep the mining decentralized.

ASICSPACE is not in control of the rigs that they host, they make it available for people like me that want to mine at a larger scale then I can at home.  I have control of my rigs and where they mine.  As do all of the other folks that have miners hosted there.  I am trying to get up to 30th and that I can not do at home.  I mine on the pools I want.

I pay them to host my miners, they provide Maintenance, insurance, cooling and electricity for the money I give them.  They are in business to make money off the miners and not by mining.  To me is seems a win-win, I help keep the network going, and they provide the space for me to do it.

Everyone is saying home mining is dead,  Well I know the noise and heat got to me rather quickly, but I see the importance of having independent miners on the network  Robert and ASICSPACE sees that as well, if home miners give up the big guys win.  Robert is just providing miners with a place to hold the miners.

So I consider myself and others that host with various co-location services as home miners with a very large shed out back, with  all of the power I could ever use.  We are in control not the people that host our equipment.

Hi,
I have hosted my S4s with them.  They were operating within hours of when they received them.  They have offered me tours of the building and I will go after the roads are better.

As to the risk, life is a risk. I don't depend on the mining money to live on.  If the whole thing crashes I am out a few K, but if coin goes up I am going to be in place to capture some.  Lets face it, if you are going to wait for the coin to go up then get in you might have a few surprises.  Miners will become hard to find, and more expensive. Look at the last spike Bitmain quickly raised the price of the S5s and have not dropped it.

I am not wiser than anyone but I thing there is too much money in new investments in BTC to let it die.

I can remember a long time ago I was playing with Vic 20's and Commodore 64s, there was another company named after a fruit, I was younger and I knew everything, I could program the computers. I listened to others, we felt that other than games what good were they.  Besides with all the business were using mainframes.  Why would a home user ever want to have a computer?  We declared home computing dead before it ever started.

I had some k to invest, and decided to put it in the company that I worked for and not Apple.  A few years later that company went bankrupt and my stock became worth 0.   Every time I look at the price of Apple I cry.....

I could afford to loose the money then, and I can afford to now, other wise I would not be playing here or in the market.

I wrote this to support Robert and ASICSPACE  I could mine at home for less, but I want to have more miners than my Condo can handle,
I could find a old office, upgrade the power put in AC.  But it is cheaper to put them with Robert and let him deal with the issues, my miners are insured by THEM and not me.  My temperatures are all in the 40's.

I also have miners in my house, and I have rented miners in another place they are hashing on my pools.  I What I am saying is I am mining, covering my expenses, and having fun.  So if it goes up, Great if it crashes, I will survive, my grandkids while not get as much but I will have taken a swing at something that I felt was the next big thing.

Remember Babe Ruth also held the strike out record.

Happy Mining and thanks Robert for risking all and building a place so close to me.

hi,
My S4 would boot up and then not hash on Slushs pool.  I went in and set the difficulty to 2400 on the pool side and all is well, Just a thought

I KNOW THIS IS AN S4 THREAD.  However, not much going on at the S3 thread.  So, I'm bringing this question over here:

Has anyone bought an S3 lately and noticed in "miner status" that you have four (4) fans listed when in fact your S3 only has two (2) fans?

Look at mine:

>clip image<

Also, my S3 will allow me to adjust the voltage like an S4 does.  My S3 will not RESET properly either.  So, I was wondering if BITMAIN installed S4 software on my S3?

Has anyone else noticed this on a new S3 they have purchased?

He he, 4 fans-a first glimpse of S5 (flat or double decker)?  Grin
Predictions: 3 times more chips (underclocked), 2-2.5 times higher GH (hopefully, 1TH), 0.6w/Gh with voltage control for further underclocking to 0.4w/Gh

It still makes no sense to display 4 fans on my S3 that has only 2 fans.  I'm having problems still with one board shutting down after a few minutes.  So, I switched to two PCI-e ports I haven't used for any length of time except to see if they would work.  Let's see how long the board stays up now.  I got two new S3's along with four (4) new S4's Wednesday, last week.  Had them not even a week and I'm starting to have problems with a PCI-e port on an S3 I believe.  Neither S3 will reset properly!  And they appear to have the wrong software installed on them; meaning S4 software for four (4) fans that can also adjust the voltage.

My C1 display shows 4 fans and a C1 has only 1 fan.

Just a note,

I under clocked  S4, running 0650 and 125 pulling 690 at the wall hashing 1195 avg .  All is well, Sound much lower.  Of course the C1 is much quieter than either the S3 or the S4.

Also I am having trouble with the Ethernet connection on the S4, sometimes when I reboot it comes up with 127.0.0.1.  But is showing not lights on the connector.  A wiggle or two will get it going along with a reboot..  If I bump the cable while it is running it will start beeping and quit mining.  Again wiggle it.  I have not had time to look into it further, but that is a problem going forward

Barbara

Help me understand why you would under clock the S4 this soon. By not at least hitting the 2THs you're making it extremely hard to ever make ROI. I was also thinking about under clocking my 4 units but I think I still need 2 to three more months to get to my break even, at that point I will down shift.

Am I missing something ?

You did not miss anything, I did it because I live in a fairly small apartment, and the noise from the S4 was just too much.  Fans were running at 3800 + could not carry on a conversation.  Now the fans are running at 2880 all the time which is livable.  I also have a S3+ and a C1 all new last month.  I do not even look at ROI, I just set aside X dollars to play with and this is what it is this time.  I like tech and being retired I have time to play.  I have built Hi end computers in the past just to set speed records.  So don't listen to me.  This will actually pay me back better than the money I spent on building computers.

Enjoy what you do or don't do it is my motto

Now do I add 3 more C1s with the four way cooler?  The C1 is very quiet.   Smiley

Thanks everyone, I got both the C1 and the S4 working, now
to try and slow the S4 down some

ive seen that before, you need to get your sdcard reconditioned, use the following program:
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

then try with a newly downloaded image file...

Thanks I have tried that several times.  Dogie says to put the whole file uncompressed on the card, I have tried both ways still down, but I got the C1 running because a kind someone sent me the actual image from a card that was working in a machine.

I really like how quiet the C1 is, I think that might be the way to go,

Now if some one will send a link to an actual img file I would be very grateful.

Just ran some numbers 4 S3+ would cost about   .34 a Hertz while 2 C1s would cost .255 a Hertz, making it a better deal in a smaller space if they hold up  Quiet too.

S4 is really loud for home hosting

I know this one, open up the case, inside you will find a SD card.  Pull out the card an push it back in to reset it. That worked for me and a lot of others.

I have tried that several times.  I am using a new class 10 card, it loads the files on the disk, put it in the miner and just loud fans. But it is drawing 300 watts at the wall.

A member here sent me an img file for the c1.  It copied over perfect, I was able to read the files on my PC, and the C1 started hashing.  It had Dogies pools in it but that was easy to change.  I was also configured for another IP I found that on my modem, and away we go.

Could someone send me a img file of a working S4
