bitcoin is a terribly strange thing. i was buying at 2.50 and was soooo pissed when it went to 5.00 and 7.50 i was like what the hell is going on every time i buy them they get more and more expens..... wait a minute! instead of buying twenty or thirty why dont i buy a few hundred and when they go up i will have more money. i did not take it sirious till it hit like 12 -20 bucks. then around 30 i bout in big. and then at 100 i bout in like 401k big.  and i was jumping up and down when it hit 200 and 230 i did buy 10 more coins.... that one hurt in the ling run. but still. i think that bitcoins could be in the thousands. i really do beleave this. i think when it goes on a supper rocket trip it will go to 850 easy maybe up to 1200. then back to 600 support then bounce around a bit but not go below 500. take your money when you get paid. put 10% into bitcoins befor anything else. then pay your bills then put 50% of whats left over into your savings. then you get what is left to go play and have fun. be very dissaplined about this. it will pay off! in a year or two or five when you have 100,000 dollars in coins you will thank me.

are you guys being part of the problem. (nose in the air) im better than all of you and you are all part of the problem. if everyone would just see it MY way then everyone else would not be crazy.

hey you are you being part of the problem? no? good!!! cuz that would not be good!!! now I just need a badge and an official sounding name. Smiley lol
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe the price has nowhere to go but down and here's why I think so. on: July 20, 2013, 04:35:42 PM
By the same token that your weak-minded friend was impressed that "a bitcoin" is "worth more than the dollar", we have idiots on CNBC saying things like "it's crazy that people are actually willing to pay $100 for just one of these bitcoin things". WTF!! Why can't people understand divisibility and percentages?

Don't be part of the problem!
Actually its more like why pay 100 Dollars for something that someone payed 1 Cent for three years ago?

Or worse why pay someone 100 Dollars for something that they bought for 1 Cent three years ago?
Of course that does only makes sense if you think there is someone who will pay you 10,000 Dollars in another three years.

Don't you be part of the problem.

You're right - my aunt was telling me how houses used to cost around £3000 where she lived. These days the same ones are worth around £500,000.

I'll wait till houses go back down to £3000 before I buy again.

Thanks for the tip.

bahahahahaha omg yes!!!! +1 +1 +1 +1 you know my dad bought a loaf of bread if the 50s for a quarter and so i think i will just starve to death till it goes down in value. I will not get ripped off!!!!!

oh man you guys don't be part of the problem.
 fools!!!!
105  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe the price has nowhere to go but down and here's why I think so. on: July 20, 2013, 12:49:41 AM
99.9% of my entourage and random street people don't know what is Bitcoin. We are far from mainstream.
Have you literally walked down the street and asked random people if they knew what Bitcoin was and kept a tally?

I wear have had a t-shirt with the Bitcoin BTC on it (actually says "BTC or GTFO") .  I have been asked at least a couple dozen times "what is that?" and only had one person recognize it.  At least 50:1 if not more.  Not scientific but if you think Bitcoin is mainstream well you obviously have already made up your mind so facts don't really matter.  Bitcoin may be many thing and it may go down or it may even crash and burn but the idea that it is already mainstream is just silly.

+1 haha me and my friend was having this discussion the other day...if BTC was mainstream or not. i said ok at the next big gathering we will ask. so me and him are at this party... i hate talking in front of large groups but i was drinking liquid courage so it was ok...I said "Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention? I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. I need all of you to stop what you're doing and listen. cannonba".... no wait i said "hi by a show of hands can i see who has herd of bitcoins?" or "BTC? for short?" or "altcoins" or "cybermoney" anybody? only my girl and his girl and him raised there hands....everyone else about 45 people were like what? what are you talking about? I said its money. they are like huh like what country? I told them no country but every country. its the currency of the future.

these people were not old farts they were not young tweens me and my friends are 25-33 the prime age for bitcoins. some own homes some are married. some own businesses and are quite successful. when i told them about it they were very impressed with how it was worth more than the dollar. one guy said ya when its more then the value of the USD then ill listen i told him it was worth about a hundred usd. hahaha. and once it was worth 2.50 when i bout them. and how i was buying them at 230. (yes i got lucky and not so lucky)

if your point is that they are on the downtrend do to saturation in the market your are a fool! if everyone in America purchased one bitcoin we would all be rich rich rich. that is why i think the Chinese government did not hush up that news report about bitcoins. if there people bout in low (now) and in a year or five when they do take off they will have gained some very rich people in there country due to others making them rich. ie the Americans because we did not buy in when they were so much lower. but that is another story.
106  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITSTAMP eXchange wall Observer. second biggest and best exchange on: July 19, 2013, 08:46:37 PM
86 mtgox at 94  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

ya lately stamp likes to be about eight dollars below gox. right now stamp is 83.72 and gox is 92.08 thats crazy, seams you could go to bitinstant and have time put fiat into stamp and then buy btc then transfer them to another wallet then to gox cash them out on gox and wash rinse repeat. why would this not work? (besides the fact that bitinstant takes a 3% cut) but thats not enough to take your profits away. strange huh.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: price trend on: July 19, 2013, 06:40:47 PM
bear trap Cheesy its above 95 now. i think an upward trend over the next three months is the most likely outcome
108  Economy / Speculation / Re: price trend on: July 18, 2013, 12:59:33 AM
ya i do think its weird that stamp is so often low but that helps explain it. but right now its eight dollars lower.

also I have noticed this over the last year or so, that when the price jumps up and stabilizes for a few four or five days that means we will see another jump up of about ten...initially 15 to 18 but stabilize ten up. let see if that will be true.
109  Economy / Speculation / Re: price trend on: July 17, 2013, 10:38:58 PM
three more peps say it will go down. this is obviously to small of a sample size but it will be interesting to see what we as bla bla blaers think and what it really does.
110  Economy / Speculation / price trend on: July 17, 2013, 08:53:28 PM
basicaly we see an upward trend having the bottom at 65 but it could drop and crash lower. also we see this upward trend has staled but it could take off and really take off.

discuse why you thing over the next three months it will go up or down in price. you may extent this to six mo or a year. but please give good reasons why you feel it will move the way you think it will. thanks
111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: just for the noobs!!! on: July 14, 2013, 11:01:27 PM
BTW you can get them for 90 right now on bitstamp. the second largest exchange. and realy you guys need to get out of gox so we decentralize the decentralized money. bitstamp at 90.77 gox at 96.22 you decide.

    Bitcoin price:
    $91.21

from where? what are you talking about?

there is no set price. it depends on who you ask. bitstamp says that they are usualy about 5 dollars less than gox and all the other exchanges differ as well. if you ask coinbase it says about ten less then gox if selling and 5 more if buying. and sr is a whole other ball game. so there is not a definitive price anymore.

Very simple ticker, not bad. Don't see why its any more useful than the 100 others already out there...

Yeah that's a fair point. I was impressed with the other tickers out there and was interested in how they worked. It's more of a hobby site where I can work on my jquery skills  Smiley

I've updated the site now so that it will periodically poll for the latest news.

good job man. nice work. +1 for you

oh and love the haters there hate is hurting them not you.

warning tangent: humans are like crabs in a crab net. how? well at the bottom of a dock on the ocean floor all the crabs see a band new fish head and think "free food" or "easy picking" or "get rich quick" (crabs pay with fish heads) but when the net is slowly being pulled up and they are in eminent danger of getting caught, all they would have to do is side walk there way out of the net. but when you pull up the net its full of crabs?? why? why wouldn't they just walk out of the net? its because just as soon as one of them is making it out of the horrible trap the other crabs grab onto them and pull them back down.  and if they try then they will get pulled back into the net. sooooo like humans when one of us try some thing new and succeed all the haters that are still in the net try to bring you back down to there level of misery.  so go ahead and let them try but the truth is every time you get some one being a jerk and hating on what you have made its realy just them saying hey you are now better than me so i better make fun of or tear you down to my level that way i feel better about the shit situation i am in in my life right now.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: speculation on the when the price tops 200 on: July 14, 2013, 10:41:19 PM
So lets not shit all over this one too.

Oh well, I tried.  The price will not top $200 for some time.  I would say anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 years.

+1 indeed. shat all over the place. im going to change my name to William Shatner. and shit all over everyones post.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: to you bears....and bulls. on: July 14, 2013, 04:05:56 PM
Being a bear just means that you see the market as a bear market right now. Nothing about hating cryptocurrencies. I'm a short/midterm bear, and I think Bitcoin (and Namecoin) is the future. Being a realist just means that if you see the market is in a bear slump or in a bull market, you call it as such. Nothing more, nothing less.

fair enough, but that is just it, when i see the market collapsing ill take me coins and run when i see the bottom i put them back in and see them grow. im a bull and a bear. but what im saying is some are bears till the end. bitter bitter end.  to what point. you can not make money on shorting them when they are one sixteenth of a penny. if they buy then they are bulls automatically. same can not be said about bulls price could go up infinitesimally (almost)

i get why they are bulls and why they are bears. i dont understand (unless they are bull shitting) why they would be bears down to nothing.

I think thats what it is. even the most proud hon or bear out there is full of shit they will buy at some time and turn bull. all smothies will sell at some point and become bears.

and to bitcon, if miss spelling makes you that mad, go take one of your moms xanax take deep breaths and go fuck your self. use lube and when you stick it in think about miss spellings and all the way you can spell stick it in your ass wrong or rong or roung. feels good.
116  Economy / Speculation / to you bears....and bulls. on: July 14, 2013, 04:17:06 AM
so tell me, why so bullish. do you want to buy in low? do you hate cryptocurencys? do you want the dollar, euro, Paso etc. to be the only currency. if you just want BTC to do well then just be a realist and not a bear.

bulls. do you just want to get rich? do you have coins and want the value to go up so your wealth goes up? did you buy above 200? why not just be a realist and make decitions on what you truly think they are worth?

if btc were .00001C would bulls still be bears? to what point purpose and end? I can see if you cashed out and wan to buy in at ten bucks but then you could not be a bear anymore could you.... unless you like throwing money away. I realy dont understand the point of bears posting on here unless they are realy bulls but just want to buy cheep coins in the short then the true colors of bull comes out. if you hate alt money if you hate the concept of BTC or any crypto then wouldnt a walk in the park or maybe just maybe spending time with family or friends be a better use of your time then trolling the bitcoin talk and saying bottom is eight dollars and spreading doom and gloom and hate and bla bla bla. explain if diffrent then just being a bull when they buy when the bottom hits.
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: speculation on the when the price tops 200 on: July 14, 2013, 02:27:12 AM
I am going to say $500+ by same time next year.

seams crazy but then i thought about how it was at 32 then dropped for a year or so then jumped to 266 then down now 500 is totaly doable. i think this will happen. im selling my house half of lmy proffits (25 grand) is going in to bitcoins. if they five times them selves then i will have 125,000 oh god all mighty please let this happen.

God has nothing to do with Crypto's. We already had In  God we Trust money and see where it got us...
This time lets not bring faith in to it and focus on math, science and make it happen. Smiley

Cryptocoins don't care about your religious beliefs.  Let those who believe something you don't understand believe.  Atheism is just another religion.  However, there are plenty of threads around where you can discuss such things.  So lets not shit all over this one too.

I do hope everyone knows the difference between atheism and agnostic.

side note I am agnostic. It was a figure of speech. I guess i should have oh people with lots of money and the masses buy bitcoins to make the price and worth go up. but that just does not have the same ring to it.

I do like your observance of "in god we trust" on your denominations.  It is the most ridiculous thing ever. also it is not seperation of church and state. why not in Maize we trust? since America was The Native Americans and the prdominant religion belived that we came from corn.  Hopi Native Americans thought that Sipapu or "place of emergence" is where we came from its a Natural Bridge in southern Utah.  No we do not put that on our fiat, we put the fucking stupid "in god we trust". i dont like it and it should be sticken from our money.

but you also say "look where that got us" as if by putting that on the bill it helped or hinderd it. that is as ridiculous as believing in god.

as a litteral person do you take all terms this way. like "i love food" as in I want to marry it and devout my life to it and have children with it? your would be a blast at parties brick.
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: PRICE ROCKET!!! GET ON HOLD TIGHT AND GET READY TO DOUBLE YOUR MONEY! on: July 14, 2013, 12:34:13 AM
The more expensive BTC is, the less useful it becomes.

I disagree. The price of Bitcoin has nothing to do with its use as a money transmitting vehicle. If I wanted to send $1ooo to a relative and Bitcoin was going for one million per Bitcoin then I would only need to purchase .001 Bitcoin to send it to them but if Bitcoin was only worth $100 each then I would need to purchase 10 Bitcoin. Either way they get their $1000 and at the same cost to me.

The price of Bitcoin only affects the traders and the savers

thank you! there are a lot of smart people on here and there are a lot of smart people who have too much pride and just wan to be right. there way of thinking or no way.
