It switches based on the "current" most profitable. How good it is at doing that, I don't know. Test and document for a week and then go mine a single for a week, so you can compare.

You need to be tracking your btc payouts daily to get a good feel for what you should be getting. It auto switches algo's, so the estimate it gives you is going to vary.

All my rigs are running on wifi with a dedicated router and network for them, this is cheaper and cleaner than managing cables and switches.
Can't get much cleaner than this ... And nope, I'm not running them on wifi.

mining using wifi it's a good idea because of its stable connection speed, rarely experiencing interference, free access and its price is cheaper than a data sim card Pack.
Free access? You're still paying for your internet connection whether you use wifi or not. What are you doing? Loading up your mining rigs up in the back of your truck and parking it at McDonalds for the free wifi? Lol. I'm surprised they let you run an extension cord in the back door to power them.

Well then I was Lucky I guess. I did build it for 2500$.
Well then perhaps you got your 1070ti's way earlier than I did. Mine were purchased at $500 each in mid December. And currently a decent price for them is about $550-580 each. The demand has spiked the price and it just keeps going up.

This NH soap opera is better than The Bold and the Beautiful.. Can't wait to see if you all get your money back.
They have already started ...

please i need more light on how to mine
Yours isn't LED? They are a lot brighter than the old style ones, you fucktard.

If you are concerned, you could just go with a 4 GPU rig and then add the last 2 GPUs after you get a feel for it to make sure it's something you like and can do. Or even just start with 2. But i think it's still worth it to get into the business if you can spare to invest a bit. I wouldn't over extend yourself thought because there could be some big bumps in the road and you will really never get the "estimated" values you see everywhere....those are just to get you to buy in and are usually the best case scenarios which you may get to after a month or two of figuring out all the hurdles and issues and problems.
Lol. Estimates from calculators are not there to get you to buy in, you moron. They are based on real calculations, but this isn't a stagnate market. You can't take a calculation and say it's going to stay that way forever, because the market is going to move. Gawd! You don't know much about current gpu prices, do you? My six gpu 1070ti rigs cost me $3500 to build and that was back when I got 1070ti's for $500 each.

From upstairs in a pillar.
I feel I've given enough details, keeping in mind the question was "How to get a rig to work on WiFi", not "How to reorganize my house"
Just like you would any other computer. Why in the fuck would think it would be any different?

Why would one "HAVE" to use Wifi? Because your internet modem is in the middle of your living room (plugged into a coaxial connection, your former "cable") and you don't want to see a cable running from there to your basement. How are you going to see it? Go right through the floor near the modem into the basement. I'm not drilling through my hard floor :-D Let me guess. Your cable company ran their wires through your window? Lol.

You can mine more than eth with either, so why do you care if/when they switch to pos? I have (4) six gpu rigs and I'm still building, so that should tell you how to feel about the future. Of course I could be wrong.

If you're worried about seeing the cable in the basement, buy some sort of cable management solution that can be mounted to the wall and painted the same color as the wall. Any hardware store sells them.

Are we going to hold hands when we jump off the bridge together? I hope so, Metroid. hehe, I guess if you are a miner then you go alone cause i'm not aminer however if bitcoin continues to crash then is going to be my time to jump off the bridge hehe I guess that dumbass was slightly "WRONG" His mommy probably bought him a new puter or something. Metroid is the equiv of tia lopez, with a more whiney voice, and the opposite opinion.

One of those threads where you know the thread starter before you read his name...
Can anyone guess what metroid is gonna say when there's another correction ?
I was thinking the exact same thing ... Lol.

Not much going on with my local CL ... Just one stupid fucker trying to sell a gently used 1080ti for $1500. Yeah fucking right ... Lol ... I paid $800 each for six of them two weeks ago. DUMBASS MOTHER FUCKERS WHO THINK THEY CAN PRICE FUCK. Nope!~ I mean, the idiot only had one ... Who the fuck just wants to buy one?

I have been mining on Wi-fi two weeks and have zero issues. If you connection is stable with a good provider there is no reason you HAVE to do a wired connection. A USB adapter works just fine. TP-LINK Good stable provider is a given. You certainly need that. That's going to go down even if you are hardwired. If the internet connection isn't there, it makes no difference. Please use good hardware (wifi router, extender, adapters) if you are going to use wifi. And take into consideration the distance between the router and the wifi adapter.

The more I see people say they've been running rigs on wifi, the more I believe that it "can" be stable, if you have quality hardware. I just don't personally trust it. Don't go cheap on anything, if you're doing wifi though. And consider the distance. If you have a quality wifi router that sits in the same room as your mining rigs, it could provide a very stable connection.
For me it was just cheaper to buy a 75ft cat6 cable to run through the ceiling in my office (where my router is) to my mining room. Less than $20 for the cable and around $30 for the 8 port gigabit switch. $50USD is less than what I would have spent buying usb wifi adapters for four mining rigs and I have the stability of a hardwire connection.

I just don't understand how CryptoWatcher420 is saying 16GB max virtual memory unless he meant you should be using way more than 8gb ram. Maybe there is another issue going on here ... I just don't see what it is.
My Vega 56 rig ran stable for 6 weeks with 4gb ram and a 60gb page file, but I've since upgraded it to 8gb ram just for the hell of it. I left the page file at 60gb. One of my 1070ti rigs ran stable for weeks at 4gb ram and a 60gb page file, but I've upgrade that one to 8gb as well. I've never had a problem with either of those.
I do have a couple of problem rigs though. They aren't really a huge problem, because they run, but I see disk controller errors in the event logs (which might be related to the large page file) and every once in awhile one will hang. I just upgraded those to 8gb ram last night and neither one has crashed since, but I still have to have the page file at 50gb min or cuda throws up out of memory errors. And I still see disk controller errors in the event log.
I've done everything under the sun to the two problem rigs (one is six 1070ti's and one is six 1080ti's) and still can't get rid of the disk controller errors. I've swapped the motherboard, sata cable, ssd, compared bios settings to my rigs that are running without errors, updated chipset drivers, reinstalled Win10 and started from scratch. The only hardware that I haven't swapped out in those rigs are the risers and processor.
