I have been dual mining with ETH , dumping the extra coin every one or two weeks and keeping the ETH.
I made a spreadsheet since the start of November to monitor my profits and guess what , each RX470 Hynix produced 1.75$ per day worth of ETH(from end of November to date ), and about as much ZEC (also around 1.6$ per day per GPU from Zec release to end of November) but this time with mining and dumping .
If i sell my ETH today then i will made ROI for all my GPUs bought in November , that is 4 month ROI , Also the extra coin is payed almost 70% of my electricity Bill .

Is there any way to find out what memory chips the card has without removing the cooler? I've got one Nitro RX 480 4GB, GPU-Z just says "Elpida", but could there be different Elpida chips out there used for RX 4*0 cards? Having a hard time with this one, 725 H/s is the highest hashrate I've got so far. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) It's at 1200/1690 @ 0.9V with copied timings from 1375 strap. I don't have nearly enough knowledge to do what you guys do with custom timings, and it's just one card so buying a custom BIOS for it is not feasible as well - thus I'm just tinkering with it any way I can. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Weird thing about it is that even with stock BIOS the memory won't overclock to more than 1800 without HWiNFO errors and visual artifacts on the screen (stock clock is 1750). I keep finding threads where people overclock their Elpida RX 480 cards to 2000+ memclock somehow, and that's even with tighter timings copied from 1500-1625 straps, but mine can only OC to ~1800, and after testing all the straps from the original BIOS, the fastest combination is 1375 strap with 1690 memclock (1700 is already showing errors in HWiNFO). What do you guys think - is this a timings issue (stock timings are too tight in the original BIOS to allow any reasonable memclock increase), or is it particular Elpida memory chips in my card that suck more than anything that has even sucked before? Many applications out there show what chips used in system memory sticks, are there any apps that show the same for GPU memory? Your cards must be RX480 Nitro(Without +) , those cards come without Dual Bios switch , without Sapphire LED . Those cards are dont clock nice on the memory despite having good Elpida chips , avoid at all costs .

PCI-E splitters dont work this way , Motheboard have limitations when addressing all those GPU and all those GPU memory . 7 GPUs can be done on many mobos without adding anything extra and many more with adding splitters , 8 GPUs is more challenging . Some reported doing 8 GPUs easily with 2GB cards , but with 4Gb,8GB cards it was repoted that it needs either expensive gear or modified Bios .
7 GPUs is a waste of time and resources , you add more GPUs and lose stability . Best thing is to run 5/6 GPUs per system .
I have 4 , 7 GPU rigs all of them have problems with Dag generation when dual mining and under voltage , i have to reduce dag intensity and serialize some of the routine , once the Dag is generated and it runs for 10 minutes without errors it is rock stable . 1 rig is running MSI gaming 5 , 3 rigs are running H97 anniversary with splitter .

Check if you can snatch those used MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Asus Z87-PRO
|
|
|
If you are using Windows then download msi afterburner, run your card @ 1100 core and 1900 memory, and apply some under voltage, start by - 48 mv

Well, that is eth+dcr, so 27.19mh eth and 405mh dcr.
I have to keep my 470's in the 1925-1945 range, otherwise, optiminer blows up terribly even with low intensity zec mining.
RX 470 Nitro 1500 mhz strap @1100/1900 easily pulls 27.3 mh ETH + 396 mh DCR @ Dcri 29 . Almost all of my cards runs error free at 1900 , above that some start to showing error . I have seen Wolf saying that he is doing 2000+ MHz memory and 29+ mh , perhaps the it is either 1500/1650 strap mix and doing 2000+ Mhz or 1375/1500 strap mix and doing 1900 MHz .

We are curious about your results ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I didnt have time in the past few days to continue experimenting, but hopefuly at the weekend. Only real test I've done so far is running eth+dcr under the regular 1500 straps then under the modded 1500 straps. 1101/1921/1500str => 27.03 eth 1101/1921/1500mod => 27.19 eth Just a bit better. Maybe you should use less tight timings to clock above 2000 mhz?

Try https://whattomine.com You have two options, fill out hash rate for your cards to know the most profitable coin for each algorithm or check dual mining ( Ethereum + sia, dcr, lbry)

Any body here willing to sell Hynix Bios ?

Looks very good but still no Dual mining support , only detects 6 out of 7 GPUs ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi63.tinypic.com%2Fav63y0.jpg&t=663&c=20go-vTVFgdF6A)

I have try everything :
Change nanopool server / change name of worker / change wallet / restart rig, nothing is showing up. 2 of rigs are mining, 1 rest. Whyyyy nanopool, whyyyy?
There is a modified version of miner on nanopool, make sure that download page says modified nanopool miner https://github.com/nanopool/PascalCoin/releases@rlong011 Use -p 0 for Gpu mining I get this, this works correctly for my R9 280x's but this rig has 5x RX 480's, are you runninbg 480's. C:\PascalCoinMiner.-.v1.0.0a>Pascalcoinminer.exe -s pasc-us-west1.nanopool.org:15555 -p 0 -d 0,1,2,3,4 -n 86646-64.mypoloid.miner3/rlong011@verizon.net Invalid device 2. Valid values: 0..1 Here is my bat for 2x RX480 pascalcoinminer.exe -s pasc-eu1.nanopool.org:15555 -p 0 -d 0,1 -n 86646.3289d57a6fe210b4.K2 Bat for 6x 470 pascalcoinminer.exe -s pasc-eu1.nanopool.org:15555 -p 0 -d 0,1,2,3,4,5 -n 86646.3289d57a6fe210b4.B1 Basically the same Bat with more cards , try the following -d 0 only and see if it works , then keep adding cards , i have a system with 7 cards that need two bat files

You need 7GH currently to get 1 block a day on average. At your hashrate I wouldnt be concerned unless you havent gotten a block after 48 hours.
How about 20GH with Zero blocks in 18 hours , And all rigs are OK with test parameters .

Can someone post V0.1 so we can test it with RX470
|
|
|
Like I said in the other thread.
Based on the average difficulty I found 100% more than I should of found. However with my RX 470/480 rigs on Pascalminer 0.2, I haven't found a single block.
Either the miner software is messed up, gives incorrect speeds, RX 470/480 produce nothing but hardware errors due to modded mem straps, etc, etc.
With older GPUs like 280x there are no issues.
What is your memory clock when the miner is running. All my rx470 cards are running on low memory power state (300 mhz)

40 GPUs here for 12 hours with no luck . Wallet says that hashrate is only 1.5 Tera , considering that i am pulling 20 Giga , i should find something in 12 hours , or the wallet is reporting wrong hashrate .
