101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: April 08, 2017, 01:07:04 AM
It looks pretty toppy to me at the moment. Maybe we will see some dumps soon and retest $1000.

After that the bull run can continue.
102  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Le Pen leads the polls to win first round!? on: April 08, 2017, 01:04:33 AM
It's scary that she will definitely get through the first round, let alone the possibility of her winning.

Luckily the French system is such that she will (hopefully) he easily defeated in the second round.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Most Undervalued Coin of 2017! on: April 08, 2017, 12:55:49 AM
IOTA - which other crypto has zero fees, is massively scalable, doesn't need miners and has real world adoption?

When it gets listed on CoinMarketCap heads will turn  Grin
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why haven't my transactions been confirmed? on: April 06, 2017, 03:36:00 PM
But if I am guaranteed to get them within 5 hours, that I can live with and I will used the same fee.
There is no guarantee; if you decide to pay low fees, that is the risk you take.

It is rather annoying when you use a service that doesn't allow you to set a fee and it is below the recommended amount.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ASICBOOST Aftermath: What Now Must Be Done? on: April 06, 2017, 03:24:27 PM
Long term no cryptocurrency can survive and thrive in an environment where monopoly control is threatened or possible.
IOTA gets around this centralisation problem by moving the PoW burden from miners and onto the users (PoW to make a transaction). Miners can't be a problem if they don't exist.

This would probably be far too big a change for Bitcoin going forward though.

Has Ver commented on this scandal yet? Can't find anything currently.

This should cause fruther drama in the BTC community while LTC gains traction. Im holding my LTC for the time being, we will see what happens in the following 72 hours, I think LTC is a winning pick right now over BTC.

If I had a position, I would certainly keep holding LTC.
107  Economy / Goods / Re: MYSTERY BOX!!!1 on: April 06, 2017, 01:49:12 PM
This is fun! Shame I am not in the US.

Let me know if you decide to allow postage to the EU.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 100x on: April 05, 2017, 09:51:33 AM
If you are willing to wait for a more reasonable amount of time, then IOTA will surely reach over $1billion market cap (currently on about $60M)

Features:
- zero fess
- no miners
- massively scalable (the network works better the more it is used)
- nano transactions
- billion dollar companies on board
- confirmations in seconds once network grows
- designed to the the backbone of the Internet of Things (a trillion dollar industry in the years to come)

109  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: VirtualPub.io - Run your own pub and bank bitcoin on it. on: April 04, 2017, 08:02:19 PM
Explaining what this site is for might help attract people to it.

Is there a thread you can link to from when it was launched, perhaps?
110  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-30]How Amir Taaki Tried to Build Bitcoin Economy in Syria While Fightin on: April 01, 2017, 10:27:27 AM
One thing is for sure - it is always interesting to read what Amir is up to Grin

He's a unique character and part of early Bitcoin history.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: f2pool starts signaling segwit for Litecoin. Will LTC enable segwit before BTC? on: March 31, 2017, 11:38:21 PM
Good news for Litecoin.

IMO this is what it should be used for; trialling new features and innovating. It can road test and iron out problems in new tech ready for Bitcoin to implement.

Although, imagine if Bitcoin becomes so stagnant that the Core devs move to Litecoin Wink

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need help Storing LiteCoin on: March 31, 2017, 11:34:39 PM
This is your best option.

Though I would say that it is very unlikely that an offline only computer would be infected by a carefully used USB stick.
113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good platform/website to learn trading/read graphs on: March 31, 2017, 11:30:21 PM
Rather than using the charts on exchange sites, use one of the following as they are a lot easier to read and interpret:

https://cryptowat.ch
http://bitcoinwisdom.com
http://shitcoincharts.com/

Hope that helps Smiley

114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin rally pops altcoin bubble on: March 31, 2017, 04:51:52 PM
About eth, it's most likely a bear trap. Too many important news are coming for the drop to be real. Raiden in a week or so, EEA mid april, okcoin will also most likely add eth very soon, and then there's alphabay's may news.

Buy rumor, sell news, you know the drill. litecoin went temporarily crazy with zero news. the alt rally started with the etf denial and hard fork fud no matter what the individual coins have in the pipeline.

There's a difference between the rumor/news that are all about hype and no substance and the real news. Raiden alone, if works as intended, will beat any development made in cryptocurrency in 8 years ( except for ethereum itself).
Sounds interesting.

How many transactions per second is Raiden promising?
115  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why isn't public transport free? on: March 31, 2017, 04:50:47 PM
When cars and buses are fully automated with no need for drivers, costs will come down.

Then we could see them possibly becoming free at the point of use.
116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good platform/website to learn trading/read graphs on: March 29, 2017, 06:04:13 PM
Thanks I will take a look. If you have other tips, do not hesitate  Wink
It is very easy to make bad trades immediately after a big loss. Best to sleep on it and look at the situation again with fresh eyes.

This is a really good site that can teach you a lot about the art of trading.

Good luck and only gamble what you can afford to lose.

120  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price fall.Where will it stop? on: March 25, 2017, 11:38:15 AM
Short term bounce here, then I think we will stop in the $700s somewhere.

Bear market may take some time  Undecided
