101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LEMON] LemonCoin - Argon2 coin done right on: October 23, 2018, 10:44:02 AM
It's amazing to have Sr. and Hero members commenting here... it is a shame this thing was delisted.
So what's next? If btc spikes and alts gain more ground again perhaps this could be relisted somewhere.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LEMON] LemonCoin - Argon2 coin done right on: October 10, 2018, 08:42:06 AM
And there it goes.. Delisted. What a shame.

Anyone want to buy some LEMONs?
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Ideas on how to profit from TUSD true usd.... on: August 29, 2018, 01:51:32 AM
I know this is old but - TUSD on Binance does fluctuate by % - there is money to be made.

What is opinion on TUSD vs USDT? Is it actually more ‘honest?’
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LEMON] LemonCoin - Argon2 coin done right on: August 23, 2018, 04:02:45 AM
I am currently working on new version of wallet, main highlight is much improved performance.

I also started working with Bitcoinsfacil, they are going to help me with marketing and management.
We have more news prepared that we will share soon.

Hey man, I noticed this is the most recent post you've made on bitcointalk.org - Just wondering if there's any hope in seeing a wallet upgrade. There are a lot of cool features that would immediately make this wallet more user friendly and I don't think they'd be too difficult to implement. I know very little of the QT system or Core but I know that several alts have made just simple things like a 'start mining' and 'number of cores' settings.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AXE 🔥 Decentralized ▲ X11 👾 MN / PoSe + PoW on: August 23, 2018, 01:47:50 AM

I have a web server stopped and I would like someone to help me put a mirror in Portuguese axerunners site, if anyone can help me, I thank you

you could fork the website source and publish translation on gh pages, no dedicated server needed. just the domain name

^  ^  This is a great idea - and it should work for any languages wanting to be added.
106  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: August 23, 2018, 01:44:15 AM
I wonder if the merit system could be blockchain based, allowing a merit coin to drag even more emotion from the whole thing.

///
I think the system is a decent idea despite not having any yet - I've never been the kind to just need points because they're out there.
Seven months of merit is enough time to get an idea if top members are happy with it, however I would suppose it would be the lower tier members who would be a better gauge if they are happy with the growth or not. (Not quite the 'The rich get richer' argument but just a viewpoint.)

If you power decent posts and actually earn the points it sounds like a good system. I don't know about the tips = points or friends first ideas that were also mentioned, but it should just work if people benefit from something you've said.
107  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: August 21, 2018, 11:49:13 AM

Good to know! Thanks. I like 'Smerit' - Is it labeled like that? Lol.

If you did what I said, you'd see its actually called sMerit (along with explanation that you lose nothing by giving it away) Grin

I could probably do that if it was an option. I don't have any merit so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the option to give merit is disabled.
Thanks for the screenshot though. I'm glad they have a sense of humor here.

<EDIT>

AH, nope, I do have a way to see it simply by doing as you suggested and searching 'Merit.'
It helps to read, huh?

Bancor is in ERC-20. Follow the money.
109  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: August 21, 2018, 11:32:13 AM
In case anyone else has this question here - Must an account be 'full member' status to send or receive merit?

No.

Please read at least the first post of the thread before posting if you want to earn any merits ever.

Thanks for the clarification. My question really should have been specific to sending merit, however I do indeed see that apparently you must have merit already to send it. Does this mean If I received 10 merit, if I gave 5 merit to others would my account still show 10 merit or are they spent as a form of merit currency?

Your merits difefr from those you send...those are called "sendable merit" or smerit and you can see how many of those you have
if you click as if you're trying to send merit to someone...you will see that that number differs from your own merit

Good to know! Thanks. I like 'Smerit' - Is it labeled like that? Lol.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ARO] | Arionum | CPU | PHP Based | Decentralized Revolution on: August 21, 2018, 11:23:29 AM
Right - So.
New to this coin. What happened with the other exchange? It seems OK on Mercatox for now.
It dipped hard - I'm guessing this is from an issue on Octawhatever. Do you think it'll recover?
I like that it's a cpu coin - it's being advertised as gpu mine-able - is this tested? I'd rather it be cpu only, personally.
At least it's worth more than LEMONCOIN, even on the down-trend.

Ok, as far as we know OctaEx stopped processing any withdrawals at the end of May. We have heard nothing from them and can only presume that it's an exit scam.

As for GPU mining, there is a Linux and Windows miner but they only perform as well as a decent CPU, it just allows more of the average Joe to mine ARO.

ARO will recover, there are lots of exciting things to look forward to with ARO

Thanks for the details. Hopefully it'll work out - I like the idea of ARO as one of the few decent CPU coins.
If I had any merit to send I'd send it. Thank you!

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion about ETH on: August 21, 2018, 11:15:43 AM
Ethereum is a great currency and a really big step ahead compared to bitcoin.
But with its current limitations, it's hardly going to make up a big share in the future: 19 TPS, long transaction confirmation, transaction fees at every step.
New projects such as EOS beat Ethereum at all points.

I like this post - someone over on the "EOS vs ETH, which is more desirable" thread didn't agree with us much. Wink
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion about ETH on: August 21, 2018, 11:14:38 AM
ETH might even be having a worse time than what is actually the case due to so many tokens being under Ethereum with ERC-20. All of those rise and fall and ETH may be pulled a bit with them. HODL! The whole market has to recover. (Don't put it all in ETH though.. Diversify. Smiley )
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion about ETH on: August 21, 2018, 10:26:54 AM
With experiments such as CryptoKitties and a huge token list you've got to at least give ETH credit for being so huge within such a short period of time. Bitcoin has ten years of progress and I can still remember the email when ETH was added to coinbase.

How do we get it listed on Cryptopia?

they charging crazy listing fee https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Paytopia
we don't have any ICOs or auction to cover such expenses at this time)

Wow, it's not Binance but that's crazy.

60K + for  "Consideration" of being listed. "Listing subject to developer review."

5200000 Dotcoin = 60121.44 US Dollar (USD)
Date (today): 15. August 2018 02:22 AM (GMT)

Any idea of listing fees on Mercatox?

Need to write them. They then decide onlisting fee based on coin. "The cost of adding a coin to the exchange from 0.5 btc to 5 btc. (All coins will be reviewed individually)."

That's more reasonable, or might be depending on how it goes. Thanks for this.
117  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer R4 - dead hash board? Shitty design, read before you send it back on: August 21, 2018, 10:13:07 AM
Both machines have two sets of stickers on the case. I can say the boards on one have stickers for 600m. Both are below 85ºC chip temps oriented vertically in a 75-78ºF room. Consuming 908 watts at the wall with APW5.

Sweet details! I tried the IP reset + power cycle option to no avail. I'll give it another go with some of the other techniques mentioned however I'm concerned the very latest firmware released may have removed the option. According to records, the miners with the 'sd card' slot to the left of the Ethernet port, which the R4 is one, should be able to be pushed back to factory firmware using the method of power off, hold IP reset, Power on while still holding and release five seconds later to set back. It didn't work on my 8.7 with that method but maybe I held it down for too long. (That shouldn't matter.. )

Thanks to all for the details shared in here. It's good to see support for this 'old' hardware. I buy used units for anyone wanting to liquidate. I also repair boards with the burnt PCI-E ports.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin still a good investment? on: August 15, 2018, 02:50:35 AM
Not many people can say they hold an entire bitcoin.
Litecoin however is still at a price where most people can buy an entire coin or more- fairly easily.
At least for now.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS or ETH, which one is preferable?? on: August 15, 2018, 02:48:07 AM
Compared to EOS, ethereum is an older coin with more experience in cryptography. The development of Ethereum has also been shown to increase from year to year, it may be the reason that Ethereum will continue to rise in price. Ethereum has also strengthened investor confidence
This is very true - and true for most tokens and projects.
Many projects like EOS have been excited to be on their own blockchains. If ETH went down, the erc20 tokens do too.
EOS has at least started to carve it's own path despite always having a beginning as a token.
