Exclusive news: Effect.AI is moving from NEO to EOS!.

Effect.AI, NEO’s most used dApp, is migrating to the EOS blockchain! According to the company, this will happen in late April 2019.

Effect.AI cites disappointment in the performance of the NEO technology and concerns about the lack of direction of NEO’s future. After exploring several other technologies, Effect.AI has selected the EOS blockchain as their first choice.

The team initially chose NEO because of promises such as free txs and high TPS in the near future. However TPS remain 14-22TPS, furthermore NEO announced an update of the blockchain that will reboot it from the genesis block.

Effect.AI announces the move to EOS for reasons such as it being more scalable and secure, easy to iterate upon, technologically advanced, and having a great ecosystem.

Over 50% of EOS dApps are used everyday.

According to a research published on LongHash, almost 55% of EOS dApps are used every day compared to just 10% of ETH dApps.

The most popular EOS dApp has around 450,000 transactions about twice compared to the most popular ETH dApp. However the use of EOS dApps seems still low. Only 4.5% of active dApps have more than 2,000 users and 50% have less than 100 users per day.

Scatter wants to port games to EOS.

The Scatter team is searching for games to port to the EOS platform. They are looking for mainly three groups of developers:
- Developers who released on Steam and didn’t see the sales they had hoped for
- Developers who would like to expand their audiences
- Developers who only created a prototype

Porting those games on EOS can enhance their opportunities to receive a bigger userbase and to monetize through in-game unique items, digital goods and collectibles.

The deal with Scatter include licensing the distribution rights, game code and/or rights to all digitals assets like graphics, sounds, and music.

109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future on: February 19, 2019, 05:00:57 AM
I do not really trust this project. It seems to me that this coin will not be able to become very expensive in the future.
If you just talking about the price of cryptocurrencies almost all of them are low price, but if we talk about the fundamental of waves it is good
According to data from late 2018, the gaming industry numbers 2.2 billion active gamers worldwide and generates more than $134 billion annually! It’s also one of the areas that blockchain is most rapidly transforming and creating new opportunities.

Our friends from Tradisys have compiled a detailed overview of current trends in the gaming market, and how blockchain technology will enhance it.

Find the full report and read its conclusions here: https://games.wavesplatform.com/Waves_Research_blockchain_technology_in_gaming.pdf

Basically we must think about the cryptocurrencies in fundamental of aspects for incoming future if it is just the price, will be better on the trading section to talking about it.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Blockchain-based Gambling and Betting Platform on: February 19, 2019, 02:09:00 AM
I have checked the ICO and this project doesnt have any advantage from other bitcoin betting websites expect the thing that they offer a 10% cashback on your bets. They say that they want to create a new kind of betting platform but as i said there is nothing special that they offer so there is no reason to just jump and invest in their project.
It will be dangerous for all of us making investment in their projects of ICOs without any products which can be player by all of us, it is strange for us will be more better and wise making investment in gambling industry base of blockchain which has real of products and community of gamblers in it than making speculations in the new ICOs projects without any beta products of gambling games based on the blockchain technology.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: February 19, 2019, 01:45:18 AM
I do agree that Etc will progress in the long term. Currently there is been a fud of 51% attack on ETC chain etc. As soon as the market recovers, we will see ETC recover well.
Ignore all those boring FUDs, please.
Later months, when Ethereum entirely switch to PoS phase, massive miners globally will switch their rigs to Ethereum Classic.
At that time, it's too hard for greedy attackers to implement replay attacks.
They will have to spend significant cost to do those attacks.
Yes i agree with you should the people learn more about 51% attack on ethereum classic blockchain before making statement of it, for all of community members who want to know more about 51% attack on ethereum classic ETC, here is the good information for all of us

Tomaz breaks down various methods to improve security against such attacks.

113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits of ETF approval to gamble industries! on: February 18, 2019, 02:25:55 AM
Now that news are filter in that ETF is about to be approved by sec, I will like to ask about your views on this.  Will ETF approval affect gambling industry especially the crypto gambling industry?
Well in my personal opinions and analysis the benefits of ETF approval to gamble industry is the cryptocurrencies will be more legal to be used as current for payment method on gambling industry, although the ETF is not regulator of the money in cryptocurrencies at least there is the law on cryptocurrencies space and it will gives good news for gambling games related with cryptocurrencies. The new people will addopt cryptocurrencies in their gambling games.

115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: February 17, 2019, 06:57:16 AM
Winning in gambling isn't that hard. Most important part is not being greedy. Don't take to many risky bets and withdraw your initial deposit once you are ahead.
So we just play it safe with low odds, this method can indeed be done for those who don't want to take deeper risks and this way is good for those who gamble just for fun. Unlike a person who gambles by looking for big and fast profits.

Gambling for big and fast profits will likely get you rekt. People who take high risks shouldn't complain when losing imo.
Yes should the people don't blame the gambling games just because they were losing their money in gambling games because it is part of risk of gambling games, will be better to change our strategy in gambling games for example we must do money management before playing gambling or we can be house to getting passive income in gambling games. It will be more wise than blaming gambling games industry especially on cryptocurrencies.

Documenting ETC’s journey to existence is no small feat. The network may be less than 3 years old, however the leaps and bounds this blockchain has made in that time indicates its true trajectory as the technology continues to be adopted in everyday and business applications. ETC's history can be segmented into 4 core chapters (so far):

Birth - Ethereum network early days
Struggle - The DAO
Recovery - Showing signs of life
Rise - Decentralized teams and growing community
