hi i`m new to ming and i have a  problem/question: why 1 card is not on the same performance as the other 3 always is a difference between,is there a bios setting or something like this that i`m missing ?

my mining rig :mobo z270 a prime (bios up to date , above 4g enable set, video on mobo ), 4 gtx 1080ti gaming x clock +150 +400 :
1.GeForce GTX 1080 Ti   64 C   206 W   753 Sol/s   3.66 Sol/W
2.GeForce GTX 1080 Ti   61 C   208 W   752 Sol/s   3.62 Sol/W
3.GeForce GTX 1080 Ti   58 C   206 W   753 Sol/s   3.66 Sol/W
4.GeForce GTX 1080 Ti   65 C   204 W   724 Sol/s   3.51 Sol/W

All cards are not built equal. The % tolerance is not the same from a component to another. That is why some cards
perform above the average and others under the average.

Dang, kjs, how do you keep your cards so cold?

I run the fans at 100% and its also fairly cool here at the moment.

The bigger question is what mobo and O/S are you using to get 11 gpu's?

Supermicro X9DRX+-F-O

Do you have to use both CPUs?

Hi,

i got this error:

C:\Users\koke\Desktop\New folder (6)\Zec miner 0.3.3b>

NVML is comes with nvidia drivers, error "Cannot run workers." almost always speaks about non existent or incorrectly installed gpu driver.

Also when i plug the display on hdmi port of the gpu it shows nothing, the fans are moving, looks like its off or something.

http://www.guru3d.com/content-page/guru3d-driver-sweeper.html
then reinstall driver.

hi guys can anyone help me? my 2 1070s are mining about 470 sol each

i just bought another 1070 but now 2 are working fine doing about 470 sol ea but one is doing only 300-350 sol

same exact gpu same oc settings

i have a 1050 platinum psu so i think power is not a problem

im running my 1070s at 85% power  core clock plus 76 mem clock +500

been mining for weeks with 2 1070s with that settings
now when i added a 3rd card one only mines at 300-350 sol

If you switch the 300 with a good one, is it always the same GPU with low sol ?
or if you run only that gpu does it still do only 300?

Hello guys, im trying to run an EVGA GTX 1060 3GB, which is the best driver to run this miner?
Thanks a lot!

@sublimus
Thanks for this piece of work!
I have just read the last 30 pages or so. This is the best thing!

I do not understand this
ZCASH.%date:~6,4%%date:~3,2%%date:~0,2%.ewbf.log

and
ping 127.0.0.1 > nul

I have just ordered a MSI GeForce GTX 1070. This will be my first rig with an nividia card. I am tempted to just order 5 more, but a little testing won't hurt. Wink

TIA

Actually this is from another user.
The % part appends the date to the log filename.
the ping 127.0.0.1 > nul
part is what is testing if your .bat file is responding. It sends a ping every second or so.

Dear EWBF,

is it possible to make dual mining ZEC + something?

With the ability to choose pair and % distributed between them.
Zec: 99.5%
Zcl : 0.5 %  Grin

Would be nice to mine some Eth.

Would be nice. But it is better to mine ETH with AMD.

Sure AMD Gpu's perform better mining Eth and my first rig was all AMDs. My bad experience with those buggy cards made me switch over
to Nvidia. I prefer less profitability and more peace of mind. I still have a day job and I dont want to fear that my house is burning down
while at work.

on my GTX 670 2gb won't work?
-----
ERROR: Cannot run workers.

Could be that GTX 670 does not have the correct CUDA architecture and is simply not possible to use this Zcash miner?

Perhaps someone with more knowledge than I could confirm.

I think that you have to use an older version that support GTX 670. I do not know which version it is though.

I have Internet connection :p that's what I'm posting with... and mining ETH works just fine
I figured that out, nonetheless the router could have been blocking the miner from accessing the web.

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: June 06, 2017, 01:27:49 PM
EWBF's miner actually took 5-6% DevFee instead of the stated 2%. I checked the log file out of curiosity and counted all accepted vs DevFee:

GPU0   1703 accepted
GPU1   1772 accepted
GPU2   1791 accepted
GPU3   1723 accepted

Total: 6989 accepted
DevFee: 362 instances

362 / 6989   = 0.05179567892402346544570038632136 = 5.1%

On a second run I got the following:

Total: 6159 accepted
DevFee: 347 instances

347 / 6159   = 0.05634031498619905828868322779672 = 5.6%

I was doing around 1800 sol/s with EWBF and around 1700 sol/s with NiceHash's Excavator. So I stopped using EWBF since there's no difference running Excavator over this.

You should run another test with --fee 0 and see what you end up with Smiley

Will try that.

For the record, I'm fine with the 2% DevFee as long as it really stays at 2%.

@sublimus

No, I'm not mad at all. I thought your question was related to dev fees so I just pointed out that the payout's currency is irrelevant.
If it's unrelated then it's BTC since I'm connecting to nicehash servers atm, but I can switch to other mining pools and get paid ZEC.

I was asking that because Nicehash  miners used to be locked so no one could point it anywhere else. I admit my question was not formulated right.
Not my native language.
But if I can try an explanation, your stat only consider the number of instances. Depending where the miner was pointed to, (because dev fees are not necessarily taken from Nicehash, EWBF can mine with other stratum while taking his dev fees), So what if Dev fees take half the time to be executed?

EDIT: I just realized EWBF already answered your question.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: June 06, 2017, 02:52:54 AM
With Excavator you get paid in Zec or in BTC?

I can point Excavator to any mining pool I want. It doesn't matter which currency I get paid. The fact is 5.6% of my GPUs work done was allocated to DevFee as opposed to the stated 2%.

I understood that. No need to get mad at me.

Hi, yes new release coming soon. What new api features do you want to see?

failover, so if a pool is not responding it tries a secondary pool you have nominated.

- Ability to stop/start a card by pressing the number key of the card.

- I would like the log to indicate the time of the processes.

- I would like --pec to monitor risers wattage. (if a sensor exist)
+----+-------+---------------------+----------------+
|GPU | Sol/w | Total Watt | Sol/s | Riser wattage |
+----+-------+------------+-------+----------------+
| 0   | 2.57   |    174w    |  451   |    xxw           |
+----+-------+-----------+--------+----------------+
| 1   | 2.63  |    186w    |  482    |    xxw           |

980, 980ti, 1070, 1080, 1080ti ?
anyone can share it please

Afterburner screenshot please.
I think core clocks are too high since it is Thread exit code.

You prefer to sacrifice the M.2 and use a standard SSD? I didn't do the math. I was aware you could use an adapter on the second M.2 with win10 but it didn't occur to me to use both of them.

I use USB keys.  I don't know why you would need an M2 ssd on a mining rig.
I am saying that because the guys over at P.I.M.P. stopped using USB keys and recommand
using a SSD medium level as a minimum config. I am using M.2 SSD because they are twice as fast as
SATAs.

Quote
I have a mobo that I cant do more than4 GPUs, do you think I could use the M.2 to install a 5th GPU and use a standard SSD?

I guess your version of Linux (NvOC) is adapted to work with more GPUs.

It depends on what mobo and cpu you are using.  Some mobos and CPUs are best avoided or not used.
MSI 170A Gaming pro
1x--16x--1x--1x--8x--PCI--4x
Tried many configurations

Bios Gen1 selected
When I install a 5th GPU it detects it but get a !flag in DeviceManager.
So I was wondering if using a M.2 adapter would work in the sole M.2 on the board.Huh

I don't have one of those: did you try the changes suggested in this guide?  http://1stminingrig.com/msi-z170a-gaming-pro-carbon-motherboard-review-mining-performance/

Thanks my  friend, 5th GPU is working now.
