1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MΣC] Megacoin.co.nz - New formula is live on: October 26, 2013, 05:05:46 AM
FFS, Cryptsy is a about the worse in exchanges recently. every time there is a little rally on MEC, cryptsy goes offline for the market to cool down. Talk about frustrating. Cant buy, cant sell. cant get your coin back from canceled orders. Lol its a joke. Amateur hour.

Hmm, a dedicated Megacoin exchange would be nice...  Wink
Cryptsy is undergoing maintenance/upgrade give them a f break already -_-.

I wasn't having a go at Cryptsy so much as entertaining the idea of developing a small Megacoin exchange for the fun of it.

I guess we have to just accept the fact he stole our BTC

This just shows us that even the most respected people in the community can screw you.

I bet he has not stolen from us.

There must be a good reason he is not communicating.

Possibly, he has serious health issues, or he is restricted by law, for some reason, to contact his shareholders. Assuming he is not stealing from us what other possible reasons could there be?

Oh but he is allowed to coins out of his wallet?

Wallet link?

As last we have heard, Megacoin is planning/working to implement Zerocoin as we speak.
This has been announced for quite some time now.
I'm working on implementing Spaceships for mankind too..

Mankind already has spaceahips.

I think zerocoin implementation is not a simple affair if possible at all. Hence the delays.

Megacoin vs DGC.  Opinions?

I think they are both contenders... Both have slightly different qualities - including great devs.

ohh management fee, so why they write pool fee??? BTW didn't they said the they won't charge management because of the delay?

They did not charge a pool fee for the 23rd. Fee starts on the 24th. How generous.

Also my last payment before all this pool business was on the 2nd of October. My next payment which used to come around the 17th did not arrive and it seems the pool records start at the 23rd. So where have my owed coins gone from between the 2nd and the 23rd??

I have been patient but I am rapidly loosing patience with CH  Huh
1010  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: October 24, 2013, 05:33:32 PM
They can't do nothing right.
Logged in with the help of trippn, but can't register a username!  Just keeps goin blank again when I hit register.
I've tried looging to the pool anyway with my new username and password to fails!

Me too.

Seriously who coded this pool website?? Shockingly bad.

I'm happy at the moment, At least my balance is no longer 0.00 Smiley
I was able to login using my email and the password given on the cloudhashing.com site, then I got take to another page where registering a username was blocked out by a banner.
I could just see a password field, So I viewed the source and saw it wanted my email address, a username and the password they gave me on the other site,
So I clicked the password field, Press [shift] and [tab] twice to move me to the hidden email field, filled that in, press [tab] put in my requested username (JazzyJ) pressed [tab] and entered the password I got from cloudhashing.com

I have to admit that is a pain, but i'm guessing the dev probably didn't spend long on registering a username. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon.
Once logged in you can click your profile and add your wallet address, you can also click your balance number and it shows payments.. I'll be more happy if they pay out at 2am as I've set my auto payment to 0.1 Smiley

Anyway, I know it's early and they have been late with a lot of things, I'm happy to see some progress.

Ok - thanks for that detailes 'how-to' I finally managed to login. I hadn't realised that when it was asking me to register a username it wanted me to use the same password I had just logged in with...

Anyway, does this look a bit strange to anyone else - this is an example payment / time entry on my account:

134    contract_payment    Oct. 24, 2013, 4 p.m.    0.00028809    0.02020843    None
135    pool_fee    Oct. 24, 2013, 4 p.m.    -0.00002881    0.02017962    None
136    revenue_reinvestment_witholding    Oct. 24, 2013, 4 p.m.    0.00000000    0.02017962    None

Is the pool fee 10% ?!?!?!? or am I reading that wrong?

Looks like Anoncoin has copied the Kimoto Gravity Well code..  Cheesy

As there seems to be a recurring forking issue going on which we do not know the cause of we will be releasing a reworked version of the 0.7 branch instead of 0.8. The new 0.7 release will still include the kimoto gravity well difficulty algorithm.

Keep leading the pack Kimoto!

Valuing the site at 25k btc which is around $5M

Seems overvalued to me.

Also floating like this at a time when they have been having constant technical problems.

Undecided - watching with interest.

What is it's turn over and what profit in fee's does it take per month currently?

"We currently are collecting in fees over 100 BTC per month.    We estimate that by bringing Fiat currency to the exchange we will increase our revenue by 10-20 fold almost instantly (within 90 days to allow for licensing).   This equates to fee income of 1000 to 2000 BTC per month within 90 days and increasing as more users migrate from other services.   At 2000 BTC monthly income, each share would receive 0.004 BTC per month - which would give a full return on investment within 1 year."

I would say the expected increase of between 10 and 20 times current trade volume is very optimistic.

What are the current costs on those fee incomes?

At the very best forecast (20x current fees) you would make your investment back in a year.

thanks for the info. Will hold fire and see what happens, signed up to cryto stocks anyway will see how many are being snapped up first. I like cryptsy i hope introducing fiat ends up being a wise move, i don't see why it that essential now there is instant coupons with btce coming. From a traders pov anyway. I appreciate from the exchange it could work out well for them but it will be forced through lots of regulation first i am sure.

I like Cryptsy too and hope they succeed. BUT - I think they have valued their company too highly. And I have been burnt by all crypto shares I have purchased so far so a little tentative to jump too quickly.
1018  Economy / Securities / Re: [CRYPTOSTOCKS] Cryptsy.com Exchange Fee Shares IPO Today on: October 23, 2013, 06:15:11 PM
Actually they're selling only 20% of fees, asking for 5000 BTC, but valuating the whole thing at 25 000 BTC.

What a joke.

Yes, I think very overvalued considering they are making 1200 BTC per year in fees (before costs?) currently..
