101  Economy / Gambling / Re: PariPesa.com|Sensational Casino| Endless Cashback & VIP Rewards on: June 18, 2024, 06:22:02 PM
We welcome PariPesa on Bitcointalk. Are you the official representative of it OP or you just posted their announcement thread? As other members stated, the casino seems similar to 1xBet in looks and design and that's going be a red flag for some members because the 1xBet hasn't been a good casino as it's somehow sister site of 1xBit which's a well known scam casino which all members of this forum avoid at any cost.

Aside from all those things if still the casinos proves to be a genuine one then we welcome it on this forum. I suggest OP to bring the official representative of the casino on the forum and if you're the official representative of this casino then I suggest you to think about launching a signature campaign of the casino to make it more visible to the audience.
102  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Confiscated Funds and Account Closure on LuckyBlock on: June 18, 2024, 05:57:39 PM
I also recommend that OP open a scam accusation against this casino in the scam section so in case Michael Bisping reads this accusation he will stop promoting this platform, no popular personality wants to get involved in a scam platform.
If Michael Bisping is promoting a scam casino then he should get awareness regarding it. I've never heard about LuckyBlock and its scam but if OP is sure about their scam then it's way better to create a new thread at scam accusation board or move this thread to scam accusation board.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What if you have a casino? on: June 18, 2024, 05:30:46 PM
The gambling sites know the reason they added that, because they knew most people are losing.
Yes, I agree, most gambling sites know that the majority of gamblers will lose money instead of making any money because there can be only few gamblers who can win against the house edge of the casinos while most players lose against it.

I've never seen gamblers who win consistently but I've seen many gamblers who lost consistently and that shows that in gambling world losses are much higher in number as compare to wins and that's why one should gamble for entertainment and fun only.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What category would you classify such bettor? on: June 18, 2024, 08:08:22 AM
I will categorize that better as a greedy fellow who has no strategy and believe on his/her luck entirely. In sports betting luck matters but proper research and strategy matter way more than someone's luck. The bettor just depends on his/her luck and I believe such bettors will lose no matter how long they try their luck.
105  Other / Meta / Re: Storing the bitcointalk forum on a decentralized file system on: June 17, 2024, 09:24:17 PM
I would say that having backups of the forum as torrents is going to be a easier solution and a long-term one. There are some torrent sites that always release the backup of their torrents library and such thing can be done with this forum as well. But doing something like that is going to be costly if it isn't supported by the community who may seed those torrents for the peers, and leechers.

There are some cloud based seeding sites like Seedbox but those can cost a lot of money on monthly basis. Someone with his own dedicated internet and computer can seed those torrents and if that someone is joined by a team of 10 then it's possible to backup the forum on monthly basis and have it's backup copy available to everyone for long term.

106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pokerplayer lost $500k as he folds while having straight? on: June 17, 2024, 08:35:40 PM
Yea, Thomas was lucky but didn't take advantage of his luck because he lacks the confidence on his picks which made him to fold instead of chilling and see what Steve gat with him.
In Poker a weak hand never wins even with a very good luck and that was the case of Thomas. Although, he had luck in his favor at that table but due to his weak hands he folded and lost the hand. I believe we as poker players can learn from that person's stupid move.
107  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Casino Recommendations on: June 17, 2024, 08:31:49 PM
I'm not much sure about it but I suggest you to contact some two people who have been part of casino industry and they can give you very helpful advice.

I suggest you to talk with SirJohnVonSlotty as he has been part of a casino in past and he might be part of one casino even this day, and dewez who's the owner of l0tt0.com and he has all in house games at his site.

Both of them have proper knowledge about casinos and they can be very helpful for you in your project. You can contact them via private messages or they might visit this thread after getting those mentions.
108  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tax free crypto idea on: June 17, 2024, 08:21:51 PM
I don't think you'll be able to make your crypto tax free. The best way to make your crypto tax free is by hiding it from the government and that will fall into tax evasion somehow, and such act may break the laws.

I'm not an expert of tax laws but I'm very sure that someone with American passport won't be able to dodge the government with the tax loopholes. I know what you said isn't tax evasion at all but you won't be able to find such loopholes easily.
109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most effective indicators? on: June 17, 2024, 07:51:10 PM
I'm not sure about others but for me the most effective indicators are RSI and Bollinger Bands. When you master those two indicators then you can most probably make profitable trades with the help of those two indicators but you'll have to find understand those indicators fully and master those at each timeframe.

I often use those two indicators in combination and so far my trades have never gone wrong. Sometimes when market faces huge dumps then I prefer to hold my positions for sometime while other times I use stop-losses but so far those two indicators gave me good profits and surely if you master those two indicators then you can also expect some good results from those indicators.
110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CVX is up over 90% in 24 hours on: June 17, 2024, 07:42:25 PM
It's down to $3.6 now and it may dump even more. I believe it was just a pump that made the CVX coin to grow in value, however after the pump now it's dumping again.

Sometimes such pumps are done by exchanges in order to liquidate the funds of the ones who use high leverage and sometimes by pump and dump groups to make some extra cash.

These type of pump and dumps will occur many times because it's bull run and in bull market it's normal to see such pumps and dumps.
111  Other / Meta / Re: Some question about merit source to know. on: June 16, 2024, 01:22:31 PM
Gaaah!!  Thanks for all the compliments
It's a pleasure to tell the truth and all complainants about you came from core of my heart. I really respect you and try my best to follow you and read most of your posts. You're among those members whom I respect so much and I'm very fortunate that we belong to same profession in practical life!
but lately I've been such a lazy-ass merit source and feel incredibly guilty because of said laziness.
No brother, you have never been lazy as a merit source, in fact I believe you have been doing very well all this time. You're the only merit source who not only send merits to good posts but with your post history review thread you've helped other members to improve their posting quality.

I was pretty weak at quoting other members posts and I used to quote wall of texts, but after your suggestions and reading your posts I tried my best to follow the way you quote others posts, and now my posts look better.
So I'm happy to help worthy members rank up.  It's just that when I'm browsing through threads, most of the posts I'd consider merit-worthy are being made by Legendary members.
Yes, you've been dong that and to be honest, you've helped many worthy members to rank up as a merit source. Yes, it's true that majority of good posts are made by Legendary members but there are some ranking members who also try their best to make good quality posts and merit sources like you are helping those members with sMerits.
112  Other / Meta / Re: Offensive names in the Forum on: June 16, 2024, 12:58:12 PM
See, I don't think it's a stupid username or a good one or clever or anything at all.  I wouldn't judge that person by what he chooses to call himself on the forum; I'd judge him on the quality of his posts and that's it.
I also think that username isn't stupid because we at this forum give priority to one's choices and freedom of speech and if someone chooses a username that he/she likes or prefers then we should interfere with that member's choices.

Yes, I agree, one should never judge someone just because he/she choose a name that majority find offensive. It's a user's posts and their quality that should be the determining factor to consider someone as good or someone as not so good.

If a member with a very eye-catching username makes low quality spam posts then that person shouldn't be praised for choosing that eye-catching name and similarly if someone chooses a name which society doesn't accept, and the same person creates quality posts then there's nothing wrong in saying good words about such person.
113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im in cryptocurrency 6 months only but i will not risk like other newbies on: June 16, 2024, 09:32:14 AM
What you guys think about this ? I mean Im new so i might be wrong
Although, you're new or you're pretending to be new but whatever you said or did was right. Trading main altcoins and Bitcoin is less risky than trading new coins as those can be unlisted from platforms anytime and you may end up losing your capital.

Those who trade altcoins understand that the altcoins are much riskier than Bitcoin but the volatility in price they offer is much higher than Bitcoin, and when it comes to meme coins especially the ones that are getting deployed on Solana and Ethereum blockchain can be super highly volatile.

I have personally seen new coins getting 10x value within a day but the risk of trading those coins is high because they have low liquidity and most of the times those are just rug pulls and nothing else.
114  Other / Meta / Re: Alternative accounts not prohibited but why there is no existing one? on: June 15, 2024, 10:29:22 PM
why then has any of the forum members not indicated of having an alternative account in the forum?
There are some forum members who have their alternative accounts that they use and they even leave a neutral tag to convey to other members about the presence of their alt accounts.

I can't recall the names of most members but I'm sure about two members having alt-accounts and I even see one member using his alt account regularly.

Loyce is the one having an alt-account and he uses it regularly without hiding the fact that the alt account belongs to him. HugeBlack, at sometime created his alt account but I don't know if he regularly uses it now or not.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting law ignores technology and encourages clandestinity on: June 15, 2024, 10:23:21 PM
As far as that law applies to casinos that operate in Brazil then online players should not worry about such laws. If I'm not wrong then most of the online casinos are operating from placed that's not under the territory of  Brazil and by keeping that in mine the online players can play at their favorite betting sites without any issues.
116  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto casino without investment on: June 15, 2024, 10:18:36 PM
Hello, what do you think - it is possible to open a crypto casino without any investments. I'm not including domain and hosting costs here, but I'm mainly talking about payout costs.
No, it isn't possible to open a casino without investments or without a bankroll. Most of the players join crypto casinos because of their own greed to get the jackpots to earn so much by testing their luck, and a few players join a casino because of the bonuses that a casino gives to its players.

Even if someone creates a casino without any investment then it will be a tough task to get any players to that casino because without spending money on advertising and marketing no one hears about new casinos and that means no one joins those casinos.

One can in some sense start a faucet but players also visit faucets because they want to earn free Satoshis for their time. and if I'm not wrong then faucets earn money from advertisements of their clients. There's a possibility to create a free testnet Bitcoin faucet but for that the owner should have available testnet Bitcoin.
117  Other / Meta / Re: [Voting 2024] Bitcoin Pizza Day on Bitcointalk 🍕 on: June 13, 2024, 07:59:15 PM
I should say that all of the pizza designs were awesome but those are the ones that I found pretty awesome and that's why I'll vote for the ones that caught my eyes.

Code:
I vote for: #16, #19, #22, #42, #99

119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are cold wallets safer than online exchanges? on: June 13, 2024, 04:56:12 PM
If you had a large amount of cryptocurrency would you prefer to keep it on an offline cold wallet or an online cryptocurrency exchange?
If I had large amount of a cryptocurrency I would always keep that in a offline cold wallet with an air gapped system. There's no point to keep your cryptocurrency at an exchange unless you're a full time trader.

Even traders keep their investment in cold wallets and anyone who knows about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies would prefer a cold wallet over an exchange's wallet.
120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Payment remains unconfirmed even though I've received the product on: June 13, 2024, 01:20:27 PM
But I wonder how you have got to receive the product being paid for when transaction has not been confirmed.
Some vendors could have such loopholes which some scammers or hackers find and then misuse. I believe  OP should try to report to the vendor about the loophole so they can secure their platform from such transactions. It's quite strange that even till this day such kind of bugs/loopholes exist in platforms.
