dude, even if they buy the address they can't sign it so it's useless, that's the whole point of signing an address, because that address belong only to one users, unless the buyers and the selelrs are friend that know each other in real life and share the same wallet

I'm fairly new to bitcoin and the intricacies of signing accounts, but whatever I can do inside a bitcoin wallet, I can enable someone else to do. I'm not special in that sense. The only thing unique about me (other than my staying power in bed and exceptionally long penis), is my face, fingerprint or retina scan and dna. Only one of those are practical to endorse trades with

doesn't this completely undermine the integrity of trust ratings?

unless they manage to scam more than what they've payed for the account, there should not be a problem, the problem can occur if two users decide to scam and collaborate

i want to explain it better, if two users buy two account with high trust, for whatever reason, one of the two can do the malicious escrower for the second which result in the possibility of steal a big amount

maybe it's better to use only official escrow that have signed an address

But someone could buy the bitcoin address too as part of the package. The only way I can see to avoid this is if the seller is willing to do a brief video chat/hold a physically signed message in front of a camera unique to each sale.

Anything else can be transferred to the new owner, anything but not the sellers face.

105  Economy / Services / Re: Absolute anonymous and convinient way to cashout BTC at ATMs in Thailand on: July 20, 2015, 12:37:28 PM
If you add an escrow this might actually work. But not the way you try to do it now without one. Bitcoiners are quite aware of the risk your offer is posing. Too many scams happend already.

Im not getting the thing with the code but probably thats something thailand related.

I think that would probably work something along the lines of the UK 'quick cash' that some banks offer. Its a service for people who have lost their card really, and lets them request a one-time ATM code which lets them withdraw up to £200-£500 (I forget what) at a time.  The OP could be offering to give people those codes to let them withdraw directly from his account, which is in itself quite a good idea as long as its not breaking t&cs of account use.

The OP could be genuine but I would not advise anyone to try and find out. This service needs two things and then it could be quite successful:

-An escrow or proven track record
-Quicker availability of funds

A frustrating amount of rubbish spouted in this thread! I suppose I am more used to tighter nit forums where the people who don't know, don't speak.
I hate to generalise since theres been some useful and well deliberated input on this thread, but some of the posts are just people saying words that they think have something to do with "investing"

116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't Skrill mind if you receive funds from so many accounts? on: June 23, 2015, 07:27:50 PM
Skrill doesn't support any currency exchange type business ........ it stated in their TOS

In the US and I believe the UK (where Skrill is licenced) BTC is viewed as an asset, not a currency
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Debit Cards: A Real Alternative? on: June 23, 2015, 05:56:09 PM
For those who don't care about remaining anonymous and don't care about centralizing their personal Bitcoin (depositing Bitcoin onto an ATM card would be a form of voluntary centralization), it might be a very convenient way to spend their bit coin. At this point, I would be extremely leery of any ATM cards. The major payment processors (VISA and MasterCard) are not open to the idea of Bitcoin and could force the card issuer to stop excepting Bitcoin deposits with little to no notice.

I don't see it likely. First of all, they do directly benefit from this form of bitcoin activity, second of all, it would be very bad PR for them, and last but not least, if they did that, they would be possibly facing anti-monopoly actions and large fines (in some countries, where their lobby is weaker). You cannot just deny service because you don't like bitcoin, you'd need a better reason for that (and money-laundering/supporting terrorism is not a case here, since there's no anonymity).

This is exactly why you cannot withdraw BTC deposits into Neteller with their Mastercard. Mastercard forced their hand.
118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good ways to invest Bitcoins on: June 23, 2015, 05:51:28 PM
I think the question might have been better phrased as "what are the best ways to cash out bitcoins, into any other form of asset?"
If one has a lot of bitcoins and does not wish to receive cash in hand or cash to bank for them, what other ways can one cash-out?

The gold bullion bars were a great example, they can then be stored in a security box.
The Stocks which are held in dollar currency so they do not rely on Bitcoins future were another good one, although one would still need to cash these out via BTC presumably at some point in the future which would rely on sufficient liquidity (maybe a problem if BTC flatlines)

119  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: need skrill - Paying Bitcoins 30$ on: June 17, 2015, 10:54:32 AM
careful who you deal with, Skril is reversable if a) funded by CC or b) AC owner claims he was hacked

120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good ways to invest Bitcoins on: May 30, 2015, 02:42:16 PM
Renceny launched website bitgold.com might fit you. You can buy gold there using BTC.

Bitgold looks awesome. Need to see what the fees are like on ATM withdrawals before it gets a 10/10 but seems great Smiley
