101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: July 15, 2023, 06:05:01 PM
I am never in favour of any project or token that its success rely on the success of another project, in the case, XLM, the project relies on Ripple for its own success, it is simply a poor man's Ripple. There is nothing that XLM is doing that ripple does not offer, the project seems dead to me, if not for the recent success and hype around XRP that causes the spike in price of XLM too, it is more or less a forgotten project
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time for bounties and airdrops as we near bull season on: July 15, 2023, 05:59:40 PM
The recent ruling on XRP vs SEC, I believe there will be a lot of airdrops in this coming bull market, but projects will be conscious of these because people are just farming these tokens to dump on the market, if you looked at the recent successes of token airdrops only little success has been recorded, most people get these tokens and dumped them immediately on the market and if you want to build a strong community there is need for incentives for people to hold on to these tokens
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: July 14, 2023, 06:46:31 PM
Tether has not really been given the credit it deserves, people are now coming to terms on how difficult it is to run a Stablecoin business, just look at all their competitors, they have suffered and lose market share to Tether, for Tether to still be standing tall till now they must be doing something right, a scam can not last this long, some people are champion of Decentralised stable coins but the recent fiasco with Luna and waves stable coins makes people think twice on this. I, for one, believe Tether has contributed to this space more than any other Altcoins in the space
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ripple Effect on: July 14, 2023, 06:38:43 PM
The two winners from yesterday ruling are the exchanges and the Developers looking to launch their new tokens, there seems to be a clear pathway at which to get this done now if you have a good lawyer who can interpret the ruling clearly without falling foul of SEC again. Token sale on exchange is not a security, tokens offered to users like airdrops is not a security, so we now know how teams will be distributing their tokens now. The legal issue still continues, but the ALtcoin space needs to celebrate this win for now
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP has been ruled a security on: July 14, 2023, 06:33:54 PM
This is true, everyone knows XRP is a security the way it was offered, but the good news is that the sale of the tokens on exchanges do not constitute a security, this creates a clear path for new projects that wants to list their tokens, I expect more and more project to give more percentage of their tokens to their community through airdrops and maybe Launchpool in the future. I wish the Ripple team all the way in this legal struggle
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32nd Binance Launchpad Project Arkham on: July 13, 2023, 06:13:05 AM
There seems to be a lot of issue being raised about the Arkham project, that it stands against everything Crypto is all about, but people forget that the likes of Nansen are doing and people have no issue with it, because it is a market for the selected few they were being celebrated, but now it is being blown out anyone can participate. I believe people will jump on these and farm the tokens to death and the true owner of a lot of accounts will be revealed and if the token pumped well and people makes money then the noise will die down.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Currency Security Requires Breakthrough Technology on: July 13, 2023, 06:04:41 AM
The mistake people are making is that there is likely going to be a lasting solution to all these security issues which I doubt, what people fail to recognize is that anything that is hackable will be hacked it is just a matter of time, another thing is the human factor, most of these hacks are as a result of social engineering and not true hacking in its actual sense, if you are not security conscious you will be hacked, bank accounts are being hacked every day because people willing release their information to hackers online, even if it is offline, virus can slip into your laptop and phones and upload your information once you are online. Education is the best solution to this, people should be educated on what to do and not to do online, especially with their wallets
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $20,000 to invest in any Altcoins of your choice? on: July 13, 2023, 05:55:32 AM
Since you don't know what to invest into from the over 10,000 Altcoins we have in this space, so as not to burn yourself, I will advise you to go for BNB tokens, from holding to participating in Launchpad, and Launchpool you will be earning decent profit from it, also there is a chance of BNB going over $1000 in the coming bull market, so it is a safe play for you, instead of jumping from one Altcoins to another
109  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 10, 2023, 07:14:44 PM
Agriculture is a business, those countries you mentioned have big farmers in the countries and are the ones making it big, also have big money to fund their projects. If you don't have real sources you will be operating on subsistence level and only few Governments of most of these countries takes Agriculture very serious because it is not a space that you spend money, and it will be noticed instantly, they prefer to do capital projects that people will see, and its impact is directly felt and talked about but when it comes to Agriculture, it is a long term investment before people see its impact and I don't see how Agriculture alone can save a country from recession since there are a lot of factors responsible for recession
110  Economy / Economics / Re: The precondition for knowing when the Federal Reserve stops raising rates on: July 10, 2023, 06:56:06 PM
I don't think Powell wishes to break things to bring the inflation down, with him not getting the desired results this present a big dilemma for both the FED and the Government, it is not a good sign knowing fully well that the election is coming, if the economy is not doing well what are they going to use to campaign, but the job of the FED is to make sure they have the monetary system under full control. I have a feeling they are going to raise the interest rate by 0.25%, the last time I checked there is 85% chance of this happening before the next quarter and with rumour of Ukraine-Russia war coming to an end we are likely to inflation coming down and likely doge recession
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: July 08, 2023, 06:37:16 AM
Nope, this is just the beginning, but this is the end of these useless JPEGs they called NFTs, in the coming year I expect us to see the true direction that NFTs will take, the interest is there, and the market is huge but not in the present form we have it. I saw some of the recent hypes JPEGs in the past and I asked myself after losing more than 80% of their value, real NFTs can't be in this form. The brains are there to make it work, but greed is also another thing that is killing innovations in the space some of these developers are rich and greedy, they stopped working on improving their platform and adding value to these NFTs also most of these projects are just copy and paste
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BRC-69 tokens, a new standard in Bitcoin on: July 08, 2023, 06:29:55 AM
I still don't know what the future hold for all these new tokens on BTC, but if the transaction fee can be this higher when the bull market has not come how high is it going to be when the bull market comes, I don't know much about lighting network if it is possible to use it for listing these BRC tokens, since the cost of transaction is very low on LN, I believe it will reduce the transaction cost on BRC tokens, I know some people are driving this adoption, but the ordinal story makes me think they still have a long way to go before true adoption will come
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: July 08, 2023, 06:24:58 AM
Apart from BTC and Ethereum to me BNB is the next safe bet, I even rate it higher than Ethereum, BNB has most utility in the space forget the current issue with the SEC which I believe they are going to find a way to settle it, holding BNB alone gives you access to Launchpad and Launchpool on Binance exchange, these are free money and I believe the token is currently very undervalued as compared to BTC and Ethereum the current FUD and liquidation scare cause the price to dump hard but with time as we approach the end of the year the price will continue to increase due to new project listing on the Binance Launchpad and you will need to hold the token to be part of this. BNB to $1000
114  Economy / Economics / Re: US ADP Non-Farm Employment Change Released Beyond Expectation on: July 07, 2023, 07:36:47 PM
I know data in US is better than most of the countries both the western and those in the west, but I don't take these data serious because most of the time they have been cooked and padded to show that the Government is working, and the economy is doing well and in actual sense the reverse is the case. It is better to look beyond all these conventional data to see the true picture of how the economy is doing
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese city now accepts CBDC payments for bus rides on: July 07, 2023, 07:29:41 PM
I don't think anyone is surprised by this, China is one of the countries that bought into the CBDC thing from the scratch, and they have even helped some countries to develop their own platform. China is a country that loves absolute control and there is no better way to control people that have full control of one's financial life. A tool like CBDC can easily be abused and this is a concern of people all these while and I read European Union too are working on their CBDC platform
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest a promising project at an early stage? on: July 06, 2023, 07:57:29 PM
I most people here are just shilling their bags, I prefer to ask for narratives, if you know the next big narrative to be big just like the DEFI, NFTs hype we had in 2021 and 2022 respectively. AI narrative has been great this year and I don't think we have seen the end of this, it will likely come back bigger during the coming bull market. Most of these DEFI projects are overvalued and NFT seems to be a money grab for now and the only narratives hat seems to be gaining huge hype is AI
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Dexpool Cross Chain Liquidity Providers and get big profit on: July 06, 2023, 07:42:45 PM
I am seeing this project for the first time which is a surprise to me because the amount of the fund on the protocol more than $450 million are being used to provide liquidity on the exchange  (can someone help me to proof if the figure is correct)and I read somewhere that the bridge is susceptible to hacks can easily be compromised it, this is a surprise to me, who are those people putting that huge amount of funds on untested exchanges, even the developers need to look into this and scale down for now and stop exposing their users to a big risk of being hacked, safety first guys
118  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 06, 2023, 07:17:04 PM
Basically everyone always wants more and more. every time he succeeds in reaching one stage he will try to reach a higher stage and so on. But the meaning of financial freedom for everyone may be different. And having financial freedom doesn't mean you stop having higher goals. But financially, he is already living sufficiently and is not worried about starvation. even if he relaxes then the earnings will still flow into his personal account or wallet. because he has a company that continues to bring in income without us being directly involved in the company. because we already have people we entrust to them in managing our business. and we just have to enjoy the result. watching of course.
The meaning of financial freedom is when you are able to be financially responsible in meeting the necessities of life regardless of how much value or digits are in your account. Many or few digits of your money can't determine you have achieved financial freedom, but it will be achieved with gratitude. So, when you are not worried about your financial condition in the future, then you have entered the category mentioned, namely "financial freedom".
Yes, there are state you reach and feel free financially, but the issue still remain that money do not grow on trees you need your money to keep working for you reason being that human wants are unlimited and if you keep spending what you have and added nothing to it, you will drain your account in no time. I still feel investing in safe haven like Gold, Real estate, Treasury Bills and some of these precious metals are best investment when you have no need to worry about money again, the return might be small but you know your investment is guaranteed as compared to investing into risky investment class
119  Economy / Economics / Re: UAE is the biggest gold buyer of Russia during this war on: July 05, 2023, 10:20:45 PM
A good leader will take advantage of opportunity like this, this war has made some prudent countries to get better by making the most of he cheap resources from Russia. The way some countries decided to make their citizens to suffer for a war that do not concern them, I am not surprised that countries like India, China and UAE are making the most of this war, buying cheap oil and Gold but the Europeans are paying through their nose for the fuel and they are suffering high inflation for these useless decisions by their leaders
120  Economy / Economics / Re: 85% of AI start-ups will fail within 3 years. on: July 05, 2023, 10:00:00 PM
I believe it will be higher than 90% in my own understanding. The AI hype has come to stay and I believe the ChatGPT is just the start of the good thing we should expect from the AI evolution and most of these companies just want to ride the hype and do not know how these AI should be incorporated into their company. If company like Google are struggling with this decision, I know a lot of these companies don't even know what to do
