101  Other / Meta / Re: Some question about merit source to know. on: June 03, 2024, 06:14:30 PM
In fact, I could probably do with a lower number of sMerits each month right now as I've ended my post history review offer.
I believe you deserve to get the number of sMerits that you're getting already because you have been a very generous merit source and most members appreciate your generosity including me. With your post review offer you've helped so many deserving members with your sMerits and I'm very sure each of those members wholeheartedly appreciate that.

I know that now you have closed that offer but still I believe you are someone who send merits to all those posts which are merit worthy posts. I truly respect you for whatever you do, and it's great to read your this post because it cleared some doubts of the members about the number of sMerits a merit source gets. I hope in future you may help the deserving members with merits even if that offer remains inactive.

102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet against the club you support? on: June 03, 2024, 09:42:35 AM
would you bet against the club you support ?
First of all, I don't really support any club by default and secondly if I were supporter of a club and the club kept losing time after time then I would surely bet in favor of a better club. In gambling world, supporting a club isn't a wise move and if someone does that then that person will be responsible for his/her losses if the club is a weak one.

If I had to support a club then I would choose the toughest club that's available and I would place bet in favor of that club as long as it shows courage to beat the other clubs. But, if the same club and its players get unmotivated and indulge in the activities that would make other clubs lead them then surely I would consider betting in favor of another club.

104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Found This Stupid Promotion Circulating on Social Media on: June 02, 2024, 08:47:30 PM
While, some of you are still trading altcoins or meme coins and I would like to ask from you guys that;

Do you still believe in Bitcoin and do you guys are still following the same pattern of converting some of your earned crypto to Bitcoin?
Yes, I'm among those people who trade altcoins only the top ones and trust me if you know a project very well then it's possible to make profit from it. I only trades the coins that have been in the market for long term. Those coins that are new in the market aren't trade worthy and that's why I don't believe in trading of those coins.

I also started meme trading a few days ago but I found it more as gambling then trading. In meme coin trading one can turn $5 to $50 if a project goes well and doesn't rugs its investors but there's also 99.9% chance that a coin will get rugged and only dev is the one who will make money in the end.

Yes, sometimes I convert some of my earnings to Bitcoin but I have my own strategy to do that. I convert my profits into stable coins first and when I see huge dip in Bitcoin's value then I invest in it and allow it to grow again. I have been doing that for a long time and I will continue doing that for long term I hope.
105  Economy / Reputation / Re: The science behind Poker Player, Vod, and JollyGoods Destruction. on: June 02, 2024, 08:38:09 PM
In lamen terms, UMG, is a source for users to generate revenue, while gambling.

Being you can gamble + trade at the same time.
You mean that someone could generate a lot of revenue with that UMG of yours? Can you prove anything or you're someone who just claims a think and when it comes to proving then he/she can't give real examples other than believing that whatever he/she says others will believe it by reading it.

Let's say if you gamble + trade at same time then what would we call that thing? Is it even possible to gamble + trade at the same time? Can you prove that one as well? If you have no valid proof then I suggest you to follow The Sceptical Chymist's advice and lock this thread.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I made over $2,000,000 betting on fixed matches on: June 02, 2024, 08:28:34 PM
did you read the post retard? I told people not to pay for any info  Grin I'm definitely not selling anything idiot.
Is that the way to answer a Legendary rank member? Whatever he said is true and he warned others so they might not get scammed by you or anyone else who create such threads. If you have made $2M on fixed matches then why you are sharing that with us? Any reason to share something like that on public forum like this one?

The answer is going to be no if someone is making that much money from something which most people don't even know. Do you still think that members of this forum will believe you by reading your thread? If that's what you think then I must tell you that you're totally wrong. They won't listen to you and won't trust someone who claims he/she earned $2M with fixed matches.
107  Other / Meta / Re: Am I right with the interpretation of this forum rule? on: June 01, 2024, 07:11:11 PM
Yes, you're right about the quote pyramid and the thread you have mentioned is the best example of quote pyramid. There are some threads in gambling boards where you can see such quote pyramids and the ones who do that doesn't care much about that action.

I believe in such case I must mention that TSC is one of the members on this forum who has a very good style of posting and whenever he quotes any reply/post, he makes it short and quotes the useful text of that reply instead of quoting the whole reply. I truly like his quoting style and I try my best to follow a similar approach when quoting someone's post/reply.
108  Other / Meta / Re: Some question about merit source to know. on: June 01, 2024, 07:00:41 PM
Are all merit sources have same smerit generation?
No, I believe each merit source have differing number of sMerit generation per month. There are some merit sources who generate less sMerits while there are others who generate more sMerits. Only Theymos and those merit sources themselves know that how many sMerits they get per month.

Another question is once a merit source can be a lifetime merit source?  Or is it also pick and drop system like DTą
No, merit sources are different from DT members because a merit source can stay at his/her position as long as he/she is helping others with those sMerits, he/she is active on this forum, and he/she doesn't break the rules of the forum.

There have been some merit sources in past who aren't merit sources anymore. If I'm not wrong then a few months ago Ratimov was a merit source too but now he isn't a merit source or reputed member of this forum. Similarly, there were a few other merit sources who left the forum and aren't merit sources anymore.
109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Retrieving historical data for cryptos on: June 01, 2024, 06:14:35 PM
I don't think anyone would be able to help you on this forum with that regard. It's not going to be an easy task and I believe for something like that you'll need a team who may work on it for a quite long time.

However, if you're dedicated in doing that then you may get some information from Coinmarketcap as that site stores so much information about the history of crypto currencies.
110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit binance futures trading and i do now only solana meme coins trading on: June 01, 2024, 02:05:40 PM
To trade futures it takes time and need to watch and a lot worry about liqutation.
It's true that Binance futures or futures trading takes time and is risky if someone does it with high leverage but it's still 10x better than meme coins trading. In meme coin world, only those can survive who study the market properly and have enough information about the project on which they invest their money.

I have seen many traders losing 10-30 Solana per day by investing in wrong projects. There are many new Solana presales on sites like Pinksale these days and if you give proper time to observe those then you will see that how investors are losing money by investing in wrong projects.

I know that someone who's good at meme coin trading can gain some profits with it but I would call it gambling instead of trading. If someone gambles on good project then he/she can have 2x-5x and even 10x profit if he/she gets early in a project, but in most cases the project are rugs and there are so many ruggers and jeeters who take out money of those who gamble on wrong projects. In the end it's dev's who make money with meme coins by rugging and jeeting on others.

With all this talk of trying to prevent IA in the forum, how will it be prevented when it is indistinguishable from human writing?
It will not be possible when AI reaches the writing ability of humans but as of now most AI generated text can be easily detected with AI text detectors but after programs like that things may change in future. All of those people who know that AI generated text is worst type of spam understand that in future AI generated text can be indistinguishable from human written text.

I believe the emotions in humans text can be only hope to combat against AI generated text. I know that AI generated text could also contain some emotion elements but those can't match the emotions that humans feel during writing.

AI generated text is so good at its current levels that for a normal human it's hard to differentiate between AI generated text and human written text, only the program that are created to detect such text are good at detecting AI generated text but things will change when the AI generated text reaches to the point where it's exactly like human text, and at that money it will be harm for such programs to detect AI generated text.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pokerplayer lost $500k as he folds while having straight? on: May 31, 2024, 09:19:14 PM
If you are Thomas and have just added more money to the pot, would you fold?  We can't see his face though but I can just imagine how disappointing it would be to learn Steve just have KK
I would never do that if I were on his place. What a stupid move he has taken, he could easily win that money without any problem but he Steve got him with his bluffing skills. In poker if you don't understand your opponent's bluffing style then you'll most probably end up losing money.

Thomas got a fixed straight but he missed it because Steve's bluffing style got him and might got scared by thinking that what if Steve holds Queen and King card. In any gambling one should understand that strategy won't work without luck, in this case Thomas was lucky but his strategy was wrong and that's why he lost the hand.
113  Other / Meta / Re: Hello Trigger Happy Mods! on: May 31, 2024, 08:57:43 PM
I do not think creating drama is against the rules of the forum, even obvious trolling is allowed to fly most of the time. Conversations are to be had and oppositions are allowed as well. I cannot exactly place my finger on why the posts were deleted, maybe the mod who took the action will have a good reason for why it was taken.
Yes, you're right, creating drama isn't exactly against the rules of the forum but if I'm not wrong then as members of the forum we should have some respect for others local boards. I'm not someone from that local board but still I believe any wrong opposition against a local board or against its growth shouldn't be entertained.

I'm not exactly sure that why OP's posts were deleted but I'm pretty sure that moderators and admins might have found something wrong in those posts and that's why they might have deleted those posts. The admins and moderators on this forum try their best to make this forum a safe place for the whole crypto community and I believe the posts were deleted because those posts might had some element which could somehow affect the forum in one way or other.

I know that in this forum we all believe in freedom of speech but we all should understand that it's always a good thing to avoid creating unnecessary drama when there's no need of such drama. Trolling a members isn't the worst thing but trolling a country/community/local board might not be a good thing and that's why we should try our best to not oppose any community's growth.
114  Other / Meta / Re: Hello Trigger Happy Mods! on: May 31, 2024, 07:16:28 PM
Not to oppose you or take side of Indian local board members but the posts that you have mentioned in your this thread show some kind of strong opposition against Indian community and that's not a right thing I believe.

If I'm not wrong then the 2nd post was deleted because it was totally a type of opposition that could create drama on that thread and it's really not worth it to create drama on someone's merit source application.

You said in it that Indian local board doesn't have much activity but that's not right as we all can see new threads popping on that local board and that proves the board is still active. And that's why it's not wrong if they have their new merit source which may help the members with merits at that local board.
115  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who is more likely to be a retard, UMG, or Poker Player. Abuse of DT () on: May 31, 2024, 07:02:13 PM
This is the first time I heard that we need author's consent to quote their post and/or to mention them. I'll be damned. I've mentioned a lot of users and quote their posts, almost all of them are done without prior asking if they're OK with my action.
We don't need to have someone's consent to quote their posts but when quoting someone's post could create drama then it's better to avoid quoting their posts or at least ask them before doing that.

I believe that's going to be a good thing when we see it from ethical point of view. However, you're totally right that it's not mandatory to ask someone's permissions before mentioning their posts.

If I'm not wrong then the posts that you have mentioned in your posts were not meant to create drama on this forum and that's why you have done right by mentioning those posts. Wink

116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can easily find 3 odds games on casinos but hard to find on sport on: May 31, 2024, 06:47:17 PM
I believe sport betting is way better when it comes to research but if someone just wants to gamble then casino based games work similarly for them. I started online betting in 2023 and I began my betting from casino sites and on casino based games only, but after sometime I figured out that sports betting is more suitable option for me and that's why I started betting on sports events and almost gave up on casino games for sometime.

I'm not a gambling addict and I have never been addicted to it even after betting for a whole year. The reason for that is the gambling responsibility that I learnt which has helped me a lot to be safe from this addiction. I'm someone who gambles 1-7 times per month and there are some months when I don't gamble at all. Most of my bets are in sports events and fortunately I have won some bets because I did my best in research part.
117  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who is more likely to be a retard, UMG, or Poker Player. Abuse of DT () on: May 31, 2024, 01:42:54 PM
I'm done with this forum.
If you think that you're done with this forum then best of luck to go somewhere else where you may get like minded people. We have never forced anyone to be part of this forum and as long as someone follow the rules of this forum they will get the respect that they deserve.

I'm not sure about you but there were some members who left the forum and we miss them because they had done a lot for the forum. If you're the one who used the account of UMG then surely most of us weren't satisfied with that concept but that doesn't mean we are against you as a person.

I would also suggest you to not add @Royce name or mention him in topics related to the reputation board. He's one of the most respected managers of this forum and mentioning his reply in your thread without his consent isn't a good step.

And, finally I suggest you to lock this thread since you said yourself replying here is somehow waste of your time and that's why it's better to lock this thread so no one will reply here and you won't have to answer anyone's reply.

Best of luck!
118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has Trading Competitions competitions led you to challenge your skills? on: May 31, 2024, 08:46:09 AM
Nope, I have never joined any trading competitions with serious mindset because those competitions are mostly traps these days as a trader has to make so many trades of high value in order to get in the top list.

The whales can easily win such competitions because they hold huge capitals and that's why they can easily complete high volumes within hours. I once participated in trading competition as a test trial but after looking at the volume of other traders I just gave up on it.

I believe the ones who have good capital should participate in volume based trading competitions while the ones who doesn't have huge trading capital should avoid volume based trading competitions at any cost. A better competition should allow everyone to have same capitals and other stuff while such competitions can't be found easily these days.

If someone needs to test a trader's trading skills then they should make those competitions fair by allocating same amount of capital to each participant, and that would show others that who's good at trading. By allowing someone to have $1M and others having $100, the competitions can be totally unfair I believe.
119  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: May 31, 2024, 08:29:55 AM
Yes, we can learn trading for free but the cost of that free learning can be sometimes a trouble for us. Let's say if someone who learns trading free from someone who claims to be a good trader but in actual he/she is hiding the behind scenes and showing only profits or giving hope to new trader that people can earn a lot of money by trading.

That's why if our aim is to learn trading then we must have to find who's reliable trader and who's a show off trader. A show off trader won't help anyone to learn trading but only praises himself/herself and such traders often keep their viewers in dark.

A trader should focus more on learning trading concepts from good books and when he/she masters the concepts then he/she may try to watch the videos created by reliable traders. That way the newbie doesn't need to pay anyone to learn trading because these days trading e-books are available for free without any cost.
120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible stable coins could have their own bank? on: May 31, 2024, 03:34:37 AM
Most of the Stable Coins have backed by huge liquidity pool and they make their earning by stacking and or by other means like transaction fees etc.

I don't believe that there could be a bank who may be the back of those stable coins but surely there is chance of some huge investment companies owning those stable coins or maybe governments IDK.

But when it comes to CBDC's then surely they are part of a government's money system and that's why they have their bank. CBDC's
