101  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: February 23, 2013, 09:28:43 PM
I'm thinking if I post the addresses and the holders are forum members we are reasonably confident aren't Nefario, they could somehow demonstrate they do in fact control the address, and then I could send the coins on. I have no idea how that demonstration could be accomplished. I'm a bookkeeper, not a developer.

Ask people to sign a string containing their e-mail address and/or forum account name with their claim address. They will send you the clear string and the signature. You can then verify that the signature matches the string using various tools. Satoshi Bitcoin client does this.

By the way, you could also ask people to re-submit to you their GLBSE claim addresses, however since addresses are pseudonymous, posting them here would also be acceptable.

Can you please explain better what we have to do? It seems neither me nor CHM know what all this means.

Okay, that sounds workable if I can figure out the verification bit. I don't have any of the emails associated with these addresses.

Thanks.

If this list is about refunding everyone 100%, first thing I'd consider is checking the list in the OP of GLBSE Payment Claims thread to identify those addresses that are still waiting for their remaining 10%.

Yet, the sum of the missing 10% from that list is tiny, compared to still pending refunds (e.g. friedcat alone is still waiting for ~1.7k BTC from GLBSE).

Your best take to verify the remaining addresses would be to post the list here and let forum members confirm via PM which they control. If those who believe their address is missing on the list also PMd you, this will give you already a quite reliable indication of how legit the list is. The only issue hard to resolve are those addresses from people not frequenting the forum or completely left Bitcoin scene. Most former GLBSE asset issuers donate the remaining funds after some wait period.

I did all this recently to repay my former investors and resolve the mess GLBSE left behind. It is a PITA lot of work and I feel sorry for you now being responsible for cleaning up mess you did not cause (alone). Good Luck.

I've only been holding a portion of the total deposits that there were. As such I only have 4 addresses to deal with, so this isn't too cumbersome. Nefario has all the records of everything else. I don't have access to any of that and never have. I have no idea what proportion of amounts owed to the addresses he gave the amounts he asked me to send represent, and no way to find that out. Given that this is the first time Nefario has responded to/contacted me since October, I would be surprised if that information were forthcoming.

That said I guess we'll do it this way. If your GLBSE payout address is one of the following please contact me so we can figure this out via memvola's suggestion above.

Hi,

I am the owner of 1PPyh5DtEkW45MHzdub3zKC3Z5NWmjALjH and I am really happy to see that adress here.
Please tell me how we can proceed. I have full control over this adress and my registered email adress here is linked to this adress on GLBSE.

Just to counter all of the anger in this thread, I was able to get in touch with Quentin via email and have some questions answered.  I then prepared the appropriate documents and had them scanned/emailed to Quentin for approval.  A week later, I had an account with Virtual Processing Solutions and access to all accrued dividends, and of course future payouts.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to go with a paid upgrade or a free upgrade, but at the very least I have access to the assets that I originally purchased.

Well, seems you are a lucky guy who lives in the US and can easily and with little cost get the required documents. What if it would have included paying 150€+ altogether, a week of burocratical trouble and some maybe illegal techniques?
104  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: January 31, 2013, 02:58:46 PM
I wrote another email to Quentin on January 21st. Guess what, he just ignores me. I am not even sure if this guy exists. But I know that I gave you BCs to finance your operation and you hardly refuse to fulfill your part of the contract by simply forwarding me to your not responding so called lawyer!
This is criminal and nothing else. You have my adress and my email in the list you got from GLBSE. Pay my outstanding payments!

Hi bixcoin,

If you feel that Quentin is ignoring you, then please email me directly and I will contact him today to make sure he gets you an answer.

james at gigamining dot com

I have not refused to pay anyone who has taken the time to follow the claims process. Payments are again being made on Monday's to those who have done so. I have/am fulfilling my obligations while making sure Gigamining is around to continue to do so.

Best,
James

I did also send another email to you 5 days ago, no answer.
105  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: January 31, 2013, 02:56:52 PM
I've been to see a notario here in Spain today & just as I expected the whole thing is going to cost over €100, (not including my time & travel costs) in fact I had to pay €107 = over $145 of money just wasted as gigavps knows my claim was correct & valid but still insisted on this, it's now being sent to Barcelona for the apostates of the docs in English & Spanish plus of my passport which is going to take a week to do, anyway as soon as I receive it back I shall email it to both you & your lawyer where I expect it to be processed fast & efficiently so that I can take the paid teramining upgrade if that still seems to be worthwhile - I never had any answer from your lawyer, just you eventually telling me that I would have to get this done, so over one month was wasted.

Can you explain me why you would actually pay (paid upgrade) to do further business with a person that acts like that and showed he doesnt care for you?

You can say this, but then again, there is no proof. Anyway the original deal didnt say anything about this claims process. It is also not only "taking time". You are asking things from me that are partly illegal in my country (like sending a copy of my ID) and costly. I am not even sure I will get the money from you that I would have to spend forehand to get all these documents you are asking for.
Since this is a complete online operation, it is absolutely exaggerated to ask for more documents than needed for opening a bank or paypal account.
There are defenitely easier ways for you to find out our identity and assure that we are the owner of those bonds, but what you are asking is just one step away from asking to come by personally and sign whatever it takes.
Your lack of understanding that this is not what people agreed to when they gave you money in the first time, shows that you dont even care about those people who financed your operation and only want your own ass saved.

What is the percentage of payouts you are actually sending and what is your excuse for keeping the rest of the money people trusted you with, people that cant provide the things you are asking for, for different reasons? Again I say there is a word for it: theft!
It should be you who does everything possible to get your suffering supporters paid and not us to spend extra money and time and do illegal things, just to get what is ours!

107  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE Payment Claims (Announce your payment here) on: January 25, 2013, 11:15:22 AM
Has anyone been in contact with nefario recently?

I'm still owed my BTC that were in my account obviously.

I got a email about some shares of NYAN I had, lol.  It is strange that he is doing anything at all.  Does it seem like you should just go full blown scammer or make things right?  I guess it is a lot easier to deal with the assets as they have basically no value to him, while the btc he has stolen has lots of value.

This really hurt the community.  We all knew we were going to lose our coins in the investment programs running around, but GLBSE seemed like a safe bet as they were making money with a decent business model.  The face of the company attended meetings and seemed reachable to the public, now he just gets to run with our funds without recourse?

Hurt the community? I offered several times to put 100BCs in and gather some more from other victims to take criminal charges against James. First time months ago. Almost nobody of this "community" wanted to go through with it. I was even called an idiot because I said James wouldnt pay.
This didnt hurt the community. It shows and screams to everyone out there that its a community of wankers and idiots that dont deserve better than beeing stolen from.

I claimed payment on Dezember 26, with a copy to you James. I did not get an answer from you, nor your lawyer.
My Gouvernment (Germany) say it is illegal to copy or scan my ID.
Also, as I made clear before, all the things you guys ask would cost me estimately 150€. I am not even sure if I get this much as a return.
Its ridiculous, your so called lawyer doesnt even reply, and if he does, it's just the standard text from your website.
Is this the way you treat people that trusted you with their money?
I am really dissapointed and cant believe there are people still investing in your operations.

Hi bixcoin,

I apologize for Quentin not responding. There were technical errors on his end where email when to spam unintentionally. Please re-forward your request.

Best,
James

Last update on the blog says

"Most BTC has been paid out (small amounts still need to be done), and asset holder list updates will be sent out to issuers tomorrow."

That was Dec 13 titled "Payments made, asset list..."

So I hope he is still planning to make 'small' payment amounts

which people are still owed.

http://blog.glbse.com/payments-made-asset-list-updates-coming-out-t

I am still owed 70+ BC. This is defenetely not a small amount. Anyone disagrees?
RHA, can I call it a Ripoff then?
111  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE Payment Claims (Announce your payment here) on: January 09, 2013, 01:51:34 PM
Keep the "stupid" for yourself.  Several thousands BTC have already been returned to community, so one has to be stupid to call it a rip off.
Still so sure?
Still.

Hey RHA,

since you are so sure, we all are getting paid, can you give us a timeline?
Anybody heard anything from James in the last weeks? Did anybody else get paid?
When exactly am I allowed to call it a rip off? Only when James oficially states that he ripped us off?
I'd really like your thoughts on that!

Can sign, no problem. GLBSE says you already have the information. Since all the other issuers have it, its likely you have it too. You should check all yours and Kris' emails.
114  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MMM Mining Investment GLBSE 4% Weekly Interest on: December 18, 2012, 04:28:47 PM
Hello Kilcondlost,

I am sorry for your accident and your rather tragic story. I will hold my lawyer back, there is no reason for me to do anything like that if you keep responsive.
But I did tell you before, and I thought it was understood, that it is VERY important to stay responsive in this situation! We are all in a similar situation here. My losses are far more than yours and I have been treated like shit by everybody involved til now.
Now you didnt respond emails, even though I could see that you logged into Bitcointalk almost everyday, and Russel (you are Khelion, right?) canceled my friendship on facebook a couple of days ago. That and the lack of information at all doesnt really help to build trust. You understand that?
Also I understand that there's two of you. If you were in an accident, why didnt your parntner inform us?
Enough about the past though.
So you shut down your operation, is this right?
You said you are in the process of liquidation. Does this mean you are selling your equipment?
Did you get the shareholders list from GLBSE?
How much you think is the payout per share?

115  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MMM Mining Investment GLBSE 4% Weekly Interest on: December 15, 2012, 12:06:05 PM
long silence, suggests that the bixcoin are correct in his assumptions. just can not understand how your lawyer will help the cause?

I have their data and my lawyer is filing a case for breach of contract.
116  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE Payment Claims (Announce your payment here) on: December 10, 2012, 12:28:03 AM
Had 16 different shares or bonds, 4 of the issuers already answered (not gigamining at this time). So Nefario forwarded the asset information.

But I never got parts of my cash, about 130 BTC. Nefario did not answer on my email.

Same here. I've mailed james@GLBSE.com, but he hasn't responded a single time.
It's pissing me off to be honest. I feel like I'm being treated like dirt, even though I've used his
site many times, essentially making him money. Pffff

same here. 250 BC in the game. why dont you guys join to take legal action?
117  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MMM Mining Investment GLBSE 4% Weekly Interest on: December 08, 2012, 07:22:17 PM
It seems MMM people are gone with our Bitcoins. They received the list from GLBSE and just dont answer us anymore. I had send them an email a couple of days ago and also nothing.
Please PM me if there is any other victims. I have already talked to my lawyer and likely will take legal action against some issuers.
Seems MMM wants to be one of them.
118  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE is offline We will update our users on Saturday. on: December 05, 2012, 05:56:35 PM
It's likely I will consult with a lawyer before the end of this year. I know a guy who tends to be on top of things.

However, I'd also support the idea of pooling money for legal action. How do you propose to do this?
1) We need to find a lawyer who has a good understanding of the matter and who is preferably located in the same jurisdiction as Nefario (UK)
2) We need to create a trust fund to pay any legal costs
3) Need to organize and gather information from the victims. That means that we need a spokesmen.

There seems to be an isolated attempt from gigamining, and it seems to be directed towards shareholders, not Nefario:
http://gigamining.com/claims.html

You are right here, but I think we need to gather people who are willed to join first. Than we talk out the details.

Two months later and I still have not received a list of shareholders  Angry

nefario will probably only give the list to the larger asset issuers who would be more likely to afford lawyers to come after him.

No, he will give a partial list to the assets who pay significant dividend, where are he can mix into his own made up identity to steal the shares. As the list is not complete, so logically that the asset issuers and holders cannot find any solid evidence for his stealing. And he did not give the csv trading history file, so you everyone is questioning in mind or publicly against each others' honesty, forgetting about who caused the chaos intentionally.

Exactly what I think is going on. As time goes by, chances to get anything back from Nefario are getting closer to 0. He is spending our money for making a living and has probably already contracted good lawyers with it, too.
I have already tried to gather people to take legal action, but you all preferred waiting for the wallet inspector to give your wallet back then.
I would still go for it, if we can gather at least 10 victims with at least 1000BC altogether to pay for a good lawyer to at least see this guy behind bars. It can all be done with escrow and everything secure. It all depends if you guys really actually want to do something more than giva a ridiculous scammer tag for someone who is actually f..king you big time.
I throw in the first 100BC.
