One must always fulfill the basic needs of people. I have no complaints about the expenditure that is involved everyday life. If there is money then he has to spend the money compulsorily. But there are some things that we consider luxuries. Those things which are not much needed but need to be purchased from social point of view. If you don't do that, there will be no problem. Every society has such people. Due to which you have to spend money even if you don't want. However, a person must first adopt psychological awareness. Here in the Philippines, gambling is already part of the culture which what we call "perya" which is open to everyone even kids could gambling their properties as long as they are guided by some guardian. I use 5% of my weekly income to gamble and I can not go more than that. Sometimes I can be busy and I can spend less. I think it would depend mainly on a person's financial circumstance. If a person does not have any financial problems to maintain his family then spending 12 percent on gambling in his favor will not have any effect. On the other hand, those with lower incomes may find it difficult to spend 12 percent. In that case 5 percent may be appropriate. But if someone spends 5 percent of money every month on gambling then it will not affect that person. But some gamblers become so addicted to gambling that in some cases they spend a large part of their income on gambling which should not be done. |

I think it is time for ICC to actually let go of test cricket. Instead of spending time and resources on test cricket, I think they really should spend those things for the t20 format. In this day and age, everyone wants to see the winning team have more skill compared to luck.
I don't think the ICC will ever get rid of test cricket since the recent Ashes has proven that it still has a sizeable audience who are willing to watch them despite all of the problems associated with it. T-20 format is definitely a lot more entertaining in comparison, but the test format is special in its own way. Although Test cricket is a long duration, it basically plays a major role in developing a player. It is said that a player's skill, endurance and other things are tested through Test cricket. If this format is abolished then the number of good cricketers will decrease. However, with the change of era and current demands, T20 cricket is now one of the most popular sports. But Test cricket is still preferred by those who love cricket. Due to which, even though there is a long period of time, there are still many spectators enjoying Test cricket. |

West Indies vs India
In the team match I thought that India will perform well in this match and win the match. India lost this match due to the bad performance of the batsmen of the team. The run target that West Indies first put into the field could have been easily exceeded by the Indian team.I did not understand that the batsman of the Indian team, Ishan Kishan, will bat so badly. Ishan Kishan got out with 9 runs in 6 balls. Although the words of the Indian team are good, India lost very badly in batting. It is very sad that India lost the match for 4 runs.
I predicted in another thread that West Indies is a good side in T20Is. They have the ability to beat any team on their day. Pooran and Rovman Powell played well and posted a good total on the board. But, it was chasable for India as well. The winning margin is not too big. They were almost there. So I would say it was bad luck. Indian opening pair failed to play well. Only Tilak Varma was outstanding with the bat. But it's a hard job for a single batter to win the match. He needed some support from another side as well. But others were maintaining a 100 strike rate only. The T20 match between West Indies and India has been extremely competitive. But India's loss to West Indies is really ridiculous, I think some of the matches India lose are because of their arrogance. However, if the Indian batsmen were a little more careful, this match could have been secured. In the first T20 of 5 matches series, the Indian team was badly defeated by the West Indies team. Despite having some good cricketers of IPL they lost the first match. They lost the match by just 4 runs while playing the target of 150 runs. I don't think anyone should be arrested for gambling if he loses a large amount or becomes intoxicated as a result of that loss. Because when gambling is done this kind of tendency is seen in almost many gamblers and after some time that effect also ends. I think their performance in the yesterday match was befitting of the reputation of the Indian team. India did not do well in the 2nd match they lost easily to West Indies. But the Indian team managed to completely turnaround from that situation. West Indies lost the match by 200 runs while India set a big target of 351 runs. They lost the ODI series as well. The top order of the West Indies team has completely collapsed. Out of 5 batsmen in the top order, only one batsman managed to score double-digit runs. I don’t think anybody had given a chance to England after australia went ahead in this ashes series by 2-0. We thought australia was surely going to win, at least one of the three remaining matches. But in the end I think that is the exact mistake australia made. They thought that as well and took things lightly. And that was the chance for England to make a comeback. Of course I also agree that if there was no rain in the fourth test, England could have won the series.
Australia disappointed their fans in the last match. No one was thinking, it would be happened before the start of 5th day. Warner and Khawaja was looking well set and England bowlers was at pressure. England enter in 5th day with better strategy. Chris woakes was the man who able to dismissed both well settled and danger openers very earlier in the fifth day and from here Australia bad times started. Steve Smith and Trivis head partnership was also dangerous but couldn't last to win this match. Australia's downfall started after fall of Travis Head's wicket. But still at that moment Australia's winning percentage was high. In 75 over Smith went back. Then Australia fell by five wickets. But still the spectators predicted that Australia would win. When Mitchell Marsh lost his wicket in the 76th over, the Australian supporter were feeling uneasy. After Mitchell Starc's fall of wicket that threw the match completely behind. The England team got a great win at a time of need. Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali were of immense importance for England's victory. |
