101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Validating on CPU on: November 06, 2013, 11:50:11 PM
Hey, I got cudaminer running perfectly on my desktop except this error keeps on showing up.  The only parameter I have is --no-autotune along with my url, worker & pass.   What is going on?  I've seen others have this problem but no clear answers.  I've fiddled with the -D values but no use.

[2013-11-05 17:33:27] GPU #1: GeForce GTX 295 result does not validate on CPU!

Must let it autotune. then use -l once it find a valid configuration..Plenty of answers to this..means you've chosen an invalid configuration.

this image suggests to use http:// and not stratum+tcp://

http://imgur.com/r/all/cesAJhA

Maybe the stratum would require a different port number?

they have it missed typed. if you look at the configuration on their page it says it should be http://p2pool.org:9327

I have 123 if your so curious... Doesn't change a thing...
Doesn't work here either.
I think the server is down.
Does it work with http://rav3n.dtdns.net:9327/ ?

Try `cudaminer --help' for more information.

Firewall maybe?

Schleicher's even works.

@didjaydisteele
What exactly is your point? It is a litecoin mining pool...

@Lacan82
Quote
you have :password at the end of that?
It doesn't matter what you have for pass since that pool doesn't use passwords...
Quote
try using -u address -p password
Doesn't work...

Password doesn't matter, but having :anyrandomthing does

Makes the difference between me connecting and not connecting. I just tested

For the life of me don't know why you'd block out your address since people share them to allow donating.   you have :password at the end of that?

also

try using -u address -p password

Anyone know how to fix result does not validate on CPU! ?

To be more specific

cbuchner1 if there is a way to fix this, it might be a breakthrough (Or a bug Cheesy). I'm getting the following on my GTX 780.

From what I am seeing. it means you are using an incorrect configuration based on the inflated hash rates. CPU validation is to verify the GPU is actually doing work. If you are randomly trying bigger configs when you used -D then yes it will not work. Autotune picks the best valid one.
107  Bitcoin / Mining support / issues getting BAMT mining. on: November 03, 2013, 01:25:27 AM
I'm having issues getting BAMT mining. Even attempted myself to update drivers etc, but I'm not familiar enough with linux to know if I am doing it right. Would anyone willing to help me check that everything is working right? or get it working. I'm starting to think the cards are bad. I can give remote access. Please P.M me.

Before updating BAMT is was detecting it, but cgminer was running into issues. Now it won't detect the cards

108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: September 07, 2013, 09:03:38 PM
I have CUDA 5.5 installed, that's what I compiled cudaminer against.

https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php?topic=3231.0 may help
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: September 07, 2013, 07:47:57 PM
I'm using the proprietary driver - I can play games just fine, so I would think that the driver isn't the issue? I could be wrong, but:

Code:
glxinfo | grep OpenGL
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce GTX 650 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.3.0 NVIDIA 319.32
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.30 NVIDIA via Cg compiler
OpenGL core profile context flags: (none)
OpenGL core profile profile mask: core profile
OpenGL core profile extensions:
OpenGL version string: 4.3.0 NVIDIA 319.32
OpenGL shading language version string: 4.30 NVIDIA via Cg compiler
OpenGL context flags: (none)
OpenGL profile mask: (none)
OpenGL extensions:

those drivers should work but there is newer. you have CUDA 5 dev kit installed?

111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: August 27, 2013, 02:11:56 AM
Any chance this gets adapted for the Yacoin family, those scrypt coins with a higher N factor? AMD cards performance are taking a bigger hit with higher N than CPU. Would the performance gap between Nvidia and AMD cards also narrow?  Huh

it doesn't work? I was using multipool.us pretty well with it..which has variety of coins. I don't know the N factor of those coins off the top of my head..

Solo mining? or using a proxy?

t hubs mining proxy? Is it possible coinotron just has a shitty connection?

I moved away from coinotron for this very reason. to many error popped up even after build in stratum support in cudaminer.

Hello guys!
I'm new here and just got into Bitcoin Mining today...
The card I'm running with is a 660ti.

I tried out 50Miner and the rpcminer-mod. Both of them worked and I received shares from them, but compared to CUDAminer the speed wasn't the same, running around 110kH/s.
CUDAminer runs with up to 180, but I'm not receiving any shares at all, they all show as invalid =/

the current command line contains " -i 1 -C 0 -l 145x2 ". I'm running the newest version, the most recent drivers and turning off the firewall didn't help either... any help? =(

Thanks in advance!

Cudaminer is scrypt based...Only works with Scrypt based coins like litecoin.  Bitcoin uses SHA256

Note:
Autotuned for ten minutes, it kept auto tuning and not mining, 209 rounds of autotuning. Went back to using the no-autotune switch. GT520

Greetings, what does/did your command look like? I have a GT 525M and can't get it running at all ( --no-autotune makes it run at 0.00 for all values while a lack of that command crashes the program (12 months old laptop running Win7) ) ~ apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I have 40+ pages of reading to go.   Cheesy

Update video drivers...

i have discovered a weird error: i have been getting shares ok and been reporting to pools ok and having them match and since i am new to this still virtually especially with mining, this is a first of this error i have seen on any of the forums.
It appears that when i have found and solved a block, i get this error and i am not credited with finding it but the pool gets credit for solving it tho jsut with a "unknown" finder. error is this:

"result does not validate on CPU!"

this is the latest version and i love the program, as it has boosted my hashes greatly but i could not figure out this odd bug.

anyone have any ideas?

It means you're using an invalid configuration for your card. If you were using an old version and upgrade. You must Autotune with the new version. The old configuration may not be valid anymore

Thats Bullshit. All my cards auto tune every time and still get the error.

yes its bullshit.

result does not validate happen and has nothing to do with the card config.

your mining for pool X, connection gets lost and in meantime pool X finds a new block and cudaminer dosnt get the LP, connection restores gets new work but the work thats being put on the GPU is still the old one, which obviously dosnt match the actual work. after this no LP/reconnct fixes it, you have to restart it.
i created a simple bash + expect script to catch this and automatically restart cudaminer Wink

PS: if you look at his posts you see a high % of his post are total bullshit or just FUD -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=95137;sa=showPosts

my posts are bullshit? did you read any of these thread? CPU validation was put in to make sure your card was doing work. When you get that area it means your card isn't actually doing any work at all.

I am getting about 2-3kh/s on a geforce 8400gs. Does this seem okay. I thought I should get much more when trying to mine digitalcoins which uses the same scrypt algorithm.

Code:
cudaminer.exe -o http://pool.digitalcoinpool.com:8337 -O username.num:pass

Cuda miner is only designed to work with the newer cores Fermi/kepler. it isn't optimized for any of the older series
120  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Completely new Hardware, no booting? on: May 24, 2013, 08:05:28 PM
I've gotten black screen of death (no post) from a bad CPU, and bad motherboard in 2 separate scenarios. Incompatible/bad memory can cause no post as well as is the case with my old G41 motherboard; It won't post with high density memory, but works just fine with lower density. Just process of elimination. Switch the CPU, switch the RAM, then switch the board. If nothing works, then don't know what to say. YOu have bad luck.

good thing i had some stuff coming in today Smiley

Tried a new CPU , no result (cpu works fine in other comp)

tried different ram, no result either (ram works fine in other comp)

The new mobo is on it's way from Amazon & should get here tuesday, so i'll keep you guys updated Smiley

You've connect the 4 PIN power connect on the MOBO near the CPU? If so, then try setting the BIOS on the MOBO. it will be in the manual on how to reset it on the MOBO itself
