101  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BitcoinPool.com open thread on: April 05, 2011, 01:50:21 PM
Ive been monitoring poclbm-mod since the drive to remove those with low efficiency

what i'm seeing is that it continues hashing the current getwork after it finds an invalid/stale share
should it not get a fresh getwork after finding bad results Huh

I also tried using poclbm-mod for cpu
First off my hash rate on the cpu was 20% of what pudinpop's rpc miner were
my results also showed that after the first longpole block change  most block changes were missed
resulting in mostly invalid/stale shares being found

This is NOT a bitch or complaint against the pool or the operators
Just my findings - Yours results may differ

102  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BitcoinPool.com open thread on: April 03, 2011, 08:53:53 PM
I'll see what happens over nite
for now since the eff rate went into effect
I'm getting more return with slush and his crapshoot for my cpu's
than here with my gpu
103  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BitcoinPool.com open thread on: April 03, 2011, 07:53:34 PM
It is my opinion based on experience, not an attack.  I am sorry if you share a different opinion.  That is why we have freedom of speech.

Don't feed Troll's

Yes you are entitled to YOUR opinion
STOP shouting fire with out any reason WHY

Typical troll --- especially in a new thread

We know Your opinion ... Who Cares
104  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Thanks Fairuser & beegee on: April 03, 2011, 01:52:53 PM
geebus if you had read your own thread before locking it
you would see I'm already using it and seeing quit a number of invalid/stale shares
In preperation for the coming change

I still had a few cpu miners running on faster machines
All you needed to do was announce the change was taking effect so people with cpu miners could be shut down Not cut them off late at nite

Fairuser said an efficient cpu miner would be made avalible

By the way you miner shows far grater efficiency than those posted in stats

105  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Thanks Fairuser & beegee on: April 03, 2011, 02:50:28 AM
I see nothing wrong with this, their pool, their rules, rules can be changed at any point.  So long as they are not holding onto any outstanding balance of yours I don't see why they are required to let you use their service.

They are holding funds...that have not been confirmed
Yes it's their service Which they changed WITH out warning
that's the bitch -- no warning get that
caused me problems when my miners stopped
they did not do as they said they would...

ie that this was coming in the future
Not in the next few hours
and would provide something for cpu miners to stay

instead they dropped users flat out

106  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Thanks Fairuser & beegee on: April 03, 2011, 01:48:49 AM
proof?
of what .. you trolling

Fairuser and beegee shut off all users with less than some efficency that they want
look at the stats
no warning - no recourse -no as they said they would do option for cpu miners
AFTER locking their thread
just being the FAIR people they are

I am NOT a happy camper

what other PROOF do you need
107  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Thanks Fairuser & beegee on: April 03, 2011, 01:25:36 AM
I take all your posts with a grain of iodine-131.
AND THAT IS  what excuse for Fairuser & beegee

Stop being a troll
108  Bitcoin / Mining / Thanks Fairuser & beegee on: April 03, 2011, 01:13:35 AM
For kicking us all off
We played by YOUR RULES
and ... got dropped
no warning
no why
so much for being FAIR to your users
109  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (160Ghash/s) on: April 02, 2011, 10:55:05 PM
What's with the invalids AFTER they are started as confirned

they should not start with vaild confirms and not give credit later as invalid blocks

WTF

It is network convergence, where we solved the block and submitted it to the network and someone else solved the block and submitted it to the network except they are on separate sides of the P2P network.  Being P2P, Nodes near us accepted our block and nodes near the other accepted their block.  Eventually, the network converges and the solved block with the earlier time stamp wins.  Our block lost.

This is why it takes 120 (now 100?) blocks before payout.

More BS
Either its a good block or NOT
now it takes  .. 120 0r 100 confirms before it is really a confirmed block

ok you can back out on the confirms ... after they start
something else new

I switched to YOUR miner
It's throwing invalids - stale  wtf

my efficiency is up ...  pay is the same ..  SO???
this is the great hoha here for efficiency

I'm not seeing  it

edit[]
Another 2 invalids

edit again
more invalids

If anyone wants to work out the maths to back me up or disprove me feel free to do so

The maths is called "Average".

Math is math
show me the money
all this POSSIBLE cheating is you worry warts just wining
If you can get a few coins extra do it
if not STFU  enough already
116  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [NEW POOL & MINER] - BitcoinPool.com - Jump In! ~NO FEES~ :) on: April 01, 2011, 02:15:43 PM
Any chance of windows 64bit binaries of your modified miner

I had no problem running the binary on 7 x64. I don't think a x64 binary would gain anything more.

When I run it on 7 x64  the commamd windo just sets there showing nothing

Edit []
IT was the sample-bat file -- start /low -- removed that and it works

bobR u asking me or Xeon? and those suggestions are up to pool owner if they become a problem. I think people dropping out could be general computer problems too its really hard to maintain a gpu at 100% for a long period of time without something happening
Xeon on the rant

as for gpu up  ... it works or it don't
gpu maintain suggests Huh
your playing with it ??
or doing something unusual

119  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (160Ghash/s) on: March 30, 2011, 09:29:45 PM
put a bounty like 25% on late enters ... if you not in the pool for the long haul you get penalized
don't penalize early shares

And who should pay that bounty ? If you give late enters 25% more you're gonna have to take that from the early ones no ? Which is exactly what is happening now. Or are you suggesting slash should pay the bounty out of his own pocket ? I'm all for it btw. Cheesy

The problem I'm having is that lately in slush's pool a lot more shares seem to be needed per hour. It's very consistent. I was getting a lot less than I should have working 24 hours a day with a 5870. Compared with depbit for ex., for the samples I checked, about twice as many shares per block (with similar times to solve) seem to be needed.  Nobody noticed this besides me ? It's like slush is working with a much higher difficulty level than deepbit...  Undecided

ok i did not mean 25% bonus I ment take away %25 of their earnings ...add that to the pool
