101  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have people been forced to pay tax over Bitcoin yet? on: October 13, 2017, 08:45:48 AM
I have not seen anyone around here and at the same time, I have not read about it in the internet and I think its largely due to some facts which are:

1. In the countries that have given bitcoin attention, there is no way around not paying the tax so there is not need to be forced to do that and when you do, you be ready to face the music.

2. For the countries not yet giving the attention, there is really nothing to force since it technically does not exist.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COINS DELISTING NOTICE on: October 13, 2017, 08:10:02 AM
If you trade any of the underlisted assets on Novaexchange please move the out before the 30th of October 2017 because they are being delisted. If you own any of the coins you'd better contact the platform to sort things out with them.

The worst of it is the one always sent as a notification via mail by yobit and you begin to wonder, how do these coins get listed in the first place. While some are as a result of voting and the developers just dump and move on, others are bought the space in other to get listed but its actually not their fault too when the majority of projects here that issue either a coin or token, the most important questions people ask immediately after ICOs is when will it be listed and after that, no one is interested in whether the project is progressing or not.
103  Economy / Services / Re: Where I can order virtual prepaid card for bitcoins ? on: October 13, 2017, 05:34:40 AM
The suggestions out here have been educative and even serve as a source of information for me as well. But I suggests anyone taking a decision to patronise to not be blinded by nice talks and free card but also be sure of the important details which is mostly the fees involved such as the loading fee, maintenance fee, withdrawal fee, ATM fees etc as these fees might make a $100 end up being $90 without spending a cent out of it.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin GOLD - A well thought Scam? on: October 12, 2017, 09:32:36 PM
Even though I don't understand the technicalities surrounding what Op is trying to explain but at the same time its very much a welcome idea that one needs to be extra careful especially into the keeping of funds safe. For me, I am not jumping in to any decision in regard to btg I would wait enough until its being addressed as the project administrators and the forum admin as well. Its better to be late than not getting anytihinf at all.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Will Likely Resume Cryptocurrency Trading by Licensing Bitcoin Exchanges on: October 12, 2017, 05:12:36 PM
Bitcoin can be shaken by a country just like what the Chinese government did yesterday but Bitcoin proved to have market power and showed a very good recovery because it's back to $ 4500, so it's not impossible for them to just want to test Bitcoin. they are worried about their citizens because many of them are involved in this field and Bitcoin can also boost their citizens' economy.

I cant imagine a country losing out on the amount of revenue that will paid as taxes and licences renewal by the exchange sites on an annual basis just because they are lacking in their own responsibility. The Chinese government have seen this and just to announce the tightening of the current laws surrounding bitcoin and crypto-currency. With the exchange sites also agreeing to some conditions, everyone leaves the table happy without the need to ban anybody for running his business.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One more critic for Bitcoin. on: October 12, 2017, 03:39:38 PM
Morning Folks,
It's more of ridiculous when someone just pulls up a subject and without knowing anything, starts shouting that "This is nothing, this is a fraud!"
You must be aware of the comments passed by JP Morgan's CEO Jamie Dimon that "Bitcoin is a fraud".
Now, to mention here, someone called as "Wolf of Wall Street" and a former stockbroker Jordan Belfort, going with the flow, added that "He (Jamie) is right, I don't think Bitcoin is a great model."

Well, the more negativity they will spread, the more Bitcoin will surpass huge levels of success by slapping their faces with positive values.

TBH, I would like to ask these people that "WHO THE FUCK HAS ASKED YOU GUYS FOR YOUR OPINION HERE?"

The critics will continue to make their points known and many more to come as an attack against bitcoin but I believe they will continue to fail but there is something at the back of everything that when there is a major statement against bitcoin, that is the best time to buy because a lot of people will act of the words of people whose opinion does not matter and dump whereas there is no evidence that the person that the statement was credited to has not gone behind the scene to even acquire more for himself.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][MRP] MONEY REBEL PLATFORM links fiat & crypto in one REBELlious app on: October 12, 2017, 01:59:57 PM
Hello, sorry but when I read the whitepaper, it only talks about European countries, will it be also available in some parts of the world? I am from an Asian country and I found it useful to use the app in the future. One more thing, the app is open 24/7 and there are  these "real experts" that will guide us in our finances, will they also be available 24/7?

Main target is EU. Wehem we reach some kind of customer basa mybe we can expand to other countries. As you speak of financial advisers - since they must be certified with us, I dont think it wll happen soon with asian market. So like uber is not present in every city, we wont be either. But some parts of alication coul be accesable faster eg. crypto arbitrage.

I feel this is something you need to look into. My question however is that reading at the introductory page about the platform going to link other platforms such as exchanges, financial advisors and the likes, what are the platforms that your partnership is looking at and what will be the relationship with established brands in the fiat world such as banks and finance houses.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold on: October 12, 2017, 11:42:16 AM
I'm not really convinced about Bitcoin Gold but maybe i'm wrong. I'm curious what you think about Bitcoin Gold so feel free to vote or share your opinion here.

I am still expecting a detailed explanation on it as we saw in the case of BCH but I am not keeping my hopes high until the coast is clear for its use. Either way, I don't think its generating the amount needed attention as BCH did. For BCH to have this drastic turn, I am not expecting much difference from Bitcoin Gold. Anyway, wait and be part of the air drop that is just some days away and from there, we all decide what we all want to do with. For the record, I care about it.
109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be 10k in the next 6-10 months! on: October 12, 2017, 10:44:21 AM
Congrats and time for celebrations who wished and HODL for 5k and now they already started wishing for 10k Smiley

Human being by virtue of the way they are configured, they are insatiable and I was even expecting to see something like this even after I was happy we touched $5000 and the next mark for our people will be $10000 but whats surprising to me is that, the moment there is a little crash, a lot people would be the first to talk about how bad investment in bitcoin is and all of that. Lets just hope that this upward trend can last long enough for everyone to rejoice over.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin price worth $5000 on: October 12, 2017, 07:18:14 AM
Will Bitcoin Price worth $5000, What’s To Come for Altcoins???

The earlier the alt coins start performing on their own without absolute dependence on bitcoin, the better. When the price of bitcoin falls, we are quick to see threads such as 'what will be the effect on alts' now that the price is increasing now we are seeing threads such as this. Yet every alt is claiming or intending to be the next bitcoin at the same time relying on bitcoin. Such contradictions seems to be something I am yet to understand.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH bleeding death? on: October 12, 2017, 05:26:00 AM
Via btc and btcchina are giants and I don't hope that they will let bch bleed in a long run. This is the time to fill the bags..I am particularly bullish on Bch.

You are very correct but looking at the way it is, those big giants are not the only players in the market and by the time other forks come on board, you tend to have their dedication divided witch each trying to promote their different versions as the best thing which then makes them compete against each other. Don't also forget that a good player knows when to quit the game but I also believe its not yet over for BCH.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where to store my Bitshares (BTS) Bittrexx is removing on: October 11, 2017, 08:56:06 PM
Well I happened to notice Bittrex is removing BTS Bitshares  Embarrassed   They didnt email me or anything.  Would I lose my coins after oct 13th ?

Where can I store these ?   Is there an easy wallet to use ?  Livecoin Exchange has it. I dont want to use Poloniex.

Frustrating.

You have listed the options you have aside bittrex which I suggest you quickly decide upon because October 13th is just some few days away. Another option you didn't consider is selling for bitcoin  because a coin getting delisted on bittrex, it will take a lot of effort to get it to survive and find its way into the heart of traders who believed in it the very beginning.if you have enough, it won't still wise to keep in an exchange site, and moving to livecoin would mean you are about doing the same you with bittrex, in which if you had bitshares, stacked on an exchange site.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many years will take that fiat coin will be replaced by cryptocurrency? on: October 11, 2017, 06:32:37 PM
How many years will take that fiat coin will be replaced by cryptocurrency?
DO you think it's possible or not at all? Plz share your opinion:)

In my opinion, its going to take a long while before that is achieved and its because before government will take that massive decision then the knowledge and use of cryptocurrency among the populace should have been deep enough to command that kind of attention. Looking at the current trend that is still a long walk to the promise land but when that is put in place, we can then start deciding about when implementation will start.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious topic: how can we be sure Bitcoin will not be banned by most countries? on: October 11, 2017, 12:23:07 PM
Hi,
First of all, I am a holder, and Bitcoin is for me is an investment, I intend to hold for at least 5 years, so the question asked in the topic title is the last thing in the world I want.
That being said, with China, and now this rumor about Russia, I have to ask this question: how do you deal with the possibility that one day Bitcoin could be illegal in most countries?
Is it a possibility?
It is likely/unlikely?

All opinions are welcome.

Regards.

First thing first, you don't know and there is no way for us to know as well.  Aside that, I stop bothering myself about issues like that several times ago since I started my journey into bitcoin because the feeling of being banned, I took some decisions and more than 1 year down the line, bitcoin is still standing and waxing stronger. Rather than been bothered about when they will find a solution to the banning of bitcoin, I would rather concentrate that on spreading its knowledge so that the population involved would force the hand of government to a favourable conclusion.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Will Accept Bitcoin Speculation on: October 11, 2017, 10:41:36 AM
According to a newsletter from The James Altucher Report, Amazon will soon begin accepting Bitcoin, which they will officially announce as early as October 26th during their earnings conference call.

Source: https://squawker.org/technology/breaking-amazon-will-accept-bitcoin-by-october/

When the news filtered the airwaves some weeks back, I was initially on the pessimist side because the same several news has happened neither would the party concerned confirm it nor would will see the implementation but with date attached to it now, I am likely to believe it to a large extent but at the same time, there is a long period between now and on the 26th which means things can still change. As we await the official news, let all keep the hopes high.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be ready for more rumors and fud from China on: October 11, 2017, 06:29:18 AM
Its just like saying ignoring China at your own risk. The fud won't stop and the coming one will always be tougher and harder than the former but one thing is certain bitcoin will always  recover. Chinese are not done with bitcoin and I don't see that happening either so far the majority of shots are still being called from that end especially as it relates to mining.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: October 10, 2017, 10:14:35 PM
What is the future of cryptocurrencies when all the government need to do is to close the bank accounts of businesses or exchange?

https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-businesses-face-bank-account-closures-in-singapore/

Part of the popularity bitcoin enjoys today can be partly attributed to the importance of the banks by ensuring that there is availability of the platform to either exchange from btc to fiat and vice versa. Until bitcoin gets to the point where a the shop next door is ready to accept bitcoin as a form of payment, that is when we can start discussion about doing without the bank until then, their influence is is very much at the peak.
118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A day in the life of a Bitcoin Trader on: October 10, 2017, 03:28:38 PM
Define "Trader" for me, Please.
I am a newbie and have bought stocks for over 50 years.  I am excited to buy my first bitcoin, but the old school concept of buy and hold kicks in so where does the "Trade" part kick in?  Can you give me a step by step, "A day in the life of a Bitcoin Trader". ie - I set up an account with the Coinbase Exchange and then to stay in sync, I registered for a Coinbase wallet and then bought a Ledger Nano S for security and only then tentitively bought $50 worth of Bitcoin from a Bitcoin ATM machine at the Exxon Gas Station at the corner of Alpha and Beta in downtown Chicago.  I held up my iphone to the QR code on the screen and my Bitcoin software grabbed the encryption code ....  well you get the idea.  I need a step by step primer as to what the "Trader" does to Trade.  Thanks for reading.

I posted this on another subject, so please excuse me if it is cross-posted.  D

You probably know the right information steps to go about trading but one key thing is that, you don't just jump into it without understanding what  its about because a lot of times when people jump into trading, they ended up making money for the experts in the field. What I would suggest is to take the next few weeks in studying the market, understand the trend then try starting out small before going fully into bitcoin. There is no doubt it might be discouraging but don't give up is what matter.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Lisk on Coinbase ! Petition on: October 09, 2017, 06:20:51 PM
Hello guys.

I'm not the only one who know that Lisk will be huge. Really good project, with good, profesional and active team. Next months are very important and exciting for Lisk community so in my opinion is important to give people a diffrent ways to enter into Lisk and be a part of.

That's why I made this petition. Let's show the power of Lisk community. Let's do it guys !

Lisk team do a lot for us, let's do something for them ! Everyone of you want earn some money on price grow, so let's do something to help Lisk.

https://www.change.org/p/coinbase-lisk-on-coinbase

Petition will only awareness businesses always ensure they consider several factors beyond the immediate needs before commuting their resources into it. The same way they looked at bch and had to defer before they would credit their clients with. I dont know if anyone would wanted that by January. Lisk is a great project but the ultimate decision still lies with coinbase management and not by issue of petition or not.
