101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated: Guess who is Sicker? on: June 27, 2017, 07:12:32 AM
In my country thanks to the vaccines the number of diseases has been reduced, so I have nothing to complain about the vaccines.

In my own observation, those people who are vaccinated turns to become sicker compared to unvaccinated one.  Our government in the Philippines encouraged every family to complete the vaccines of their children from birth up to 12 years old to eliminate the spread of disease such as measles and the like.  But despite the campaign, still those children whose vaccinated suffers from such illness. This is my personal experience, We are four siblings of my parents.  All of us completed our vaccines except our youngest sibling where our parents decided not to give her any vaccines.  When we were on our elementary days, My second brother got measles then suddenly me and our eldest brother got measles too.. only our youngest sister do not got measles despite the fact that we are vaccinated against measles and she doesn't have. It turns that our youngest sister has the strongest resistance among us. The three of us are asthmatic, she is not.  When all of us got sore eyes, she is not infected, when we got chicken pox, she takes care of us but she is not infected. Despite the fact that we eat the same food, we live in the same environment she turns to become healthier among us. The only sick she got until now is flu.

I had vaccinated once when I was young but I don't know what is that for. I haven't vaccinated for anti-measles or anti-polio, but up to now, I haven't got sore eyes, nor chicken pox even I have been into close contact with my classmate who got chicken pox and with my brother who had sore eyes. I only got measles. But when it comes to having colds and cough, I have weak resistance to that.
102  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: June 27, 2017, 06:37:33 AM
Technology is not always a good thing.

One example is with the children.
In the old days, children used to play outside with their friends.
Now majority of them are just staring at their iPads.

Technology has its good side and bad side. It depends on how you use it.  Technology made most of our lives easier.  Our researches,  communications,  engineering,  transportation,  and many other.  But yes,  as youve said,  its not always a good thing.  It made the communication easier but we hardly communicate with each other anymore.  Parents allow the tablets and ipads to teach their children value. Self confidence and acceptance depends on the likes..  I dont think it's the technology that is bad.  It's how we humans use and abuse it that got it all wrong..

Technology has brought good changes/effects in our world but, along with it are the negative effects that has brought a significant impact to people.

As for the parents, it's a matter of discipline when they allow their children to use tablets, cellphones, and such. Also the environment in where they live affects the interaction of children to their friends. So you can't blame the parents on why they allow their children to use these gadgets.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: June 27, 2017, 05:50:05 AM
I am an ordinary citizen here in our country. And yes, Bitcoin can be used by an ordinary citizen as long as you have a good computer or gadget and access to the Internet. I am lucky that I have the means to use Bitcoin and that I was introduced to technology at a young age. It doesn't matter what is your profession or even if you're not that techy, as long as you're interested in Bitcoin and have the patience to work, you're in.

It's true, you don't need to be an expert in technology and informatic to use Bitcoin. You can know the basic and use it even without understanding how Blockchain work, to where the fees you pay go, how mineration works... But it's always good to know a bit more to don't have many doubts about Bitcoin and Crypto-Currency, knowing how it works you can avoid many mistakes.

When I first used Bitcoin I really have no idea how Blockchain works even until I participated in my first campaign here. But it's better if we have the knowledge on how it works.

106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2017, 12:45:36 PM
I haven't encountered someone who "hates" Bitcoin. Well, just let him be. I will be calm and will listen to him. It's his opinion. But I won't waste my time explaining to him more about Bitcoin just to convince him the second time around. Let alone those people and realize to themselves what opportunity they have missed.
107  Other / Off-topic / Re: Introverts World (Extroverts Pls Keep Off !!) on: June 23, 2017, 02:28:05 PM
I'm more of an Introvert person. I always like the feeling of being alone. At home, I am usually at bedroom making myself busy. Sometimes, I think about a lot of things. I don't usually initiate a conversation when I'm in a group of people even in text and chat messages. I am an observer and listener most of the time.

I only like to go out with my friends and classmates if they are the closest to me and comfortable to be with. I don't like to hang out with people that I am not comfortable with because that makes me uneasy when I'm with them.
108  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you Find Cats annoying? (Almost killed mine) on: June 21, 2017, 07:14:32 AM
We have four cats and they are so adorable. In general, cat is not annoying for me. What I like about cats is that they do not stink unlike dogs. They can clean themselves, and catches mouse which, especially, helps. What I don't like about dogs is their loud barking that really annoys me.

At oo, maganda nga syang investment.

Syempre mas dagdag kita kapag mayroon kang skills na pwedeng i-offer.

Turn off your mobile phone when it charging, Thereby charging can be perfect and extend a lifetime of the battery

Charging is fast if your mobile phone is turned off. And when charging, always check if your battery is full. Do not leave your cell phones charging for a long time.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: June 08, 2017, 04:16:16 AM
My friends wasn't really interested when bitcoin was it's lowest price they arw overhelmed to how difficult earning could be so they didn't bothered learning it cause they think it's just a drag they would rather look for a real job cause that's what they're comfortable, in that kind of field they prefer investing all they're efforts by getting paid low in their fiat currencies. In the future when bitcoin's price really pump up they would realize that i'd rather invested in bitcoin when the price was still low. When the bitcoin soar up to $500000 those who chose fiat rather than bitcoin will still be workers and lanorers while we who put faith bitcoin will be the new rich gentlemen in the future.  So better invest in bitcoin while it's still not to late.

I was influenced by friends before and i did'nt take it seriously before so better show them some proofs thats its really worth it.

It is really worth it when it's helping you a lot in so many ways especially when you are a student.
112  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Manila terrorist was in a casino burning casino tables on: June 05, 2017, 11:12:52 PM
Actually that was not a terrorist attack but instead he was once a normal player that was drowned by debt in addiction in gambling according to what ive heard he has loaned in banks that will total with 4 million something Philippine peso. The guy has some big problems and chose robbery and to kill some people, i dont know maybe he wants to drag some people to before his death.
The main question there is how did he even manage to get those heavy firearms into the casino was the security lacks from the casino itself, they should have block him before he even gets in and has some metal detector to detect any deadly weapons they're security should have pistols.

He didn't walk through the metal detector. Instead, he just walked inside, beside the metal detector passing the lady guard according to the video that was released on the news.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: June 03, 2017, 03:27:23 AM
For those who ask about bitcoin only my close friends and family because I am not too vulgar to tell what bitcoin is, because it will make me not focus

Because you have to answer all their queries and everything, and that will make you somehow not focused

Because I have been able to make money from bitcoin. Right now I have a lot to ask what I do on the internet? How to?. Here it is very difficult to explain bitcoin or some sort of technology.
It will be easy if you will just tell them to search in google, it actually depend on a certain person and on his willingness.
Just give them some clue and let them do the rest, that is the best way of teaching them not to spoon feed.

Yeah. When I was curious about bitcoin last year, I googled and search then read some articles about it. I did not even asked more details about it even though my classmate is into bitcoin that time.

No one is asking me about bitcoin but it is really annoying when people keep on asking how to do this and that to the ones who is into bitcoin. Learning takes time.

117  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: April 18, 2017, 01:58:59 PM
Money is needed by all without exception. If you happen a situation when you urgently need a large sum of money, then either you don't know how to count your budget and will always experience such problems, or you want to buy something that does not deserve it. Is my opinion.

Budgeting is a simple yet clever way to combat any unexpected need for money like accidents (knock on wood) and the likes. If you have that little something that you keep off the shelf then you will not have to worry about borrowing money or hacking some of your items for cash.
Some people don't really have that choice though.  If you're too poor to be living with spare income or even disposable income, budgeting becomes very difficult and you'd still find yourself commonly in desperate situations.

It's hard to do the budgeting if you don't have the money. In our family, we always allot the money first on our food and other "needed-first" things. It's really hard for us where to get money when one of us got sick. When this happens and we have no money, we borrow from our neighbors or relatives then we pay them.

119  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Earthquake hits Manila on: April 13, 2017, 09:00:06 AM
An earthquake shook parts of Luzon around 3:09 p.m. Saturday.

The tremors were felt in Metro Manila, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Cavite, and Zambales, based on first-hand reports of netizens online.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has yet to issue a report on the quake.
The quake followed Tuesday night's 5.5 temblor that hit Batangas City and other parts of Luzon, which generated more than 40 aftershocks.

http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/08/17/quake-felt-in-luzon

Felt this earthquake. I was typing #714 and posting when I felt the ground shaking . Hope forum members from the Philippines, especially from the mentioned provinces are ok. Be safe everyone. Kiss

There are chain messages that are spreading like wild fire on sms as well as chat on messenger. The rumors is saying that a big one will hit Manila and other parts of the country. After reading your post all I can say is that the Filipinos must stay alert always and keep updated with the events. They must coordinate with the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office in their locality for an earthquake warning and announcement.

I also felt that shaking here in Southern Tagalog, it is a bit strong movement.

Those rumors are not really helping, but it is a scary thing if it happens. People must be aware and be prepared when the Big One occurs. Trainings and Earthquake drills should be taken seriously especially by students.
