Will Today etc will arrive in 0.0008?   I do not think the ETC will drop that low today. It might drop slowly against the ETH in the next few weeks until big whales step in to buy. |

It simply means there is so much ether in circulation right now, ethereum is not going off the scene anytime soon, to the dismay of some.
The Ethereum has strong community support and it is financially rich. So it can support the development and improve the smart contract platform quite a lot. I think there are still good support for the Ethereum smart contract system. The PoW hashing rate is also very high now. The POW hashing for the Ethereum ETH is at record level at the moment, it shows the miners confidence in the ETH. The ETC hashing hate has reduced slightly. |

R9 290 uses 45watts.
This costs (in UK) £0.10 more each day.
The extra SC (SIA) is worth £0.27 more each
Therefore, not really much reason not to Dual mine, plus there is an extra 2.5 Eth at pool each day.
Is that for one 290 card that you get £0.27 more each card? So the extract earning is £0.17 per card. That might not worth the dual mining. |

My electricity price is high. So I use the platinum power supply and also a big specication PSU, so that the efficiency is high.
Saving 1-2% over a gold PS isn't a big deal if your electric price is DOUBLE what most bigger miners are paying. I suspect my electric would cost less if I used an 80% efficiency power supply than yours would for the same rig using a TITANIUM (93%+) efficiency power supply. 1-2% can be quite high if you have avery big farm, but it will also cost you more to buy those psu, and the calculated roi time was very high if your electricity is not very cheap That is right. My electricity price is $0.25, so I use the platinum power supply. But it is too expensive to use the Titanium power supply. |

more intelligent, lol... i bought etc at 80k and sold the first time at 450k. do the math. bought again at 290k and im waiting the next pump, it will come and even if it doesnt... well, my stop limit will be activated and i will have a small lose. again, more intelligent, lol. That was quite good profit. In the next pump, I hope you run faster than the DAO hackers and some other big holders, so that you can still make some profit. |

The network hash rate on etcstats is falling like a ROCK! Not sure what is going on, and it is taking a long time on the commits right now. Anyone else seeing this?
Something is wrong with the pools. They might be DDosed. So it is better to mine the ETC solo. That is much safer option at present. |

Don`t forget ETH sonish will go to scamy POS, miners will be left with only ETC, duno how match BTC Vitalik and team have to defend their forked baby, but be sure miners are not stupid, why to support something that they have nothing from it
ETH will be in pressure to be dumped hard, miners which supported fork will see ETC as better and viable future for them!
If the ETH goes PoS only, I will not mine it. I will just mine the ETC at the time. But I think it will take some time for the ETH to be PoW ony. |

hope this time the price of bitcoin will increase and will not fell down any more. as the price of bitcoin has still so much potential to reach to a high price therefore we ca expect that the price of bitcoin will not fell down any more.
But current trend looks like some correction may happen before it moves up. The prices are more stable around 570 to 590 range as of now but I feel it may touch around 550 range soon or later. In the long run sure prices will go higher but don't know how long it takes. I think so. The price of the bitcoin might touch the $550 soon. That is mainly because the market attention will move the altcoins such as Ethereum and Monero. |

there are charts that you can look at them with daily intervals which is a lot more helpful to make any conclusion rather than numbers alone.
I don't know where there is a readily available plot with their sum. If you have a pointer, you're welcome. My idea was that ETH + ETC is a single market cap of ethereum, the continuation of what was ethereum before the hard fork, and to keep a rough trace of the longer-term evolution of this market cap. A genuine fork splits the market cap, so the sum is the continuation of the former single coin. Today: ETH: $11.22 and ETC: $1.71, sum $12.93 It seems the ETH price has risen a bit in the last few days and the ETC dropped a smaller bit. So the combined price has risen. The rise of the ETH compensated the loss of the ETC. The ETC dropped about 70% against the ETH in the last 20 days. It might drop further due to the overhang of the hacker's ETC. |

It might happen. We need the cooperation from the big holders of the Ethereum Classic, especially the hackers. If the Ethereum Foundation dump the ETC to support its own development, then the ETC price could drop a lot. If the Ethereum DAO hacker dump the ETC to take profit, then the ETC price could drop a lot. |

Okay DAO is hacked ETH coin is rocked. Exchanges have frozen and un frozen ETH exchange.
ETH was over 21 usd down to 14 usd.
A fix has been made. WIll the events make ETH coin a big winner loser or more or less neutral?

My thoughts are if the fix takes just after the BTC ½ ing ETH coin will soar over $50.00

voted for over 50 for eth. I assume that the best scenario is to dissolve the DAO, return all eth to investors, block the "bad" child, make a new DAO (or not). I don't think current DAO will survive. Who would vote for anything there? Nobody. Not doing anything seems impossible. There will be a lot of complains from the "pure", though. wow, i am very grateful not buy this coin. nice info.. The ETC price was about 0.45 ETH around 2nd August. The price of ETC is just 0.14 ETH now. That was a drop of 70%. Are you glad you did not buy the ETC? |

the dao exploiter is out to screw with eth. what could possibly work better for him than the creation of etc? if he's still out there somewhere I think he's gonna get behind it for the lulz. Yes let's see what he can do with 3.6 m stolen ETC and a hash rate collapsing of < 4.5%. Here's a clue... FUCK ALL. The hash rate is 18% of the ETH and the price is also 18% of ETH. So if the hacker dump, the hash rate will decrease. If the hacker dumps then all his coins are in the market now. It will affect the price of course. But after the dump he will have nothing on the platform now. I don't think the hash rate will decrease even if the hacker dumps. There is no connection. There are miners who decided to point their power to the original Ethereum classic despite knowing that there might be a dump. That has not stopped them from mining at Ethereum classic. Most of the miners are in for the money. If the price is low, and the profitability is lower, they will not mine it. That is true. I noticed that the ETC price has dropped recently, so the ETC hashing rate also dropped. In the last 24 hours, the ETC has risen about 20%, and it is more profitable to mine at the moment. Wow, there is so much in that document. We landed on our feet with this Charles guy. He has a good understanding of Business, Computing, Communication, Psychology, Sociology, Game Theory and, the thing that tie them all together, Mathematics. I bet he can play a good hand at poker and play a couple of musical instruments too. I will need to do some in-depth analysis of this expose' but on the face of it, this bloke knows where it's at. In his proposal he mentioned that the difficulty bomb is an issue that should be talked about. My speculation is ETC will be the first one to do a fork to remove the difficulty bomb and it will also give ETC the opportunity to fix the replay attack issue also. After that it would be good for both chains now that they are truly separated and diverging in their own paths. If that is the case, then the miners will support it and the price could rise above the ETH in the future. It will be good. Devs are working hard https://trello.com/b/ZuTNRTsW/etc-bomb-disposalIt may be possible to code out the bomb with no HF needed, it is not clear yet. Remember, that bomb was put there for a reason. To make miners quit and go to PoS. Maybe we just worsen its effect so it does not increase exponentially, but on a linear vector, therefore: it takes effect over years rather than months. Eth still has 4 more forks in its roadmap. I wish them luck in not producing more ethereum clones. As for the replay attack issue, if you use the new Classic wallets you are protected. Things are difficult to predict this year, it is always good to be attentive to news and price.
Yeah its difficult to know if when the price will fall but i think the price of bitcoin right now is already been fall and i think it will fall atleast 520 these month. and the price again will increase more soon.. Price may go below $550 in next couple of days and I don't see price going high in next couple of months, if bitcoin will experience some good new then price will go higher. Any support to your claims or just another speculations? If you can show some support others might come for a discussion. And it's obvious that if bitcoin will experience some good news, there is really a possibility of price increase. If no such price movement will happen after a good news then it's time to think twice.  I think the price of bitcoin will trade around the $570 level for a few more months. There is no good development of the bitcoin. |

I think its already been done and finished attack by hackers.. because the price of ethereum still stay at $11 usd and i think there is possibility that the price will increase again more.. we know coinbase has eth right now.
The price of Ethereum will not rise before we know the fate of the ETC after the DAO hacker got access to the ETC. |

Why you think ETH is scam? It makes so many guys rich, I don't think it is scam, and it is a good token for ico investors, ICO guys love this coin very much.   Huge 1100 BTC support but whale dumped at the peak, nice. The Ethereum also had a hard fork and make many people rich as they can have extra money, the Ethereum Classic. Actually I think ETC is a scam, it is unnecessary, should be void! You can be right. We shall see if the ETC can survive the big dumps by the pumpers and the DAO hackers in the next months. |
