Damn this thread took off! I couldn't found my post from yesterday 'cause I wasn't thinking to look like 20 pages ago.
So the only ways to get this coin, before it hits exchanges of course, is participating in airdrop and staking, right?
Don't forget mining and bounties. Yeah it really took off in this topic. Many of the posts are silly questions that has answers in OP or post from 'newbs' like me trying to increase forum rank. But some questions like who's behind the team, what's deep send, what's in the development, when the first exchange is not answered in any manner.

Believe it or not, bitcoin wasn't the first cryptocurrency. Not even a second. If you did some research about previous echash systems creators you would notice a correlation between a real person and a lawsuit against him. That would be a one more reason.

Thanks OP for the airdrop! I received my coins but based in my old member grade. I know that you will fix it. I appreciate it. Another thing, once I open the file, I´m seeing this message: Can you tell me how to fix it? Thanks, Nick. If you had attempted to read the error message it would be clear what's the error about. You starting onion wallet as a server (probably you want to solo mine?) so theres must be a config file like said in the error message. In your folder DeepOnion folder (win+r and enter "%appdata%/DeepOnion" to open it) create DeepOnion.cfg file with rpc username and password. Or if you don't want to run a miner, just remove -server option from executable when trying to launch a wallet (right click DeepOnion-qt -> properties -> target field and delete -server parameter). Too bad I'm still a newb *QQ*. Couldn't participate in first airdrop. Hopefully I'll be Jr. member before next drop. In a mean time you could share your drops with me hehe ^^ DsbR54wC61bMkbJwAmSNKBENWob2dUXzU2

Good thought.
Now explain it for 10000 blocks ready for the position of 101st block.
Sorry, I don't understand the question? I think he means that there's 1000 blocks (think transactions) and every one wants to get on the main chain. How long would it take? I mean if the main block time would be a 1 sec that could be possible, as in your example after adding 1 block to main chain every transaction would have to solve puzzle again with a new header. That would take forever to include a single block. Or did I misunderstood your proposition?

And it might mean that the current difficulty is too low or that increase in difficulty will be adjusted (increased) soon™

Any body want to start making meme's or other images for DeepOnion, here is one to start. another idea for meme - put the onion instead of the moon. I would do it myself but i lack into photoshop skills tho

Yeah, still a newb, but what gives?
On the topic of airdrop - the rule for holding 90% of the airdrop - Do you really need to hold that much? I'm not talking about dumping. Lets say DeepOnion start to trade on some small exchange - not allowing to trade more than 90% of the airdrop can affect the trading volume big way right? Isn't thats what exchanges are for? I mean it looks like you shooting yourself into foot by this constraint - more people trade at big volume more people sees the potential etc etc

It will be better if one system could be developed to exclude those useless information. Who is the deep learning expert probably can help.
How would you evaluate what is useless information and what is relevant. There is many deep learning models for spam recognition and it's isn't a rocket engineering to employ it to filter out some 'useless' posts. But it is a forum and how would developer of AI communicate to members what is useless post and what's not? On other hand using forum AI bot to respond to questions in this topic and related to DeepOnion would be useful as the devs would have more time to be productive instead of answering question. Don't know if it's with the guidelines of this forum tho.

Be to, jei jūs neturite Bitcoin piniginę, mašina duos tai jums su slaptu raktu pagamintas.

Well, I do know, because honestly I thought I was registed here literally years ago, but, who knows, hard to keep up with everything, that I am earnestly trying to get the "jr. Member" qualification before the 21st and I hope no one becomes discouraged by the requirements. I can only imagine the long debates about that before the devs got to this point. I do have a suggestion, for the wallet UI, a small icon, in say the bottom left, click to lock / unlock, instead of or in addition to the dropdown option might be more obvious to some users. The lock/unlock icon is already there. It is usually not displayed because your wallet is not encrypted. Once you encrypt your wallet, you'll see it. See following screen shots. I think he was talking about a 'button' inside main UI window to lock / unlock wallet. That button should save users 1 click instead of clicking 2 times settings -> unlock wallet.

Worthless article as they don't mention WHICH project(s) they run to achieve that profitability. How the heck are you supposed to vote in these polls? If you say "steemit only" then CHANGE that, a lot of us have no use for that site. You can vote through GridcoinResearch client go look under menu advanced -> voting. No need for steemit:)

Great project! But i still not understand usage of tokens. Is it any fuel for TOR? Is it important how many tokens do i have in wallet for anonymity?
From what I understand DeepOnion just connects to Tor network and uses it to relay transactions (essentially it would be almost like if you connected your bitcoin node to Tor network).

Looks like community has to contribute almost 2 btc to for ONION be included, did I understand that correctly? BTW is there any deadline for how long you can register for a airdrop? At the moment I'm considered as newb and I'm afraid that if there's such thing I won't be able to join airdrop signature thing fast enough

Great list, will contemplate on some of the mentioned points, saving for future reference.
And as long as ethics is not concerned - some unethical or plain illegal methods are not mentioned in the OP. On the other hand there could be on more thing that could go to the OP list - becoming escrow/bitcoin trust agent. Essentially you could build a reputation on escrow merchant -> client transactions and take small fee from a multisig transaction if the transaction is being disputed (customer didn't receive goods OR received but doesn't want to release funds etc)

If you would like block chain supercomputer ( grid computing ) you could try Gridcoin, they have implemented Distributed proof of research for BOINC projects and all nitty gritty details already. To use such grid in a nuttshell you would need to start a new BOINC project and getting it white-listed by voting on it.

nice work ! rewards from the mined block could be included percentage or in coin form.
Those master node prices are to damn high
|
|
|
Is there any plans for other than BOINC like computations ( think Golem in terms of modified BOINC manager ). Or is Gridcoin is fixated only on science related computations?
