So that could open the door for poorer country residents to play the game and get rare? Items and sort after items and be able to trade for Jewels and cash in, then being able to buy whatever they needed in real life. That sounds cool

I like the idea of some kind of promotional material where users can get their hands on some free Jewels, I'd be willing to put some of my Jewels into the pot to help that work. Did you see the post a few back that mentioned about and in-game walk in casino, Would that be possible?

Currently this is what our gambling room looks like in Heroes.






The provably fair gambling games will be developed in unity and embedded through a HTML5 compatible web view. Players can access those games from these rooms in our server but those who have no interest/knowledge of our game can also play those gambling games through their own gambling website.


It's worth reminding that the gambling games will be just that, actual games. They will have proper graphics, sounds and effects to make the experience fun for players. Too often I've seen crypto gambling sites that look more like a spreadsheet. While there's of course plenty of people who are fine with that, it's not the route we're looking to take.

ICO has clearly started and you would know that if you read ANY of the thread at all. You don't find an already made game with others being made useful? Maybe you should go and play with litecoin or some other feature rich coin and have some fun with that.

This is a gamers coin and will be huge in future because unlike vapor wear BS coins this has already delivered and will be a contender to any gaming coin that is out. Contender? I think that is an understatement.

This is a very useful game for people that enjoy gaming and crypto, I'm one of them. Not everyone likes gaming and the guy above is probably one of them. I have to agree with you that the potential of this coin looks big, I'll need to spend some time finding out more and downloading the game because I've only gave a quick scan of the thread and assumed everything is the way it is described in the Op.

Im new to this thread, how can we get Jewels from playing? I thought Jewels was to be purchased from the exchange or paypal and then you can buy items and new features on the game. I might be wrong. I've got some BTC ready for after I have done all my research and tested the game to get an idea of the future game Heroes.


You could do peer2peer trading. Farm items or in-game currency and trade with someone else for jewels. Currently we are not planning core game systems that will reward jewels as that would devalue them. That's not to say that we wouldn't consider doing promotions in there future though where you could win jewels from in-game tournaments or through raffles. We've done similar things in the past as part of advertisement campaigns and it would be a good fit here too.

    How will the updates be given out to the community? I think it should be considered that having a slack or discord could be a good way to get updates out. For example,id like to know how the hero testing is coming along. Will it still be released next month? All this can be posted on a private channel like slack or did you ever consider a blog where you can post daily or semi daily updates. It could be as simple as a blog tab on the top of the apex conquer site.

    There has been some health issues that delayed the launch but we are still aiming for a launch that coincides with the end of the ICO (Sept 1st). If there are any significant delays forseen they will be posted there.


    After the 1.0 launch of Heroes we will be returning to our old structure of doing videos for path overviews. We're aiming for a stable weekly patch schedule but if there are any significant issues found we will of course address them immediately rather than waiting.

    I will give you my thoughts and feedback
    • Apex looks cool but Heroes looks cooler
    • Jewels for paypal scares me even with the security measures you put in place because maybe fraudsters can find away around this
    • Im worried that the time needed to build Hereo's and Project Rebirth is being underestimated
    • I do think that if someone can do this you probably can because after going through your posts and updates to your own community I can tell you've got drive and desire and that client support is very important to you

    Jewels for Paypal is a fairly low risk venture. The jewels can not be withdrawn or traded until after the chargepack period has ended. Assuming someone bought jewels and then did a chargeback, those jewels (and any items purchased with them in game) would still be inside our system and the accounts can be banned/the jewels recovered. In order to trade or gamble the jewels, players will need to go through an exchange, wait until the paypal transaction is 'finalized' (no reversal possible), use the automated conversion tools inside our wallet, or trade with other players who have done so.

    Timeline is quite realistic. Heroes has been in development for over a year now (not full time development, we have been very busy with adding new features and content to apex during that time). The server is fully playable and online for testing now. We're simply looking for final bugs, tweaking the rates and adding new content. Technically speaking we could go ahead and launch the server with a few days of prep work. We're giving ourselves a few more week to make sure we catch any issues and to make sure the launch is as exciting as possible for players.

    The timeline for Rebirth could be a bit confusing I agree. We're aiming for a Q4 2016 networking prototype. That simply means we'll have finalized our design for the client<>server communication and have a working prototype of both the client and server. This does not account for any actual game content, it's simply a foundation for us to build the game ontop of. This allows us to publish the first draft of our design document which will cover what the game will consist of and how we will go about integrating the necessary features.

    Mid 2017 we then aim to have a pre-alpha client ready for testing. This does NOT mean a remotely finished product, it simply means we'll have our concept art turned into the first set of character designs, some working skills in place and a map or two. This will allow us to bring in a few players to test how the game itself will work (how does the combat feel, do they like the direction the design of the game is going in, etc). There is no accurate way for us to give a full timeline for that project because we dont know how many developers we'd be hiring to work on it. The timeline we've given is the work we'd be doing with a small dedicated team to turn it into something playable to demonstrate the core concepts of the game, nothing more.

    I know this is not about jewels but about apex. Is there any new video's out showing new stuff? Smiley looked on youtube but pretty much everything i ran across is from 2015. Just curious if theres anything recent with new patches / items etc Smiley sorry got a few people that im trying to pull into the game so I can kill em. well the wife can kill em :p

    At that point we had stopped doing the video patch notes because we found very few people were bothering to watch them (they seemed to prefer to read the text version on our website). We felt the time used to make those videos was better spent elsewhere. I think with the new server though it would be worthwhile to do them again as some people certainly enjoyed watching them.

    That's actually something we were considering doing. I think it's safe to say it will make its debut in the Heroes server.


    The plan was to have a 'tournament night' where you'd sign up with a group of friends, choose a name for your team and you'd be paired off in a single elimination tournament. There would be prizes for each round won as well as bonuses for top 8, top 3 and ultimate champion. We really like the concept but because we want a fairly in-depth system for it (a proper UI for the tournament brackets), it's better done in the new source with its html5 browser support. That way all of the tournament and team management systems will simply be an embedded website and can be managed easier.

    Currently there is no betting on tournaments. That is something we will be allowing in the Heroes server for sure though. Similar to the football tournament mentioned above, there will be similar systems in place for general PVP events, team pvp events, soccer, etc. You will be able to wager on teams you think will win using in-game currency or jewels. That's something we have to be careful with though to avoid abuse. We don't want people manipulating brackets for profit because it would take away from the fun of the actual event.

    There's a number of large guilds right now. Generally people collapse into large guilds or alliances to compete in the weekly guild war (guilds fight for control of a castle and then defend it from other groups of attackers). Smaller guilds are generally focused on friends who want to chat or hang out together rather than for competitive events.


    The new project also contains a 'clan' system. Clans are limited to 12 members total and members receive a percentage of eachother's strength. It strongly encourages players who often join events together to make their own clan and there will be a number of events dedicated to clans specifically (as they already represent a tight knit group of active players, perfect for forming teams!)

    I have a question about the paypal fund and how it's filled. Will you be waiting for it to be depleted and then going to the market and market buying another million jwl, will it be refilled as orders come in, will you be buying only on market or are OTC deals also possible?



    It would be restored on a regular basis from exchanges. EG: Bi-weekly replenishment. The exact schedule is not set in stone though as it will depend on the initial demand.

    But how do we know you are you? Show me videos that you made from years ago with your face otherwise you can just be a scammer who stole someone's online identity and are using it to scam us.  And I think you calling me a troll is not a good way to conduct yourself as the owner of the business.

    As others have already said, if someone is even remotely considering investing in something, they need to do their homework. A 5 second google search is more than enough to confirm I am who I say I am. There are literally hundreds of videos associated with my username that include my voice/face and can easily be compared against the video I posted in the OP. That's not including the verification I posted and linked in the OP confirming that the EPVP account is me nor is it including the links I've posted providing verification that I am indeed the owner of the server projects being discussed.

    This certainly isn't a copy of a game. Yes, we are using an existing client however the content provided on our server is entirely unique. There are plenty of quests, tournaments and events that exist on our game that do not exist on the commercial game. From this it is possible to make the argument, that if a commercial game is mismanaged (which Conquer Online definitely is) it is very possible for a game built on its client to be more attractive then the commercial game itself. An example of this is unless you are the type of person who is willing to dump thousands of dollars into a game, you probably won't enjoy the commercial Conquer Online that much.

    This is the furthest thing from a copy-paste game and I would recommend you download the game and give it a try. You'll see from just moments after logging in it most certainly is not "bots and maybe 2 real players."

    Apologies for any confusion.

    As stated in the first thread, our classic servers have been online for a long time and there is a natural curve of interest. The longer a server is out, the more difficult it becomes to maintain the same amount of active users. That's the reason we are so heavily focused on fully testing and ensuring Heroes will be a big success because that is the best use of our time moving forward.

    Apex should be viewed as a "completed" project. Any major changes to gameplay or player content that can be done already have been done. We continue to release new quests, events and cosmetics there to keep the existing player base happy but it is no longer worth putting hundreds/thousands of dollars into advertising the project simply because of its age. It will continue to be supported and new content will be developed but nothing radically different will be done there.


    Heroes is a completely different monster. It emulates the game in the state it was approximately 5 years after what Apex emulates. This means years worth of extra content and features which we are emulating from the official game but also means we have more tools at our disposal to create our own unique content. We're less bound by "how things used to work" and much more free to do what we want with the game to keep it fresh and interesting in the long term. The initial launch will be within the month and our goal is to launch a fully custom expansion pack for that server by Q4 (as mentioned in the timeline).



    Back to your questions: The stats in OP are pulled from the duration of our project to give an (accurate) idea of the reach that we already have established. This is due to us still having those users in our email newsletter list (ready for the new server's launch for example), are following our facebook page or have contacts playing the server still who can be used to reach them as new features and content are made available.

    ~50,000 Accounts is the number of accounts registered through our Apex+Triumph website and is accurate. We've since filtered out any accounts that have never made a character as well as accounts that have not logged into the game in the past 6 months. This is to reduce any bloated artificial count on our website. The current total count after all of that filtering is 32,709 as of the time of me posting this reply. Personally I consider that quite good retention but everyone is welcome to make their own conclusions from that.

    ~200-250 online at any time of day is total accounts logged in at any given moment. Alternate characters are a common thing to have.
    ~2,000 active users per day. I just checked and 2,189 accounts have been logged in in the past 24 hours.


    I want to note though, the numbers I just listed are from >today< and are not the same as the ones listed in the OP. The numbers in OP are the average throughout the livespan of the project, we've made no secret of the fact that Apex is less popular than it was a year ago and that's pretty much to be expected with these types of things and is one of the reasons we have such a long list of future plans in our timeline to make sure we can provide consistent and expandable demand for jewels in the coming years.

    Still interested in this ICO and cool to see it being extended (maybe bounty?) but not sure what to expect after seeing the EU version (Triumph Conquer) being shutdown.
    Developer said (on their forums) that "We've never been able to properly monetize the EU market so it's not worth our time to focus our efforts on that region".

    Opening post and ICO looks (looked?) promising but having some doubts now in regards to their overall success. The player count isn't that high either whenever I'm checking.

    Don't wanna be a downer but maybe there is an explanation for all of it.

    The Market for the triumph severs is primarily Arabic countries. Due to their payment methods, value of their currency and their culture it has proven difficult to reach that market. The group that we've successfully attracted in the triumph projects from core eu counties are able to play on apex without issues. By merging the servers it boosts the number of players in events and standardizes our marketing so that there is less confusion of which server they should be playing.


    Triumph was merged with apex so that our classic project is contained in one website and host. It's not as though we discontinued the project by any means. Or core audience is Na based and always has been.

    We have never claimed that we are not a private server but lets just touch on your other points mentioned.

    We are not using any stolen server files or anything along those lines. This emulator was developed from the ground up by myself and I have a long history in the conquer private server community for creating rock solid content. The features, events and tournaments of our server are not ones that exist in any other private server OR in the official game so claiming it is "just a copy" is completely incorrect. Yes, it's emulating a very old version of another game but is far from a simple clone or copy.

    Uh... no, it's not. Feel free to log in and talk to anyone you want. The only bots that exist in our game are two duelist AIs I wrote for people to practice PVP with. All other characters in game are completely legitimate and we have a very successful anti bot system written to block hacks/cheats/bots from being used on our server.

    We have a product that has been live and profitable for a year and a half with a clear plan for future growth (linear growth through partnering with other games and servers and exponential growth from custom provably fair gambling). We are not trying to be those coins and therefor have a different purpose.

    To put things as clearly as possible our goals are:

    1: Day one coin integration in an active and successful project. This means instant demand for the coin from our playerbase which will be expanded greatly by the upcoming Heroes server.
    2: Funds raised will be used to create provably fair gambling games. These games will be available inside our servers AND as their own website/mobile apps. We will be partnering with as many sources as possible to embed these games elsewhere. This is NOT reliant on our pserver projects but will also be usable in them.
    3: Long term integration into our own MMO, NOT related to pserver emulation in any way and ties into our gambling games seamlessly.

    Tons of progress on the new server this past week. Really excited with the enthusiasm of our testers. They've done a great job testing the new content we've been launching and helping us tweak and adjust as needed to create an even better experience.


    Today's update focused on mining gems/ores, quest monsters and a number of other tweaks and changes. The more interesting thing though is this patch introduces player pets!

    When your character reaches level 120+ you can choose to reborn. Reborning allows you to gain extra skills for your class, or change classes entirely (mixing and matching some of the skills from your old profession). Reborned players also gain the ability to summon their own guard to help them fight. They are very useful vs monsters but not nearly as powerful vs other players.

    Very brief video update.

    When I was working on some of the world bosses, I realized that player houses were not instanced properly. Every time you entered the house it was destroying the old home and creating a new one (not noticable unless you left friends inside the home or had a boss spawned inside). It now works as it should so if you fail to kill a boss inside or are having a bunch of friends visit your home for a dance party, you will properly re-enter the same map you left.

    While finishing up those systems I went ahead and added the furniture system. Currently there are over 60 pieces of furniture supported so players can decorate any way they see fit! In the future we can always introduce new furniture as quest or event rewards.

    Here's a quick list. From there I'm sure your own research will serve you well.

    -Existing game with year and a half of uptime with active player base will use the coin from day 1 of ICO ending to purchase in-game items
    -New server launching within weeks of the ICO ending with the coin built in from day 1. Expanded use case for jewels for in-game items, p2p trading, etc.
    -Provably fair jewels gambling game launch within 2 months of ICO ending (available in game and on their own website/mobile app).

    From there we will continue expanding by partnering with other games, servers and websites to have them embed our gambling mini games to continue expanding the usecases for jewels and we will then focus on continuing to develop our own new MMO which will also use jewels.

    Lots of built in demand with a clear roadmap for how to expand and maintain it over time.

    Most of what we're working on right now is pretty damn boring to be honest. It's all minor bug fixes, text tweaks and balance changes. Anything that's a bit more flashy (new systems, quests, etc) usually gets posted.

    The public test of our new server is going very well. Fixed up a lot of minor glitches and are diving into a new set of features for players.




    We've added a series of hourly tournaments to keep players entertained throughout the day. These tournaments include the following mini games.


    -3 Hit Elimination Tournament: Hit enemies with skillshots to damage them. Gear does not matter. Last person remaining wins
    -Infection Tournament: Hit enemy team with skillshot and they join your team. Ends when all players are on one team.
    -Deathmatch Tournament: All players have capped gear (any gear past a certain level is lowered). You gain points by killing enemies. After 5 minutes player with highest score wins.
    -Last Man Standing Tournament: All players have capped gear (any gear past a certain level is lowered). Ends when only 1 player remains alive.


    These are fairly basic events but serve as a nice test for the systems required. Players will receive experience and honor points based on their rank in each event. Honor points can be exchanged for in-game rewards.

    Thanks for clarifying that. On that note, I've been wondering this do you have some way to address the power gap that MMOs seem to get over time in either Heroes or Rebirth? When a game constantly adds new features, it's great for existing players but its intimidating for new players because it means they've just got even more catching up to do to someone who's played for a year or two.
    Would love to hear your thoughts on this

    Power gap is not that large of an issue in our game for a number of reasons.

    #1: Most events and tournaments (new content we create) are not based on your characters level or items. They are based on your personal skill. Most of those events can be thought of more like a 3rd person shooter where your ability to aim and dodge are what matters, not your raw stats.

    #2: The new content we add in regards to player items and quests and such are primarily cosmetic and do not significantly effect player strength.

    #3: Because we have the ability to reward 'bound' items from quests and events, if the power curve for new players joining becomes too steep we can always provide them with quests to give them gear that will maybe not be as good as other player's but will still be powerful. Because these items are bound to your character and cannot be traded/sold, there's fairly little economic impact as a result.

    It's a windows pc game. You must download it in order to play.

    The upcoming jewels gambling games will be available on their own mobile app, their own website as well as being integrated into the client itself.

    Happy to see so many characters created in-game that found the game through this thread. Hopefully that trend will continue in addition to the interest in the ICO.

    Tomorrow launches the public beta test of ConquerHeroes.com. We've been hard at work putting the final touches on a bunch of systems and quests so that players can properly experience the new world we're creating for them.

    Here's a list of what's changed in the last few days.

    -Mentor system added and tested: Mentors grant their students bonus battle power and in exchange receive a portion of exp and drops from their students.
    -Registration page cleaned up: Less confusing for non English speaking players. Forced email authentication for creation and resets. All passwords are of course salted+hashed and cannot be recovered. Having it reset through validated emails is essential.
    -Adjusted early game quests and drops for archers. They were having to do multiple quests to get their starting skills. Have smoothed that out and given them proper arrow packs with their starting gear.
    -Changing the gender of your character now properly adjusts your avatar and hairstyle
    -Titles are added for winning horse race or guild war. Players can equip or hide these titles and they are visible on their character sheet.
    -Quiz show and horse race given fixed schedule. Google calendar used to map out all quest times for players to quickly reference.
    -Adjusted many popular maps to balance the droprates and exp rates so that no single map is always the best. They are each useful for different purposes (leveling, powerleveling, hunting, etc)
    -Numerous daily quests added and tested to give players encouragement to explore the game world and be active across all maps (each major city has its own daily quest currently)
    -Ganoderma/Titan added (drop 1 hour exp potions. Spawn once per 30 minutes)
    -Flower system added. You can give flowers to female characters and there is a leaderboard for who received the most flowers of each type per day. Silly cosmetic fun.

    Is there going to be a database wipe at some point to reset Heroes before official launch? This is just open testing, right?


    Yes, progress will be wiped when we launch the final server but that does not mean all progress will be lost.

    All accounts involved in beta testing will receive an exclusive in-game title (permanent and able to be turned on/off) showing that they were a tester. We will also have bounties placed on in-game bugs and exploits which will be rewarded with in-game currency in the full launch of the game. That way even if your character may not stay, your work in helping to test the server will still benefit you in the final launch.

    your paying bounties for in-game exploits in Jewels or you mean other in game currency?

    Sorry for the confusion. It would be in game currency. It's a way for players to feel they keep some of their progress from testing without making it unfair to players who join later
