having a problem with one of my s3 upgrade kits, does anyone know how to fix this? I think the issue is related to the fact that the miner status screen is showing 4 chains:

Has anybody figured out what's causing this problem yet?

One of my antminer s1 upgrade kits isn't working. I think it has something to do with the fact that it is showing 4 chains in the miner status. Please help:

From what I have been reading, the most common thing is to make sure you update to the latest firmware. Or it wont work at all.

Yes I updated to the latest firmware. I have 2 upgrade kits, the first one worked fine. This one isn't working at all. I suspect it has something to do with the 4 chains it is showing. It's only supposed to show 2 chains. Or atleast my one that works only shows 2 chains:

I had the same problem with my antminer but I reinstalled the firmware then it worked  Smiley
Ya I tried re installing the latest firmware several times. Still doing the same thing. Still not hashing and showing 4 chains.

I only see two chains on the unit I just ugraded. I'm assuming that you shouldn't see 4... But I'm having issues as well with mine.
Ya this is my second unit. The first one went fine. But this one isn't working and I'm sure it has something to do with the 4 chains. Hopefully someone can help me with this problem.

When the CDC releases the incident rate of flu's among people receiving the flu vaccine, I might consider it. When they stop putting formaldehyde and thymerisol in the vaccines I might consider it. When they stop incubating the vaccines in egg yolks I might consider it. When they can guarantee that the contaminants in the vaccine are safe and nontoxic I might consider it.
Make sure you take the time to look at all the facts:

Cages with upgradable slots.

I live very close to the location that AMT posted as their office address and over the past few months, I sent them several communications volunteering to help assemble their systems. I have a lot of experience assembling computers and swapping out chips and boards. I'm also very familiar with a lot of the popular mining software options(cgminer, bfgminer etc..). In every communication I've stated very clearly that I can start immediately and that the rate of pay is completely at their discretion. So far I've had no response from them. I sent the email to their website, as well as their avatar on this forum. I'm only letting everyone know this because of their post a few pages back saying that they are looking for staff. I of course emailed that address as well to volunteer my services.
So far I've gotten no response, my offer is still on the table. I am still available to start immediately.

I sincerely wish everyone here the best and hope that you receive what you paid for.

AMT_miners if you're serious about needing staff.... PM me, I'm still happy to help.

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NOTROLL.IN admin overnight withdrew 25% of our coins from our balances ! on: April 16, 2013, 04:14:58 PM
I had no idea. Glad this thread is here to warn people. I'm sure there are many many people like me, that just started mining, that have no idea.
No troll also has an iphone app, that is set to give the shares directly to notroll admin. So I'm sure there are lots of curious phone app users that are just getting robbed. @ 0.5 khash/s doesn't seem like much until you have a million curious browsers doing it.
My point is that, not everyone checks their accounts very regularly or closely or browses these forums very often. So it takes awhile for people to notice this stuff. But I'm certain that people are noticing and no troll is losing a huge amount of it's customers over the way it's been treating them. Wouldn't surprise me if they lost over half their customers already. And they will continue to lose more I'm sure. The fact is, that if you look at the increased hash rate for LTC since this scandal surfaced and no trolls percentage of the total hash rate before the incident and after the incident, what you'll see is that no troll screwed themselves over with shady treatment of their clientele. In terms of market share they basically committed suicide.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: April 15, 2013, 02:13:11 PM
huge improvement in interactive mode. Not sure it is the new update or that I used -C 0 this time. But interactive mode autotuned me to 8x8 and that has my khash at ~46 now on my gtx460m. Which is better than my previous non interactive hash rate by 1khash. And it's better than my previous interactive hash rate by 10khash about a 30% improvement. Was nervous at first because it gave me 3 boos in a row but then the yays started coming. I'll try it in non interactive mode tonight and see if the huge bump in performance carries over to that as well.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: April 13, 2013, 07:16:29 PM
works great on my gtx460m  averaging 45khash
-l 64x4, -l 160x2, -l 96x2   all give me about the same khash

haven't really seen any noticeable improvement in khash between v10 and v13. But the -i feature is great addition. Would be nice to have an easy let down option. Driver crashes with cntrl c. It always recovers in a few seconds though so no big deal.

Great work, thank you very much. Will definitely be getting a donation from me once I have coins.

I'm having an issue mining LTC as well. BTC is working well for me. I'm just using nvidia gtx460m so want to mine LTC with it.
My bat file I've tried dozens of different ways, here's one example:
"setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://notroll.in:3333 -u buysolar.3 -p 12345 --scrypt --gpu-platform 0 -I 0"

when i run it this is the error i get:

 [2013-04-09 03:14:08] Started cgminer 2.11.4

Please help, thank you.
I'm not shure, but it's some kinda problem with GPU, nVidia - is worst choise for mining. Try to change -I param (set it 1 then 2 then 3), and delete "--gpu-platform"

I tried all of that, none of it worked.
