80 doesnt sound bad. I figure new machines will be out soon thus i dont want to start a 6-12 months contract and be stuck if no new stuff is out and s7 is not profitable.

Lies. I was awake. Unfortunately doing server upgrades for sql server and windows. Definitely made the night better though.

Sounds good. Currently running 30th in the basement with plans for more. Been thinking of doing hosting but with the 1/2ing soon might wait till new hardware comes out and stay basement bound right now.

So I'm a little confused about what I am looking at in that order list. If I create a standard order and set it to .0029 will I get any hashrate? Can I tell by looking at that list?
you can filter it to show your orders only. which might clean up the clutter for you. at 29 you wont get anything right away.. maybe late tonight or tomorrow. current active are 32 right now. yes its over market but could be worth the overpay if you find the block. think of the list as a priority list. the closer to the top the faster you will get hash.

what brand of exhaust fan is that? been hunting for a high cfm fan but the max i find for 8inch is low 700
Good catch, it is an Elicent AXC 200B which *is* rated for ~700cfm, I believe I got that confused with the cfm rating of the ductwork (~1200cfm ideally, like more like 1100cfm with the 90's and duct runs accounted for.) Which I will be pushing for with a second fan on the intake side to boost cfm, add in redundancy should one fan fail, and cut down the noise by running each at ~80%. I've played with the idea of adapting in a 10" or 12" fan which would push 900-1200cfm but I can't reconcile that cost, any ductwork over 8" I have to deal with a distributor and that's also a huge pain. ah ok.. i was wondering. all i could see was 700ish for cfm. I have been thinking of building a box around the rack i currently use (home depot $30 special) with a angled top with a high cfm exhaust fan. And then use the 24inch drum fan i bought that does 7700 cfm as my intake fan at ground level to put the air up and out.

that confirms what i assumed. a whole new backplate.
might be able to put a fan on there if you use zipties instead of screws. Find some thin zipties that will fit through the rear screw hole and ziptie it to the grate.

What happen to 12TMhCpLtAWNk8NiWDQ2FDxc9QYvUKWKVy? Did he create an account or left? was a great block finder here......
Mystery man has mysteriously vanished. Gone like a fart in the wind. Perhaps he is doing maintenance and will be back or maybe gone. No clue, hopefully he say the light and will be back but to each their own if he decided to move on.

kind of a hard to compare the 2.
the pool is guaranteed pay based on the pool payout type (pps, pplns). (most pools dont pay block finders any extra)
where as the solo pool is complete luck. you could hit a block 5 minutes into solo mining and be way ahead of the game or never hit one in which case you wasted a lot of money and have 0 to show for it.
depending on what the 2th is from. you could put say 1 th on solo and 1th on pool. or just put both TH on pool and make as many bitcoins you can before the 1/2ing when that 2th will fall off the profit due to new machines (maybe).

So, just got the S7-F1 hooked up and running. Temps are low today, in the 60's so I went ahead and let it ride at 700 and it's holding steady at 59c on the highest blade with .0005% error rate. Going to let this go for a bit as the temps will rise into the 70's next week. I will keep you all updated on how it goes. As for the noise it does seem a bit quieter than the others but since they are all on the same rack it's hard to tell.
Also, the packaging was all updated, new foam, smaller box etc... So this was definitely not just a stop putting one of the fans on redesign
what/how does the backplate look like. is it a completely new panel or did they slap the grate over the old one? (can you screw mount a fan to the back?)

I am all for people posting their work on these forums for others to appreciate or criticize, I just feel pretty strongly it should not take an admin to MOVE YOUR HACKJOB GPU RIGS TO THE ALTCOIN FORUMS WHERE THEY BELONG! Y'know, so that people looking to this topic for pictures and updates of BITCOIN mining rigs can find what they are looking for. I'm pretty sick of popping on here for an update or some feedback and seeing the thread hijacked for fly-by-night ETH miners trying to sell their rigs that any noob can slap together in a couple hours.
easy noobie. This thread is "Pictures of your mining rigs" no where does it specify bitcoin. Also technically since the invention of asics this thread has been off topic anyway since it has turned into "pictures of my little silver boxes sitting on shelf". Calm down. he isn't actively pushing people to his site and he isn't spamming his sales pitches. If anything his and citronicks are the first posts that are on topic of showing off a mining rig that they themselves built and not just bought from a supplier.

but those numbers really say that it's most likely that either the GFW screwed us over or antpoo did.
I'm curious how the GFW would work in favor of antpoo, or by the same token, prevent our blocks from propagating faster (than antpoo's) across the network. Pardon my naivety on this. I would have expected their blocks to be relayed slower and thus lose the race. they sent out 197 and then without proper validation mined 198 which built on their own block thus they won.

Launching a new miner weeks before the halving seems like a bad business decision, I don't think too many people will take the gamble right then. I bet the public release happens in July sometime after the 1/2.
I think it depends on how they are sold. If they are sold for btc i think many will wait to see what the 1/2 does to the price. Would hate to pay 2 btc for something a month later could be 1 cus btc doubled in price.

Its sad but people see 30+ blocks a day and go there thinking size matters.
|
|
|
if this is a fork would be good to know so we can get off the bad path and not lose time mining for 0.
|
|
|
will have to wait to see how it pans out. we are showing 6 now. but antpool keeps building off their own block. would serve them right to have all of them ripped their greedy paws.
|
|
|
if you check the time stamps our block was actually first. 14:29:19 with anthole being at 14:29:31
perhaps the race isnt over? they are only showing 4 confirms on their block. same as ours.
